Danielle Mackey is a gift. The wisdom that she has the ability to articulate is paramount and her vulnerability on Ep. 07 is refreshing. Together, we discuss her recent health scare, how fear came in (again), and what it looks like to struggle with seeing yourself beyond the facade of your current circumstance. We love this episode knowing that healing was never meant to be a journey that you walk through alone. It is our hope that you see how perfection can cause you to build this false reality when God is inviting you into His truth about who you are and the life you were born to live. It’s time to live it. Just because you are healed in one area, doesn’t mean you haven’t grown at all. Don’t believe the hype. Are you feeling burnt out? Like an imposter? STUCK? Well, throw your hands up, throw your head back, and shout hallelujah because Ep. 06 is for you! Listen in as Monica takes us behind the scenes of her beautiful journey and what it looks like to make a mistake and struggle to forgive yourself for it. She speaks about holding yourself to “perfect” standards you were never created to attain and letting go of your aim being the expectation of others. Your future isn’t dependent on how much you get it “right”. Mistakes will be made. You will fall short. Yet we believe there is great power in pacing yourself, pausing when needed, and never abandoning the pursuit of growth. In order to forgive yourself, you have to face yourself. It’s time to look in the mirror. Follow Monica on Instagram @monicaumunna for all things life transformation. Yo! We did this episode a little different. Jordyn, our Content & Community Manager is hosting today. But switching up the host doesn't change the potency of our assignment nor the breakthrough you’ll encounter. May the redemptive nature of God be revealed to you. Our guest found herself in places she had never imagined; from fighting for custody in court to long lines at the WIC office. That is until she faced herself, her circumstances, and chose a different path. Surrender was her choice, snatched up by Abba was her outcome. We’re inspired by Nyshell’s ability to continue breaking out of confined places and to not be married to a title. She is proof that pursuing a LIMITLESS life, full of the purpose and passion that God placed within you is possible. Meet Nyshell Nyshell Lawrence is a wife and a mama x4. She is a multi-passionate poet and creative entrepreneur. Born and raised in Lansing, MI; Nyshell transparently shares her journey from tragedy to triumph, through the art of performance poetry. She is the author of Scarred: The Beauty In My Pain and SHE: A Sista Girls’ Guide to Overcoming Her Past & Pursuing A Limitless Future. She is COMMITTED to empowering women in life and business, while holding space for women navigating all stages and seasons of life. We’ve all experienced what it feels like to be in the MIDDLE of our journey. Those moments where we are wishing for that part of our story to be over with already, when it’s actually in that part of our process, that testimonies are birthed. It’s the turning point! On today’s episode, Elizabeth Lawton explains how she found herself in the middle of the sidewalk, feeling like a failure. In that moment, God used a stranger to remind her of her identity in Him. It is our hope that this episode reminds you that there is no failure in God, only back to back wins. Follow Elizabeth on Instagram @bossy.behavior for all things faith and fun. Jordyn Miller has such a pure heart, and this week her sobriety and perspective on the topic was a gift. I asked Jordyn pretty bluntly a few weeks ago - what do you feel is on your heart to share? With the cutest but saddest emojis, she responded with one word, rejection. Now, I’m sure she wasn’t actually sad but surrender isn’t always easy. That’s when I knew, God was up to something. I could literally sense that He had a plan for both her and YOU! And well, this is it. Together, we discovered how belonging has little to do with who you’re not and more to do with who you are. Your feelings can be faulty, your mistakes aren’t final, and you belong not when you step out but when you step in. Jordyn confessed (her words, not mine) that towards the end of the episode, “I buried my head in a pillow and just cried” because the tears brought upon a transformation she wasn’t quite expecting. May her vulnerability impart victory. P.S. I know the sound quality isn’t perfect. Jordyn’s tears were about process but mine were based in perfection and performance. Ouch! That was hard to admit but I decided to publish this episode (and the next) anyway because it’s not about me. Here’s to obeying God, flaws and all. Oh, and make sure to follow Jordyn on Instagram @jordyynnb for all things hope and healing. She really has a heart to see women break free and become whole.
