Since being guided back to finding a church to call home, after thinking I didn’t need church, or God in my life, I spent most of my adult life doing it on my own and failing miserably. 2 dissolved marriages and a general unhappiness in my job and personal life left me searching for answers. Fast forward to being guided here, I want to strengthen my knowledge in the bible and deepen my understanding. So if we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen. Since what is seen is temporary but what is unseen is eternal
Comfort in the Bible does not mean a soft pillow or a cushy life
This life is a vapour that quickly vanishes, but your labour in the Lord will bear fruit that lasts forever
We are guided by a Saviour who loves us despite our unloveliness
What an absolutely beautiful picture of a deeply caring relationship
It's not a matter of whether the food is clean or unclean, it's more about loving others more than loving the liberty to eat whatever we want
Paul became all things to all people, that by all means he might win some
Above all we are asked to remember that marriage is about the gospel
Those who pursue purity have clearer spiritual sight
Facts without faith do not provide identity, meaning or purpose
The only thing we contribute to our redemption is the sin that made it necessary
What a beautiful and peaceful life we get to experience, what great hope to look to, when we sustain each other in the love of God
My life is an arena in which to prove my love for Jesus by loving others
Gods children are those who remain with Him and know Him well
Our struggle and suffering is NOT happening because God is withholding His love
Everything that is right will continue to emerge and radiate out from the life of a person who experiences new birth
Those who believe in the gospel will receive his strength and heavenly riches while those who choose to reject - their minds will become dark
God knows our heart. When we're true to ourselves we are true to Him and we will never get it wrong
In surrendering our lives fully to Jesus, there are 3 elements that are key: prayer, giving, and fasting
Our part is to believe, and then act on that belief. This is faith
When praise and worship are raised wholeheartedly within us God shows up in all his glory abundance and love ❤️
When we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are made righteous and we live in truth as our response to the love of God
Only Jesus knows the most effective and appropriate path for us to complete restoration. We need only to surrender to it
Have you ever had that unmistakable ‘nudge' to do something? Did you do it??
Intimacy takes time and effort. And the fruit that comes from it is so special
What the enemy is capable of it's only temporary and will pass away, but God‘s Word and His Promise is eternal
When we are trustworthy in the little things, we will be entrusted with bigger things
If we're not moving forward we are going backwards…momentum always prevails!
Our prayers shouldn't be granted according to our wishes and whims, but instead for His will and purpose for our greatest good
When we surrender to God‘s love and care, there will be no more worry and disappointment ❤️
When we receive Jesus as our own personal Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit makes a home in our heart ❤️
If we want to experience God‘s miracles, we have to allow God to do it
Jesus gave true advice to his disciples; watch and pray so you will not fall into temptation
Our faith doesn't grow in safe sufficient conditions but during strong, threatening and hard challenges.
The Bible says Jesus didn't need to be well known to serve. When pure intention is the motivating factor… the outcome is irrelevant
Jesus died for our sin, he was chastised in replacement of us
