About He was once told by a manager that he'd never be able to build a team because he'd be a horrible manager. He didn't have the people skills. He believed him, so tried to set up businesses that didn't need people. But it didn't work — they couldn't grow or operate without him. His family and friends encouraged him to give up building businesses and stick with what he was good at — business process consulting. When his first employee quit, he learned during her exit interview that she felt they didn't have a good culture, processes or ways of working. He decided there and then not to let this happen again. Over the course of the next few years, he got smart about how businesses need to be run... The impact? He now has two software businesses with a combined team of 16 super happy people, that do not require him day-to-day in the business — he can focus his time on growth, or take significant time off to be with family. Sadly he knew so many business leaders stuck where he was... It's now his mission to help business leaders to build and use amazing processes and onboarding so that they can delegate effectively, support their team's development, and achieve more with less stress. --- Alexis is currently active in three businesses / roles: 1. Co-founder of AirManual, making it easy to create simple processes and onboarding that others can use, edit and provide feedback on. 2. Co-founder at Spidergap; the employee-friendly 360 degree feedback tool. We work with over 500 organizations (inc 3M, PwC, Pepsi) around the world to help their employees to prioritize and take action on their personal development. 3. Partner in the management consultancy Bridging Insight Ltd, focusing on improving the ways in which teams across organisations work together. Have worked with global FTSE 100 organisations (inc. Sony, AstraZeneca, IMI, ABF) to help them improve working relationships between teams and individuals, and to design and implement the roles, processes and technology to support effective working. In his spare time (when it exists!) he is also host of the Parentpreneur Accelerator podcast and founder of Parentpreneur Ltd; helping parentpreneurs to build successful start-ups whilst having quality time with their families.
