In 2019, I joined a group of students from Texas Tech on a five-day bikepacking trip through Big Bend Ranch State Park. That trip is where I met Anna Claire. On the morning of day two, she and I sat down to record Episode 6 of the Bikes or Death Podcast. That conversation provides important context for today's episode, as it showcases AC's longstanding love for Big Bend. No one can do children's ministry alone. How does a children's ministry staff shoulder the weight of discipling the people under their care? There is an art to recruiting, placing, supporting, and developing serving partners to care well for our children and families. We also want them to become an integral part of a discipleship ministry team and find a place of belonging themselves. In this workshop, recorded at the 2025 Rooted Conference in Chicago, we examined practical ways to collectively share both the burden and privilege of ministry in the local church.    Melanie Beasley believes ministry is an art.
