Whether it's how to get into a yoga pose or self-care tips, we're talking about it! I ask that you try whatever it is we discuss "just for today". Change is scary, so I'm only asking "just for today".
Today's episode is on how the human standing in front of you is the most important thing in that moment. I recorded this before quarantine and it's interesting how this all still rings true and maybe even more so now? Venmo: @vinyasachick Website: www.vinyasachick.com
Today's episode is a minisode with an exercise on bringing more gladness into your day! It's easy to recall our pains, our mishaps, our failures, and that type of thinking has kept us safe from future harm and injuries. SO in order to be more grateful, we have to practice the skill of remembering what brings us joy, love, peace, contentment, gladness, and gratitude. When we allow ourselves to experience those events, we are training our brains to seek those moments and bring more gladness into our lives! We've all been there before, you HAVE to engage in an uncomfortable conversation. You're sweaty and nervous. You've already seen how it's going to end, so you're just dreading it. Well what if there were some tools to help you navigate these tumultuous waters of difficult communication? On this episode I share some ways to help you keep your peace and stay human during those difficult conversations that we all have. We shouldn't shy away from these exchanges, but rather the aim is to step in with an open heart and with peace and respect for ourselves and those we're in communication with. Joining us ALL the way from Australia, on this episode I interview Mary Agnes Duncan on the good, the bad, and the ugly of the wellness world! Mary Agnes has worked in the marketing and communications side of wellness through her experience at Rosewood Market, a local health food store here in Columbia, SC. Did you know that the wellness industry is $4.2 trillion market, according to Forbes! So what's the big fuss? How are things being shared? What are THEY doing right? Where can THEY improve? And the biggest take-away, as the consumer where's our power in this market and how can we make an impact? Website: www.vinyasachick.com Instagram: @vinyasachick Venmo: @vinyasachick

On this episode I interview Ian Bonnema, my podcast partner, about competition both on and off the mat. Part of our need to compete comes with our biological programming, but most of the times we have the choice. We're taking a dive deep into: Why do we feel the need to compete and what forces drive us to continue to compete? How do we deal with people trying to compete with us in classes? Is there competition on the business side of yoga (amongst yoga teachers, studios, businesses, and classes)? Website: www.vinyasachick.com Instagram: @vinyasachick Venmo: @vinyasachick
Take a few minutes to get grounded with me today! It's daunting to begin meditating, but taking the time to center yourself is a great way to start adding mindfulness to your routine! You can take the time of this recording to get still or sit for a little longer if you have time after the recording stops! In this episode I go over the value of “failing”. I think we all can learn from our mishaps, but I think the ego gets in the way. We try to recover from the failure before we actually learn from the experience, so we continue to mess it up! I share some ways to reflect when we feel like we're “failing”, so that our interaction with that situation is a little better next time and that we can actually evolve and grow. I share about some of my failures as an entrepreneur and what I've learned along the way so far. In this episode I talk about a podcast episode with Byron Katie and I misnamed her host. Sam Lamott interviews Byron Katie and here's a link to that podcast episode: http://hellohumans.co/blog/who-would-you-be-with-byron-katie Main website: www.vinyasachick.com Instagram: @Vinyasachick Venmo: @vinyasachick
In this episode of the podcast I discuss how paying attention is a powerful experience both on and off the mat. We have glorified multi-tasking and being over-committed when really we're craving the ability to slow down and focus. What are we missing when we're doing too much? Better yet, what we can gain by choosing to pay attention ON PURPOSE! www.vinyasachick.com
It's hard to start something new, yet alone actually stick with it! Today's episode is all about how to get consistent both on and off the mat! www.vinyasachick.com
Today's episode is all about following your joy! When's the last time you found joy other than your weekend or on vacation? Let's find our joy and stay curious about where you can find joy in the small everyday moments. www.vinyasachick.com
Today's episode is about filling that toolbox or "safety net", the umbrella, to keep you safe during the shit storm of the comparison spiral. It feels like you can't pull yourself out of those challenging times, but I'm sharing some of my favorite tools, so when it DOES go sideways- it's life, it happens, you've got something in your corner to help you! www.vinyasachick.com
This episode of the podcast is all about who's listening when we speak unkindly to ourselves. Hint- it's literally every cell in your body! www.vinyasachick.com
