Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski | True Crime News & Commentary
The prosecution's case against Kouri Richins just hit a wall it built itself. On Day 5, Robert Crozier — the alleged original fentanyl source — testified under three immunity deals that he sold Carmen Lauber oxycodone, not fentanyl, and had no fentanyl connection in early 2022. He pointed out errors in his own affidavit, called the language inaccurate, and said his jail interview with detectives felt like them telling him what he'd done rather than asking. This came hours after Carmen Lauber's second day of cross-examination, where defense attorney Wendy Lewis systematically dismantled her credibility. Lauber admitted her story shifted from three drug purchases to four, that detectives explained events to her during interviews, and that Kouri Richins never asked her for fentanyl. She confirmed Kouri asked for "Michael Jackson stuff" — propofol — an entirely different substance.Anna Isbell testified she overheard Kouri mention the "Michael Jackson drug" and assumed it was a muscle relaxer. The defense revealed texts showing a detective threatened Isbell with a warrant and a catch pole for her dog to force cooperation. Additional testimony covered cell phone data extraction from four devices and an undercover narcotics officer whose testimony required a camera blackout.Judge Mrazik denied a mistrial motion filed during the week and sent jurors home after five days that gave the prosecution the science but handed the defense serious ammunition on the question of how fentanyl allegedly reached Kouri Richins. All individuals discussed are presumed innocent until proven guilty.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Sheriff Chris Nanos admitted to the Associated Press he released Nancy Guthrie's crime scene too early. Then he denied it to Fox News. The FBI collected sixteen gloves near the home — and confirmed most were discarded by their own searchers, contaminating the evidence field. A retired FBI behavioral expert walks through fifteen days of documented failures, contradictions, and command breakdowns. The department's pacemaker-detection helicopter was delayed three hours because Nanos demoted the pilot over a personal dispute. On Day 13, pool cleaners were escorted onto the active crime scene. The Othram co-founder whose lab helped identify Bryan Kohberger called Nanos's decision to route DNA evidence to a private Florida lab instead of Quantico "devastating." A federal source said the evidence will need to be retested anyway. The FBI's own statement reads like a pointed objection: "The FBI has and will continue to provide assistance on whatever timeline is provided to us."NewsNation reported investigators still don't know who's in charge. An FBI official said: "This is dumb." On Day 7, Nanos was photographed at a basketball game during an active ransom situation. On Day 3, he told reporters he's "not used to everyone holding me accountable." This interview lays every contradiction side by side and asks when friction becomes something that's actively harming the chances of finding Nancy alive.#NancyGuthrie #SheriffNanos #PimaCountySheriff #NancyGuthrieMissing #FBIvsNanos #Othram #HiddenKillers #TrueCrime #InvestigationFailures #TucsonKidnappingJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? The Nancy Guthrie investigation is nine days old and criminal defense attorney Bob Motta says the contradictions between law enforcement's public statements and their actual investigative actions are building a defense case before anyone has even been charged. On today's True Crime Today, Motta breaks down every major development and explains what a defense attorney sees that most people miss.Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her Catalina Foothills home in Tucson, Arizona. Blood confirmed as hers was found on the front porch. Her pacemaker stopped transmitting. The Nest doorbell camera disconnected at 1:47 AM, and at 2:12 AM the system reportedly detected a person — but no video exists because there was no active subscription. The Pima County Sheriff says there are no suspects, no persons of interest, and no vehicles connected to the case. But the actions on the ground tell a different story entirely. The crime scene was processed, released to the family, and re-entered by FBI agents with canine units at least three additional times. On Day 8, investigators searched the septic tank. Deputies spent hours conducting forensic photography inside the home of Nancy's daughter Annie Guthrie and her husband Tommaso Cioni — the last known person to see Nancy alive — and left carrying evidence bags. A blue SUV was towed from Nancy's property. Gas stations near the foothills are being canvassed for overnight surveillance. The FBI is now jointly running the investigation. President Trump says he is being briefed multiple times daily. Federal digital billboards have been deployed across multiple states. Motta explains what federal involvement signals and how it changes the legal landscape for anyone eventually charged.Bob Motta gives the defense attorney's playbook on every move investigators have made — and what they are not telling you.#NancyGuthrie #TrueCrimeToday #BobMotta #GuthrieDisappearance #TommasoCioni #PimaCounty #FBIInvestigation #CatalinaFoothills #SheriffNanos #BreakingCrimeJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Criminal defense attorney Bob Motta is LIVE on Hidden Killers breaking down every investigative action in the Nancy Guthrie disappearance — and explaining what those moves reveal about where this case is actually heading. Nine days in, the sheriff says no suspects. The evidence trail says otherwise.Nancy Guthrie vanished from her Catalina Foothills home in Tucson, Arizona. Her blood was found on the front porch. Her pacemaker stopped transmitting. Her doorbell camera disconnected at 1:47 AM. At 2:12 AM, the Nest system reportedly detected a person — but with no active subscription, there is no video. Motta explains why that digital evidence is a forensic minefield and how both sides would fight over it.The crime scene has been entered, released, and re-entered at least four times by investigators including FBI agents with canine units. On Day 8, they searched the septic tank. Bob Motta explains why that pattern could be catastrophic for a future prosecution — every re-entry after the scene was released opens the door to contamination arguments that a defense attorney will exploit relentlessly.Law enforcement spent hours inside the home of Nancy's daughter Annie Guthrie and her husband Tommaso Cioni, who was the last person to see Nancy alive. They conducted forensic photography and left with evidence bags. A blue SUV was towed from Nancy's property. Gas stations in the area are being canvassed for surveillance footage from the overnight window.Sheriff Chris Nanos has made multiple public statements that contradict subsequent investigative actions. He said the home was done being processed before agents returned. He said he did not know the family was posting video pleas until his wife showed him. Motta explains why every one of those contradictions becomes ammunition and what they reveal about the investigation's actual focus.#NancyGuthrie #HiddenKillersLive #BobMotta #GuthrieCase #TommasoCioni #SheriffNanos #FBISearch #CatalinaFoothills #TucsonAZ #LiveTrueCrimeJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? On Day 39 of our 40-day fast, Overseer Azizah Morrison led a reflective and faith-strengthening teaching from Ephesians 3:20, marking this moment as a sealing point in the consecration journey. This session focused on recognizing the work God has been doing beneath the surface—shaping, maturing, and expanding faith beyond what can be immediately seen or measured.Listeners were reminded that God's power continues to work within them, preparing them for more than they imagined. This teaching emphasized trust in God's promises, confidence in His faithfulness, and the assurance that what has been formed during these forty days will continue to unfold beyond the fast. The time concluded with prayer, sealing this season with expectation and confidence in God's ability to do exceeding abundantly above all we ask or think.

There's something different about Day 1. The hunger is real. The focus is sharp. The excuses are gone.On Day 1, people show up early, stay late, and do whatever it takes—by any means necessary. The enthusiasm is high, the work ethic is relentless, and the desire to prove yourself fuels every move. That mindset is the foundation of winning in life.In this episode, we break down why so many people lose momentum once success shows up—and how comfort quietly pulls them toward mediocrity. When you take your foot off the gas too soon, progress stalls. But when you stay locked in, disciplined, and determined to win each day, everything changes.A Day 1 mentality means treating every day like an opportunity to go 1-0. It's about staying hungry, staying focused, and separating yourself from who you used to be as you chase down the life you were called to live.Because winners don't live off yesterday's success—they attack today like it's Day 1.#Day1Mentality #Greatness #ByAnyMeansNecessary #StayHungry #Relentless #Discipline #crush#WinningMindset #NoDaysOff #NeverSettle #ChaseGreatness #StayFocused #ProveThemWrong #BuiltNotGiven #DreamChasers #SeparateYourself #ConsistencyWins #KeepTheFootOnTheGas #ef3lifw #lifetothefullest #win #podcast #goals #dreams@ef3life on social mediaBooks on Amazon: -Winning With Money: Dollars & $ense -FIRE Burning Within-The SAINT Next DoorFor life coaching or to learn more about how to win in education, faith, fitness or finance contact me: danielmjason@gmail.comListen to my original Music: EF3LIFE Music on Spotify:

This session was both affirming and strengthening, reminding listeners that consecration births new beginnings and prepares the heart for what God is bringing forth.

Senior Bowl film, defensive front focus Jeff Risdon is not in Mobile, but he is deep in the Panini Senior Bowl practice film. The Detroit Lions Podcast zeroed in on five defensive players who stood out on the first day. The lens stayed on the defensive front. Think day two or day three targets, with one possible first-rounder in the mix. The Senior Bowl staff set up on-demand practice cutups for those not on site. That access matters. The tape shows pace, drills, and assignments without the noise. The Detroit Lions need disruption and discipline up front. Day 1 offered both, and the film backed it up. TJ Parker's measurements and Lions fit at 17 TJ Parker of Clemson checked in at 6-foot-3 and three-quarters, 263 pounds, with 33.25-inch arms. That falls within the Detroit Lions' edge profile, even if it is smaller than Josh Paschal and lighter than Hutch by 10 to 15 pounds. The game is power to speed. He does not flash the same speed to power you see from Hutch or Micah Parsons, but he carries force through contact. Parker plays the run on the way to the pass. On Day 1, the team drills told the story. He stacked and shed on the edge. He got into the backfield and stayed assignment-sound. No freelancing. No lost contain. That backside contain matters in the Kelvin Sheppard defense. He must improve his get-off and block deconstruction, but the traits align with what Detroit wants. If the board falls a certain way, Parker fits the conversation at number 17 overall. The measurements are close enough. The role is clear. The tape shows a defender who can set an edge, disrupt, and finish within structure. Senior Bowl meeting reality check Every single player in Mobile meets with every NFL team. It is scheduled. It runs 10 to 15 minutes per club. Do not get swept up in “met with” posts. That is the format. Informal chats still happen after practice, like when Ray Agnew once spoke with Hendon Hooker, but those are not the only touchpoints. The universal meetings keep players engaged in the process and give teams baseline exposure. Derek Moore brings a big Day 1 Michigan edge Derek Moore delivered a whopper of a first day. The clip made the rounds on social media. The key is that it was not a one-off flash. The first look showed power, urgency, and finish from a Big Ten frame. As the week continues, the team periods will confirm whether that surge holds when the offense hits back. For a Detroit Lions front seeking reliable force and clean edges, Day 1 put Moore firmly on the radar. The Detroit Lions Podcast will keep grinding the cutups as the practices roll. Day 1 gave Detroit clear defensive front options. The tape will decide who sticks. #detroitlions #lions #detroitlionspodcast #seniorbowl #paniniseniorbowl #tjparker #clemson #derekmoore #michigan #kelvinshepparddefense #teamdrills #backsidecontain #number17overall #joshpaschal #hutch #micahparsons Learn more about your ad choices. Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski | True Crime News & Commentary
The prosecution's catfishing theory just hit a wall. On Day 7 of the Brendan Banfield double murder trial, defense witness Harry Lidsky—a former DOJ digital forensics expert—testified that the data simply doesn't support the state's case.According to Lidsky, within the same minutes the FetLife account was created on Christine Banfield's laptop, her phone was searching a Lululemon sale. He believes the same person was on both devices. That's a problem for prosecutors who claim Brendan and Juliana secretly created the account while Christine was home and unaware.Lidsky also testified that Brendan Banfield and the au pair weren't always home when Christine's devices were accessing FetLife or messaging Joseph Ryan. If they weren't there, who was behind the keyboard? And then there's the 45-minute Telegram call. Joseph Ryan spoke with someone he believed was Christine for nearly an hour about their plans. The prosecution says it was Brendan or Juliana posing as Christine. But they can't prove it.The biggest news? Brendan Banfield will take the stand. His attorney announced it Friday morning. When he does, he'll face cross-examination from prosecutor Jenna Sands—and she's going to ask about everything. The blood. The affair. The gun he bought a month before his wife died. The daughter calling the au pair "Mommy" days after Christine's death.Banfield has pleaded not guilty. He faces life in prison if convicted. Next week, we hear his side. One of them is lying. On Day 26 of our fast, Overseer Azizah Morrison led a tender and faith-filled time of teaching and prayer centered on Psalm 147:3 and the healing grace of God. This session focused on how God heals the brokenhearted with patience, care, and attentiveness, binding wounds rather than forcing exposure or rushing the process. This teaching invited listeners to allow grace to reach places that may have been protected, ignored, or managed rather than healed. It emphasized that healing in the Kingdom is often quiet and restorative, addressing deep emotional and spiritual wounds with precision and compassion.Through prayer, this moment created space for God's healing grace to restore what has been broken, strengthen what has been weary, and bring wholeness to the heart as we continue this consecration journey.
On Day 10 of 40 Days & 40 Nights, EJ previews the NFL Championship Sunday matchups between the Rams-Seahawks and Patriots-Broncos, we'll also discuss the rumor that the Steelers are interested in hiring Miami head coach Mario Cristobal, and LeBron's comments following the report of friction with Jeanie Buss! On Day 20 of our fast, Prophet Reginal Mack led us into a powerful teaching and prophetic charge centered on 2 Timothy 1:6, calling us to stir up the gift of God within us. This session marked a significant moment in our consecration as we approached 21 days, a prophetic threshold signaling transition, completion, and new beginnings. This teaching focused on divine stirring, God awakening what has been dormant, reigniting spiritual capacity, and preparing His people for the closing of one season and the opening of another. As we near the 21-day mark of this fast, this word affirmed that endurance produces alignment and that consecration positions us for movement into a new era. This was a timely and weighty moment of teaching and prayer, reminding us that what God stirs in this season is not accidental, but purposeful, as He transitions His people forward.
On Day 6 of “40 Days & 40 Nights”, EJ recaps the NFL's Divisional Round games, the firing of Bills Head Coach Sean McDermott and the Miami-Indiana showdown in the CFP title game. Watch "40 Days & 40 Nights" Hosted by EJ Stewart LIVE every weekday at 8am & 6pm on YouTube, X & IG Live.
The prosecution's entire case against Brendan Banfield comes down to one person: Juliana Peres Magalhaes. She spent a year in jail facing murder charges. Then she changed her story, took a plea deal, and agreed to testify against the man she says she helped kill. Her reward? Time served and deportation to Brazil. But there's a catch — her sentencing is scheduled after Banfield's trial. Her freedom depends on his conviction. On Day 1, Magalhaes delivered. She described in graphic detail how Banfield allegedly shot Joseph Ryan in the head, then stabbed his wife Christine repeatedly in the neck while their 4-year-old daughter waited in the basement.Prosecutors allege Banfield and Magalhaes — the family's au pair who was having an affair with him — created a fake profile on a fetish website using Christine's identity to lure Ryan to the home. Ryan believed he was meeting Christine for a consensual sexual encounter. Instead, prosecutors say, he walked into a kill room. From jail, Juliana wrote to her mother that she was "heartbroken" for what she was doing to Brendan. She said she still loved him. But she wanted to go home. So how does a jury weigh testimony from someone whose freedom depends entirely on conviction?Retired FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer breaks down what corroborating evidence prosecutors need to make the testimony stick — and the questions defense attorneys will use to destroy her credibility. The defense argues digital forensics show Christine was the one communicating with Ryan. They say investigators who contradicted that theory were removed from the case. Banfield faces life without parole plus 13 years if convicted. The trial is expected to last four weeks.#BrendanBanfield #JulianaPeresMagalhaes #ChristineBanfield #JosephRyan #TrueCrimeToday #AuPairMurder #JenniferCoffindaffer #MurderTrial #FairfaxCounty #TrueCrimeJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?
