The Django Template Language now supports template partials, making it easier to encapsulate and reuse small named fragments within a template file. Django now includes a built-in Tasks framework for running code outside the HTTP request–response cycle. This enables offloading work, such as sending emails or processing data, to background workers. Email handling in Django now uses Python's modern email API, introduced in Python 3.6. Fix common misspellings in text files. It's designed primarily for checking misspelled words in source code (backslash escapes are skipped), but it can be used with other files as well. It does not check for word membership in a complete dictionary, but instead looks for a set of common misspellings. Therefore it should catch errors like "adn", but it will not catch "adnasdfasdf". For our use case, with just a bit of manipulation on top of ruff analyze graph we replaced our use of deptry (which was slower - and I try to be careful depending on one-man projects). It is an honor and a privilege to welcome music producer and songwriter Toby Gad to the first Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast Holiday Special!  Toby began his career in the late 1980s, when he and his brother Jens had three of their songs featured on controversial music duo Milli Vanilli's European debut and multi-platinum album, All or Nothing. Because of the songs' success, Milli Vanilli's producer Frank Farian produced the brothers' 1990 debut album, NRG. That same year, Toby met Jacqueline Nemorin, and a 10-year collaboration began with 1992's Creole Dance and continued with 1995's Mission of Love and the title song for Neverending Story III.  Following success in Germany, Toby left for the United States. He opened Strawberrybee studio in Midtown Manhattan and co-wrote “Unspoken” with Madeline Stone and O. Hatch for Christian platinum artist Jaci Velasquez. The song stayed on the Christian Billboard Top 20 Singles chart for half a year.  In 2003, Toby produced and co-wrote “A Toast to Men” for Willa Ford, and two years later, developed, produced, and co-wrote Kaci Brown's Interscope Records debut, Instigator. He also produced and co-wrote songs for Ricky Martin and the Veronicas.  In 2008, his career shifted into high gear after Fergie released a song they co-wrote, “Big Girls Don't Cry.” The song went 4x platinum and peaked at the number one position on the US Billboard Hot 100. He also co-wrote and co-produced Beyoncé's “If I Were A Boy,” which went 2x platinum and peaked at number three on the US Billboard Hot 100. He continued to write massive hits for Calum Scott (“No Matter What”), Demi Lovato (“Skyscraper”), Jessie J (“Who You Are”), Josh Groban (“River”), Leona Lewis (“Fire Under My Feet'), and Madonna (“Bitch, I'm Madonna” and “Living for Love”).  One of his massive hits was John Legend's “All of Me,” which earned RIAA's 13x Diamond (Highest Certified RIAA Single in History) and won Grammy, Soul Train, and NAACP Awards.  Recently, Toby Gad released his first holiday studio album, Piano Diaries Christmas. The album features original songs co-written with an all-star group of recording artists. The company's third quarter 2025 results marked a critical inflection point, delivering the strongest financial performance in company history whilst completing permanent dewatering infrastructure that had previously constrained access to higher-grade mineralisation at the flagship Granite Creek underground mine.President and CEO Richard Young confirmed that permanent dewatering systems installed during Q3 2025 will enable accelerated underground development over the next six months into zones where "grades get better, ground conditions get better, and we expect mining rates to rise." A 47-hole infill drilling programme scheduled for completion in mid-December 2025 is yielding results that Young characterised as "consistently solid. Very good grades over very good widths," with a feasibility study incorporating these results expected at the end of Q1 2026 showing "materially better" economics than previous assessments.Construction of the Archimedes underground mine commenced in Q3 2025, providing the second production centre necessary to justify the strategic refurbishment of i-80 Gold's Lone Tree autoclave facility. The autoclave refurbishment represents the pivotal value creation opportunity in management's development thesis. With current toll milling costs ranging between $1,000 and $1,500 per ounce, i-80 Gold is effectively surrendering $200 million to $300 million in annual EBITDA at the 2028 production target of 200,000 ounces. Young stated unequivocally: "Strategically and economically, that refurbishment is very important for us to move forward with."Engineering firm Hatch has largely completed engineering work on the approximately $400 million autoclave refurbishment, with the board approving a $25 million limited notice to proceed authorising detailed engineering, long-lead equipment orders, and permitting initiation. The company expects to commence pouring gold through the refurbished autoclave before the end of 2027, creating an 18 to 24 month payback period on the capital investment at current gold prices.Beyond Granite Creek and Archimedes, i-80 Gold completed infill drilling at its Cove underground project during Q3 2025, with results showing the total mineralised envelope up between 10 and 20 percent compared to previous estimates. A feasibility study is scheduled for Q1 2026, with permitting targeted for completion before the end of 2028. The company will release three major feasibility studies between Q1 2026 and Q1 2027 covering its core underground operations, each expected to show material improvements over preliminary economic assessments.Management has received six term sheets from financing partners and is advancing toward recapitalisation completion by Q2 2026 to fund both phase one and phase two of the development plan. But early into that work, it was the pull of business and its potential to drive social value that pulled him in. Today's guest, David Ellis, is the founder and CEO of Hatch Africa, a company seeking to bring a new business model to sub-Saharan Africa to, in their words, bring eggs and chickens to every household. On day 22 of the government shutdown, Utah Sen. John Curtis sat down with Heidi Hatch to share why he believes the stalemate was “pre-determined,” driven by partisan politics.Before the interview, Curtis voted for the 12th time to reopen the government with a continuing resolution that failed 54-46, falling short of the 60 votes needed to advance. Three Democrats voted with Republicans, but no additional Democrats crossed the aisle.At 22 days, the shutdown is now the second-longest funding lapse in modern history, surpassed only by the 35-day shutdown in late 2018 and early 2019.Curtis said a short-term continuing resolution may be necessary to get the government reopened, but it's not a long-term solution.“It doesn't make sense to keep the government closed when the very people we're trying to help with high premiums are also the ones losing SNAP benefits,” he said.He noted that since 1974, Congress has only passed a budget on time four times, often relying on continuing resolutions or shutdowns that end in massive omnibus spending bills. Curtis is pushing a new approach modeled after Utah's baseline budget system, where prior-year funding automatically carries over until new appropriations are passed.“Instead of a shutdown, an omnibus, or a CR, we'd simply stay on the previous appropriation,” he said, calling it a plan that promotes fiscal responsibility.Still, Curtis said Washington has grown accustomed to crisis politics.“Both Republicans and Democrats are part of the problem,” he said. “It's a fair accusation.”While he said he understands the frustration of families facing higher health premiums, Curtis believes tying those costs to shutdown negotiations is inappropriate.On federal subsidies, he added, “People like free things once we give them free things. It's near impossible to undo that. Do people at 400% of poverty really need zero premium? Maybe they need some help, but certainly not zero premium — and yet, how do you take that back?”As the Senate remains gridlocked and the House out of session, Curtis warned the shutdown could last “a long time” unless public pressure builds.
