    Reducing Your Impact on the Trail

    In this episode, we close out Earth Month (April) with a chat about protecting the environment and Leave No Trace. We explain each LNT principle, give our own interpretation, and share our tips for reducing our impact on the environment when on the trail.   There are 7 Leave No Trace principles: Plan Ahead & Prepare, Travel & Camp on Durable Surfaces, Dispose of Waste Properly, Leave What You Find, Minimize Campfire Impacts, Respect Wildlife, and Be Considerate of Other Visitors.   Here are three takeaways from this episode: 1) Go over the LNT principles, but try to understand what they mean for you. 2) Use your best judgment. Pick and choose your battles.  3) Sh*t happens. Don't beat yourself up for one violation.
