“No One Else Would Go There”Mark 5:1-201 They went across the lake to the region of the Gerasenes. 2 When Jesus got out of the boat, a man with an impure spirit came from the tombs to meet him. 3 This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain. 4 For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the irons on his feet. No one was strong enough to subdue him. 5 Night and day among the tombs and in the hills he would cry out and cut himself with stones.6 When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees in front of him. 7 He shouted at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? In God's name don't torture me!” 8 For Jesus had said to him, “Come out of this man, you impure spirit!”9 Then Jesus asked him, “What is your name?”“My name is Legion,” he replied, “for we are many.” 10 And he begged Jesus again and again not to send them out of the area.11 A large herd of pigs was feeding on the nearby hillside. 12 The demons begged Jesus, “Send us among the pigs; allow us to go into them.” 13 He gave them permission, and the impure spirits came out and went into the pigs. The herd, about two thousand in number, rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned.14 Those tending the pigs ran off and reported this in the town and countryside, and the people went out to see what had happened. 15 When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid. 16 Those who had seen it told the people what had happened to the demon-possessed man—and told about the pigs as well. 17 Then the people began to plead with Jesus to leave their region.18 As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. 19 Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” 20 So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed.CONNECT WITH USIf you have any questions or would like to get to know us further, head over to https://www.triumphlbc.org/connect and fill out our online connection card.ABOUT TRIUMPHTriumph wants to see the life and message of Jesus transform your heart, home, and city. Episode 147 of 2 Minute Disciple Season 5 explores the deeply moving story of Jairus' daughter in Mark 5:35–43. Just as Jairus receives the worst news imaginable — “Your daughter is dead” — Jesus speaks five life-giving words: “Don't be afraid. Just have faith.” This contemplative Christian podcast episode invites listeners into a quiet place of trust, especially in moments when it feels like God has arrived too late. Through a gentle rhythm of slowing down, reading Scripture, noticing, meditating, responding in prayer, and practicing a daily spiritual habit, we reflect on the faith of Jairus and the authority of Jesus over death, despair, and hopelessness. Jesus walked into a house full of mourning, took a little girl's hand, and called her back to life. And in the same way, He still meets us in places where hope feels buried and reminds us that He is never too late. This episode is for anyone carrying disappointment, grief, delayed prayers, fear, or the ache of waiting on God. It is a reminder that even when circumstances seem final, Jesus is still at work.

Some days, Life is Brutal! Suffering is all around us, but it seems to hurt more when we are suffering, or even worse, when our loved ones are suffering. What do we do when we are suffering? Does God notice? Does God care? God is with you, even when life is brutal. We worship a God who suffered for us and gives us a hope of eternity without suffering.Recorded live at Word of Life Church in Le Sueur, Minnesota, on Sunday, May 24, 2026, with Pastor Jason Lang preaching.
The sin of unbelief- Jairus trusted Jesus when He was challenged to believe despite what seemed to be a failed attempt to have Jesus heal his daughter. His faith was rewarded when he saw Jesus raise his daughter from the dead. In contrast, Jesus "could do no mighty works" in his hometown of Nazareth because of their unbelief.

In this powerful message from Elevate City Church's Half-Hearted series, Peachtree Corners Campus Pastor Thomas Cheeseman challenges believers to put to death missional apathy and live wholeheartedly for Jesus. Preached on International Day for the Unreached and Pentecost Sunday, this sermon explores Mark 5 and the story of the demon-possessed man who was radically transformed by Jesus and sent to reach his city with the Gospel. Thomas shares a passionate call to repentance, consecration, evangelism, and revival, reminding us that there are still 3.4 billion unreached people around the world who have never heard the name of Jesus. If you've been feeling spiritually complacent, distant from God, or stuck going through the motions, this message will reignite your passion for the Great Commission, the secret place, and sharing your testimony. Discover how your story can be a weapon against darkness and why God is calling everyday believers to boldly make Jesus known in their neighborhoods, cities, and the nations.
Speaker: Robert ConnIn Mark 5:1-20, Jesus crosses a storm to reach one broken man living among tombs, isolated, chained, and completely overwhelmed by darkness. While everyone else avoided him, Jesus moved toward him. This message is about the authority of Christ over the things that control us, the freedom only Jesus can bring, and the reality that no one is too far gone for the grace of God.Need Prayer?
Episode 144 of 2 Minute Disciple Season 5 journeys into one of the most intense and hope-filled encounters in the Gospels: Jesus and the demon-possessed man in the region of the Gerasenes from Mark 5:1–13. This contemplative Christian podcast episode reminds us that no life is too broken, no bondage too strong, and no darkness too deep for the authority of Jesus Christ. While the world had abandoned this man to isolation, shame, and torment, Jesus crossed a storm to reach him personally—and everything tormenting him bowed before the Son of the Most High God. Through a peaceful rhythm of slowing down, reading Scripture, noticing, meditating, responding in prayer, and practicing a daily spiritual habit, listeners are invited to honestly examine the areas of life that feel unbreakable and place them before Jesus. This episode speaks to anyone wrestling with fear, addiction, shame, spiritual exhaustion, destructive patterns, or hopelessness. It is a reminder that freedom is found not in our strength, but in the authority and compassion of Christ.
Keep believing- A man named Jairus with a gravely ill daughter, and a woman dealing with an issue of blood flow for 12 years each came to Jesus out of desperation. Jesus chose to help the woman first, while Jairus's daughter died in her sickness. Why does God choose to heal some people and not others?
Join us for our Baptism Weekend as we celebrate what God has done in the lives of his children. Evan Alrutz will also open the Word with a sermon entitled "Unclean No More" from Mark 5:25-34.
In this final message of the Love Thy Neighbor series, Pastor Alex reflects on the power of story and the invitation to share what God has done in our lives. As we sit with the healing story in Mark 5, we're reminded that our stories don't need to be polished or complete to point people toward Jesus.

The true nature of the relationship between Jeffrey Epstein and his brother Mark Epstein remains surprisingly murky despite years of public scrutiny surrounding Jeffrey Epstein's life and death. Publicly, Mark has at times portrayed their relationship as somewhat distant or less intertwined than many observers expected, especially after Jeffrey became one of the most notorious figures in the world. But financial records, property transactions, and overlapping business connections have suggested the brothers may have maintained a much closer relationship behind the scenes. The two were reportedly connected through various corporate entities and real estate dealings over the years, and Mark remained publicly supportive of Jeffrey even after Jeffrey's 2008 conviction. Critics have pointed to those continued associations as evidence that the brothers' relationship may have extended far beyond occasional family contact, especially given the level of trust and financial overlap reflected in some of the records that have surfaced. At the same time, many aspects of their relationship remain largely unknown because relatively little direct documentation or firsthand testimony about their personal dynamic has entered the public domain. Mark Epstein has frequently spoken out about the circumstances surrounding Jeffrey Epstein's death, openly rejecting the official suicide ruling and criticizing the federal government's handling of the investigation into what happened at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in 2019. His willingness to aggressively challenge the official narrative has only fueled further interest in how close the brothers truly were and what conversations or interactions may have occurred privately between them over the years. While there is no public evidence linking Mark Epstein to Jeffrey Epstein's criminal conduct, the limited information that has emerged has left many observers with the impression that the brothers' relationship was likely far more substantial and interconnected than early public portrayals suggested.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-moscow-murders-and-more--5852883/support.

Waiting is one of the hardest things God asks of us. When prayers go unanswered and silence stretches on, it is easy to wonder whether He has forgotten us or moved on to someone else. In this message from Mark 5, Lead Pastor Aaron Brockett shows that what looks like a delay is often a divine appointment in disguise.
