In This Episode: Cecil Lammey and Sigmund Bloom break down a busy wave of NFL free‑agency moves, starting with Romeo Doubs signing with the Patriots. Does Doubs actually move the needle for New England's offense, or is he more of a complementary piece than a true difference‑maker. The guys dig into his fit, his role, and what it means for fantasy value in 2026. Then it's on to the Cardinals landing Tyler Allgeier, a move that gives Arizona a physical, efficient back who could thrive in a bigger role. Cecil and Bloom explain why the fit works and how it reshapes that backfield. They also dive into Mike Evans joining the 49ers, breaking down why he's such a clean schematic match and how he could elevate an already loaded offense. Finally, the fellas look ahead at the next potential dominoes: could stars like AJ Brown or DK Metcalf actually be on the trade block. What would it take. And which teams make the most sense if a blockbuster goes down. watch on YouTube -> https://youtu.be/y3HWK4Si7S0

FIPS is an open source mesh networking project that enables devices to connect directly to each other without relying on any central servers or infrastructure. Today's internet depends on companies and governments that can monitor, censor, or shut down communication at will. FIPS solves this by giving every node a cryptographic identity and encrypting all traffic automatically, so no one in the middle can see or block what you're doing. Nodes discover each other and route messages through the mesh on their own, and regular apps like browsers and SSH clients work on top of it without any special setup.Arjen on Nostr: https://primal.net/p/npub1hw6amg8p24ne08c9gdq8hhpqx0t0pwanpae9z25crn7m9uy7yarse465grJonathan on Nostr: https://primal.net/p/npub19wavu4f7l6l43h24jyskn7fvzy37kcfp67aqjtmv2qgy4lp34nhsda8p6k FIPS Repo: https://gitworkshop.dev/npub1y0gja7r4re0wyelmvdqa03qmjs62rwvcd8szzt4nf4t2hd43969qj000ly/relay.ngit.dev/fips Tollgate: https://tollgate.meSovereign Engineering: https://sovereignengineering.io/ EPISODE: 193BLOCK: 939631PRICE: 1465 sats per dollar(02:03) Introducing FIPS and the goal of a middleman free internet(04:16) Why static IPs fail for hosting and how FIPS reframes identity(05:51) Decoupling transport and routing: protocol-agnostic design(06:50) Peer discovery across Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, and local broadcast(07:43) Future global routing ideas and decentralized discovery(09:05) Local mesh handshakes, Noise encryption, and Bloom filters(11:02) Community meshes, resilience, and mixed transports(11:42) Starlink and bridging meshes over the wider internet(13:21) Use case: protest resilience and reconnecting to the world(14:08) Origins: conferences, Sovereign Engineering, and NoDNS(16:04) From NoDNS to FIPS: faster updates, remaining gaps(17:10) Economics: sats for peering and incentive-aware routing(18:00) Abuse, DDoS surfaces, and defenses via npubs and rate limits(19:45) Learning from mesh hype cycles and bootstrapping adoption(22:32) Lowering app friction: make existing apps work over FIPS(25:12) DNS trick: IPv6 mapping and transparent transport(27:08) Backwards compatibility as a must-have for scale(28:08) Rethinking data flow with Nostr streams and local hosting(30:12) Offline-to-online spectrum and graceful reconciliation(31:10) Status update: early servers, testers, and bandwidth limits(32:20) Physical constraints: MTU, Bluetooth, LoRa(36:00) Reality checks: pitfalls, past meshes, and expectations(38:12) New primitives: Nostr, Blossom, eCash; Jonathan's role(40:37) Identity concerns, key rotation, and operational practices(46:10) Hosting sensitive services: hot keys(48:09) Self-hosting privately, Tor comparisons, and latency(49:37) Observation, Tollgate incentives, and community privacy(50:40) Tollgate legal concerns and community norms(53:21) Call to action, testing FIPS, and packaging plans(55:10) Closing thoughtsmore info on the show: https://citadeldispatch.comlearn more about me: https://odell.xyz

This week Christine puts on her tin foil hat and dives deep into a conspiracy theory that turns a classic beloved Disney ride into an ominous underground operation. Tayler chose to keep it light with a list of criminals who chose to commit crimes that had authorities and the public both scratching their heads. A serial foot tickler, a phantom barber giving non consensual haircuts to people while they sleep and a runner who loves to take dump in peoples yards. We love the creativity!Spank you for listening. Do less God bless. Gloom & Bloom out!

Happy 10th Anniversary, ABA Inside Track! Yes, after 10 years of laughs, research discussion, and podcasting, we're finally reaching the Tin-phase of the show (because we're so durable). Though, beyond our long-winded trips down memory lane, we're still here doing what we do best: Creating amazing discussions about topics and research that matter to behavior analysts. Plus a Book Club! We kick the month off with some special guests including Dr. Kathleen Feeley who brings us up to speed on supporting children with Down syndrome using ABA methodology, and friend of the show, Dr. Casey Clay, who shows us how to extend preference assessment technology to the social interaction realms. Finally, we wrap up our regular episodes with a dip into OBM by reviewing the research on using public posting to improve employee performance. Then, our Spring Book Club sprouts with a very timely discussion of "The Anxious Generation" by Johnathan Haidt with Book Club Guy, Alan Haberman. Over the years you may have heard of the term “Super Bloom” from social media posts of people with vibrant fields of flowers behind them. But where did this term come from? Is it scientific? Or is it just a social media phenomenon? In 2019 KALW's Marissa Ortega-Welch explored a few theories about the origins of this “super bloom” mania… and its impact.

When scientist Edward Bloom demonstrated humanity's first anti-gravity device to the world, a single billiard ball punched through his chest at the speed of light — and the only question that remains is whether the man who aimed it knew exactly what would happen.*No AI Voices Are Used In The Narration Of This Podcast*Take the Weird Darkness Survey: https://take.supersurvey.com/QGZCRXPVSIN THIS EPISODE: “The Billiard Ball” is a science fiction murder mystery short story by author Isaac Asimov, written in September 1966 and first published in the March 1967 issue of “If”. The story is based on a journalist's tale on the events that occurred when an antigravity device was discovered. The story describes the relationship between the creator of the device, billionaire inventor Edward Bloom, and his old college friend James Priss, a Nobel Prize-winning theoretical physicist who discovered the theory on which Bloom's invention is based. I recorded this one while inspired by that late-winter pocket just before the season shifts, where warmth starts flirting with you after the long stretch of cold, and something in you begins to wake up—almost like spirit saying, "not yet… but soon."This episode is a reflection on the thaw before the bloom, where momentum is building beneath the surface, delays can feel frustrating, and where you're being asked to keep tending the seeds you've sewn, even when they haven't sprouted yet.In this episode, we explore:expansion and imposter syndrome as your nervous system catches up to your growthwhy delays are spiritual preparation and not punishment“not yet, but soon” energy and where it lives in your lifewhy winter isn't a movement season, but a tending seasonhow late winter lives in the bodyhow to stay grounded before visible proof of transformation arrivesA few reflections to carry with youYou're welcome to sit with these now, or return to them later—on a walk, while journaling, in the shower, or right before sleep:If your body had a weather pattern today, what would it be?Where do you feel “not yet, but soon” energy in your life right now?Where do you feel the cold—where do you feel like you're chasing warmth? What might this season be trying to show you that you can't see when you're rushing?Does this scare you because it's wrong… or because it's new? What would it look like to trust the preparation you're already in, even if the bloom isn't visible yet?Thank you for being here. This week, Scott was joined by Lawfare Managing Editor Tyler McBrien, Lawfare Senior Editor Molly Roberts, and University of Virginia Professor of Law Paul Stephan to talk through the week's big news in national security, including:“Textual Healing.” On Friday, a 6-3 Supreme Court majority brought an end to at least the current iteration of President Trump's controversial tariff policies, ruling that language in the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (or IEEPA) authorizing the “regulation of…importation” doesn't include the authority to impose tariffs. That said, President Trump himself has already indicated that he intends to reinstate many of the tariffs he had installed using IEEPA under other statutory authorities. How big a setback is this for the Trump administration's trade policies? And what might it mean for other aspects of its policy agenda?“Mayhem in Mexico.” Over the weekend, an elite unit of the Mexican army killed one of the country's most powerful drug kingpins, Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, also known as “El Mencho.” His syndicate, the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, immediately retaliated, through attacks on Mexican security forces, roadblocks throughout the country, and other measures intended to terrorize the public, particularly in areas frequented by American and Western tourists. The decision to move against El Mencho followed an intense pressure campaign by the Trump administration, which has pushed Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum to take a hard stand against the cartels. Should this be seen as a win for the Trump administration? Or Sheinbaum? And what could the long-term implications be for the U.S.-Mexico relationship?“Clap if You Believe.” On Tuesday, President Trump delivered his annual State of the Union address, the longest of its kind. Many had braced for a contentious speech, expecting Trump to ridicule the justices seated in front of him and potentially even announce strikes on Iran. But Trump appeared to pull his punches on both of those fronts—he instead saved his harshest words for congressional Democrats and focused on laying out a rose-colored picture of the state of the country. How effective was Trump's speech? And what does it tell us about the current state of his second presidency? In object lessons, Tyler just has this strange sense that you will enjoy the Otherworld podcast. Molly (and her dog) find comfort in the soft, squishy claws of Cthulhu. Scott eased his travel woes with a twist on the Vieux Carre at Birch & Bloom in Charlottesville. And Paul mixed his object lesson with three parts: Peter Suderman's Cocktails if you're into all things shaken and stirred; Mark Galeotti's podcast, In Moscow's Shadow, if you're into all things Russia-related; and Dan Wang's New York Times Best Seller book, “Breakneck,” if you're into all things China-related. Send a textOn a recent cruise in the Caribbean, God began speaking to me about something I didn't realize I was missing — margin. Not more productivity. Not more opportunity.Margin.The space between my load and my limit. The breathing room in my time, finances, and emotional energy. In this episode, I share how Jesus modeled margin for ministry, Mark 1:35, why interruptions are often divine assignments, and how living too full can cause us to miss the very people God places in front of us.Because love requires availability. And availability requires space.I'll also give you practical ways to build intentional margin in this season and reflection questions to help you discern where you may be overfilled. If you're longing to slow down and hear God more clearly, this episode is for you.And if you want guided space to practice listening and creating with Him, explore my Creative Healing Bundle, Refreshing the Soul, or Ashes to Bloom.God still speaks. Episode 222: Thomas Batchelor and Fred Bloom: From Tennessee to The Alamo In this episode of Reelfoot Forward, Interpretive Ranger Thomas H. Batchelor and historic interpreter Fred Bloom of David Crockett Birthplace State Park join the conversation to explore the real life, legacy and enduring legend of David Crockett, one of Tennessee's most iconic figures. The discussion comes at a pivotal moment for the park. Hurricane Helene devastated the site in 2024, destroying interpretive spaces, the reconstructed farmstead and monuments along the Nolichucky River. The team there has since been reimagining how to connect people to Crockett's story and rebuild a network of stewards who care about preserving his legacy. Out of that opportunity comes The Alamo Pilgrimage, a weeklong journey retracing Crockett's path from Tennessee through Arkansas and into Texas, culminating at the Alamo for the 190th anniversary of the battle. Traveling in a mobile homestead, the crew will visit key historic sites, share live educational content and document the journey in real time, all while building regional partnerships and elevating the authentic Crockett story beyond myth and folklore. As a symbolic gesture, they will present a stone from Crockett's birthplace cabin to the Alamo, reinforcing the connection between these historic landscapes. From separating fact from fiction to examining Crockett's political career, migration across Tennessee and global popularity, this episode offers both history and hope, showing how digital storytelling, collaboration and community engagement can help carry the Crockett story from the banks of the Nolichucky River to the walls of the Alamo and into a new generation. After a wild few weeks, Nikki & Brie are back on the mics, just the two of them. And there's so much to catch up about. From food poisoning and feeling like they had mono to realizing that their 20-year-old recovery days are officially behind them, the twins get real about burnout and listening to your body when it's screaming “rest.” They also dive into their Valentine's Day details, why they're not stressing about Super Bowl landing on February 14 next year, and the sweet and sometimes chaotic magic of motherhood. From Matteo's whale-watching adventure and Cathay Pacific obsession to Buddy's umbrella chivalry and Birdie giving up Taylor Swift for Lent, it's a full family catch-up with an unexpected grammar debate about “fish vs. fishes.” As they reflect on evolution, quiet eras, horsepower energy, and what it means to bloom where you're planted, Nikki & Brie leave you with a reminder to protect your peace and choose environments that water you instead of run you dry.
