On his last deployment Jimmy was critically wounded during a firefight but survived because of K9 in Jimmy’s unit. That night a Belgian Malinois, named Remco, spared Jimmy’s life while losing his own. Today Jimmy orients his life around the training, care, and preservation of working dogs through the charity he founded, Spike's K9 fund.
