Nyomi is 15 days into her 30 Hard challenge, and tonight she gets REAL about what discipline actually means. On Day 13, her body shut down. She had a choice: restart at Day 1 or repeat Day 14 and continue. She chose to honor the work she'd already done and keep moving forward. This episode explores the difference between perfectionism and REAL discipline - it's not about being perfect, it's about being RESILIENT. It's about continuing when you fall, not erasing your progress.Nyomi shares the powerful story of a man who walked from Philadelphia to Los Angeles to raise money for a school, got hit by a car during the journey, and kept going. That's what real discipline looks like.If you've ever thought about restarting instead of continuing, if you've been knocked down and wondered if it's worth getting back up, if you're learning what real discipline means - this episode is for you.KEY TOPICS & MOMENTS:✓ 15 days into 30 Hard challenge✓ Day 13 body shutdown (post-explant surgery healing journey)✓ The choice: restart at Day 1 or repeat Day 14✓ Nyomi chose to CONTINUE and honor the 13 days of work✓ What she did on Day 14 (pull exercises, eating right, continuing)✓ Day 15 moving forward✓ The Philadelphia to Los Angeles walker (100-day goal, got hit by car, kept going)✓ Discipline vs. Perfectionism✓ Resilience as the core of real discipline✓ Honoring your progress (not erasing it)✓ Getting up where you fall✓ The importance of "your why"✓ Not being afraid to work hard to find out how great you can be✓ Morning rituals (shower, altar, prayer, meditation, journaling)✓ Understanding that things happen (unforeseen circumstances)✓ Continuing forward vs. starting completely over✓ The quote: "Don't be afraid to work hard enough to find out how great you can really be"✓ Community wisdom (callers shared their experiences with starting/stopping)✓ Self-love isn't about perfection✓ Healing journey awareness✓ Discipline in real life (when podcasts interrupt morning rituals, etc.)THE CORE MESSAGE:"Discipline is so sexy, but not because it's perfect, but because it's RESILIENT.Because it continues. Because it honors you in where you are and how you're moving and how you move from there. When you get knocked down, you get up where you fell and you keep going. That's discipline. That's resilience."— Nyomi BanksTHE 30 HARD CHALLENGE:Nyomi's 30 Hard consists of:✓ 30 minutes altar/prayer/meditation✓ 30 minutes walking✓ 30 minutes working out✓ 30 minutes reading/listening to uplifting content✓ Eating healthy mealsDay 13: Body shut downDay 14: Repeated (honored the 13 days + kept moving)Day 15: Pull exercises, healthy eating, continuing forwardTHE PHILADELPHIA TO LOS ANGELES WALKER STORY:A man set a 100-day goal to walk from Philadelphia to Los Angeles to raise money to build a school in Philadelphia.During the walk, he got HIT BY A CAR.Did he:A) Restart from Philadelphia?B) Give up?NO.He said: "Fix me up. I'm going to heal and continue walking."128 days total.Got knocked down.Got back up WHERE HE FELL.Kept going. That's real discipline. That's real resilience. His "WHY" (helping the kids get a school) was bigger than any obstacle.CALLER INSIGHTS:**BRUSH COMMENT:**"The confidence in which one rocks their clothes matters more than any price tag."On starting/stopping: When you have a bad day, it's not failure. Big Brother Recaps & Live Feed Updates from Rob Has a Podcast
BB28 Monday Live Feed Update July 27, 2026 Watch this podcast on YouTube! Big Brother 28 houseguests are caught in a web of shifting alliances and growing mistrust as Kamu's backdoor plan sets off tensions at a so-called “tea party.” Host Taran Armstrong leads today's recap episode, joined by guest Scally, to break down a day full of strategy, awkward confrontations, and vote-flipping attempts. On Day 20 in the BB28 house, Kamu sits as Head of Household with Lyric, Lala, and Mallory as his original nominees. After Lyric wins the Veto and plans to save herself, Kamu targets Jason as his backdoor replacement — a move he wants to justify with a dramatic house callout at a tea party. The event, meant as a lighthearted snack break, quickly turns into an uncomfortable confrontation about broken promises and shifting alliances. Meanwhile, Drew and Yash try to sway votes to keep Mallory in a Jason Blockbuster win scenario, while Dee, Devens, and Angela debate whether it’s smarter to evict Mallory or Lala if Jason saves himself. Throughout all of this, the cast navigates the messy aftermath of Kamu's public speech, leaving Jason isolated and sparking side conversations about loyalty and gameplay. Taran Armstrong explains Kamu's reasoning behind the public callout and how it's more about ostracizing Jason than honest gameplay. Scally notes Dee's subtle influence as she cools tensions between Angela and the other vets and keeps alliance options open. Drew and Yash form a tight mini-alliance, but their push to keep Mallory fizzles when Kamu and key players resist flipping the vote. Haley makes a strong push to evict Lala instead of Mallory, using logic around competition threats and the gender balance in jury. Awkward moments abound as the tea party derails, with Jason left alone and others avoiding even basic comfort. Right now, the majority power group risks punching down as vote intrigue sways and social bonds fray. Will Kamu's dramatic strategy ruin his game, or is someone else setting up for a bold move next? Listen in for all the details and find out what's really brewing in the Big Brother 28 house. Welcome back to our space. We've been doing a lot of moving work, breathing, and affirming. But today we're going to find some stillness. One of the easiest ways to tell your busy mind that it's time to rest is through your hands. On Day 4, we're introducing the Dhyana Mudra. It's a classic gesture of deep meditation that creates a sacred bowl with your hands, a place to hold everything you're feeling without being overwhelmed by it. In today's episode wer'e talking about: The Void and the Fullness: Understanding that the space between your palms is a place where healing can actually breathe. The Practice: How to Place Your Hands Rest your hands in your lap, palms facing up. Place your right hand on top of your left. Bring the tips of your thumbs together so they just barely touch, forming a soft oval shape. Imagine your hands are a bowl catching all the peace and quiet of this moment A Little Reminder for Your Day You don't always have to do something to heal. Sometimes, just sitting with your hands in your lap and your heart open is the most productive thing you can do. You've got this. On Day 2, we move from the foundation to The Rest. In our modern world, we treat rest as a luxury, but the Ancient Sumerians saw it as a mechanical necessity for the soul. Today, we step out of the "horizontal" struggle of our Wednesday to-do lists and sink into the "vertical" depth of the present moment. We are learning that you don't have to "earn" your peace; it is the ground upon which you already stand. In today's episode: Ancient Insight: The Sumerian concept of the "Abzu"—the quiet, primordial deep where all life begins. The Emotional Arc: The Rest. Transitioning from "doing" to "being" without guilt. The Anchor: An affirmation to ground yourself. On Day 6 of The Anchor of Now, we reach the peak of our practice: Integration. Throughout the week, we've learned to ground, rest, and activate our power. Today, we layer these techniques together—the Jnana Mudra, the Solar Plexus fire, and Box Breathing—to create a state of "Unbroken Flow." When we integrate our physical, energetic, and mental anchors, the future stops being a threat and simply becomes the next moment of your presence. In today's episode: Insight: Why "Presence" is the ultimate coordinator of your life. Practice: A layered meditation combining hand mudras and chakra focus. Emotional Arc: Moving from fragmented worry to unified strength. This is day 6 of a 7-day meditation series, "Let Go of Self-Limiting Thoughts," episodes 2791-2797. THIS WEEK'S CHALLENGE - INNER WISDOM QUEST At the end of each day, reflect on three of your best qualities. Honor your qualities with gratitude. THIS WEEK'S MEDITATION JOURNEY Day 1: VISUALIZATION: Stop self-limiting thoughts. Day 2: AFFIRMATION: "Everything I need is within me." Day 3: WISDOM BREATH Inhale: listen to your inner wisdom. Exhale: release self-doubt Day 4: JNANA MUDRA Touch thumb to index finger to cultivate inner wisdom. Day 5: CHAKRA FOCUS: Third chakra located at your abdominal region. The element is fire, the color is yellow, and the quality is zest for life. Day 6: WORRY RELEASE FLOW MEDITATION: Combining the week's techniques Day 7: WEEKLY REVIEW MEDITATION: Closure with a review of the week's highs and lows. On Day 5 of The Anchor of Now, we move from the stillness of the first two chakras into the radiant energy of the Third Chakra, the Manipura or Solar Plexus. This is the seat of your "will," your "I can," and your personal power. When we worry about the future, we often feel powerless, as if we are at the mercy of circumstances. Today, we stoke the inner fire to remind you that while you cannot control the future, you are the master of your response to it. In today's episode: Insight: Why "choosing" the present moment is the ultimate act of power. Practice: A "Sun Breath" visualization to radiate confidence from your center. Chakra Focus: Activating the yellow energy of the Solar Plexus for courage and boundaries. This is day 5 of a 7-day meditation series, "Let Go of Self-Limiting Thoughts," episodes 2791-2797. On Day 4 of The Anchor of Now, we transition into the emotional arc of Clarity. After landing, resting, and grounding, we are now steady enough to look at our lives without the blur of anxiety. Today, we introduce the Jnana Mudra, the ancient "Seal of Wisdom," to bridge the gap between our personal energy and the universal flow of presence. In today's episode: Mudra: Detailed guidance on the Jnana Mudra for focus and knowledge. This is day 4 of a 7-day meditation series, "Let Go of Self-Limiting Thoughts," episodes 2791-2797. On Day 3 of The Anchor of Now, we move from "Rest" into the active energy of Grounding. Confidence isn't about being the loudest person in the room; it's about having a nervous system that feels safe enough to be seen. Today, we combine the stability of the Root Chakra with a specialized Confidence Breath designed to shift you out of "shrinking" mode and into your full, authentic stature. This is day 3 of a 7-day meditation series, "Let Go of Self-Limiting Thoughts," episodes 2791-2797. On Day 6, we reach the pivotal emotional arc of Surrender. Surrender is often misunderstood as giving up, but in the world of mindfulness, it is the ultimate power move. It is the brave act of dropping your internal resistance to what is. Today, we integrate every tool we've practiced this week—the Prithvi Mudra, the Apana Vayu Mudra, and Box Breathing—to create a state of total emotional fluidity. In today's episode: Science: The "Resistance Tax"—how fighting reality drains your biological resources. Insight: Eckhart Tolle's "Yielding" technique for dissolving the ego's anxiety. Integration: Combining our weekly anchors into one seamless practice. This is day 6 of a 7-day meditation series, "Overcoming Future Anxiety: The Power of Now," episodes 3479-3485. THIS WEEK'S CHALLENGE - 5-4-3-2-1 SENSORY CHALLENGE When your mind races toward the future, stop and name: 5 things you see 4 things you feel 3 things you hear 2 things you smell 1 thing you taste Goal: Find one "micro-beauty" daily—a tiny detail you usually miss while worrying. THIS WEEK'S MEDITATION JOURNEY Day 1: VISUALIZATION: Breaking Your Worry Loop Day 2: AFFIRMATION: "I am safe in the stillness of right now." Day 3: 4-4-4-4 BOX BREATHING: Inhale 4. Hold 4. Exhale 4. Pause 4. Repeat 4 times. Day 4: APANA VAYU MUDRA "Life-Saver" mudra because of its profound ability to soothe the heart and calm a racing nervous system. Hold your index finger down so the tip touches the fleshy mound at the base of your thumb. Bring the tips of your middle finger and ring finger to touch the tip of your thumb. Extend your pinky straight out. On Day 5 of The Anchor of Now, we explore the emotional arc of Nurture. Often, when we worry about the future, we treat ourselves harshly, as if we can "scare" our way into being prepared. Today, we return to the Muladhara (Root) Chakra with a softer lens. By combining the science of the Vagus nerve with Eckhart Tolle's wisdom on "Being," we learn that the most productive thing we can do for our future is to deeply nurture our present state. In today's episode: Science: How the Vagus nerve acts as the body's internal "nurturer." Insight: Why your "Being" is more important than your "Doing." Practice: A soothing visualization to wrap your awareness in comfort and safety. This is day 5 of a 7-day meditation series, "Overcoming Future Anxiety: The Power of Now," episodes 3479-3485. On Day 4 of The Anchor of Now, we move into the emotional arc of Protection. In a world that constantly demands our attention and projects its own anxieties onto us, learning to protect our inner space is essential. Using the powerful Apana Vayu Mudra, known as the "heart-saver," we learn to regulate our emotional response and create a sanctuary of stillness that no future "what-if" can penetrate. In today's episode: Insight: Why your "inner purpose" is the ultimate shield. Practice: A visualization to create an energetic boundary around your peace. Mudra: Detailed guidance on the Apana Vayu Mudra for heart health and emotional balance. This is day 4 of a 7-day meditation series, "Overcoming Future Anxiety: The Power of Now," episodes 3479-3485. On Day 3 of The Anchor of Now, we explore the emotional and energetic arc of Grounding. While Day 1 was about releasing and Day 2 was about resting, Day 3 is about building your foundation. Using the wisdom of the Muladhara (Root) Chakra, we move from the "airy" space of future-anxiety into the solid, unshakeable strength of the earth. In today's episode: Insight: The connection between the Root Chakra and your sense of survival. Practice: A deep grounding visualization to stabilize your nervous system. Mudra: Continuing with the Prithvi Mudra to reinforce earth-energy. This is day 3 of a 7-day meditation series, "Overcoming Future Anxiety: The Power of Now," episodes 3479-3485.
