Hang out and listen to Traci Weintraub interview her interesting friends while they taste test Gracefully Fed food!
So I sat down with Terri Sarris, my all time favorite professor from the University of Michigan. I can without a doubt say that most people who have had her class feel the same way about her that I do! She's simply the best! My last class with her was a sitcom class that I got to take with my friend Nick Hall, executive producer and first roommate I ever had in Los Angeles. Nick's resume is nothing short of amazing. He's produced shows like the Comeback, Enlightened and most recently White Lotus. We talk college, TV, how those things cross over and on top of it…we eat soup! Enjoy
Lindsey Kraft is a television actress who you can catch in SO many shows including Grace & Frankie on Netflix. She's currently writing her first musical that she herself composed. She even gives me a sneak peak at one of the songs. If you have a chance, please tune into this episode where we talk about connecting the dots, acting and of course, soup and eating healthy on set.
I met the wonderful Mayim Bialik on the set of The Big Bang Theory where she rooted me on as I went from assistant to my first job as video switcher. Mayim is an accomplished actress, neuroscientist, podcaster, recently announced Jeopardy host!!! But did you know she also makes SOUP!!! I loved talking with her, catching up and talking all things food and health. Hope you enjoy this one as much as i do! Traci
This is one of my favorite chats with some of my favorite kick ass ladies. I've worked with these ladies on some of the best shows on Television, Two and Half Men, The Big Bang Theory, Mike & Molly, Living Biblically (thought I'd throw one in there you might not recognize). While they are all currently directing, they ran so many stages as 1st ADS which is a position on set that is lucrative to the show. Listen in and join our conversation, find out more, see if they like the cookies i sent and enjoy. I know you will. They are awesome! And I'm so happy I get to work with them!
Do I stalk Tori and her TikToks? Yes. Do I want to be as hip as she is? 100 percent. Are we starting our own version of MTV's The Challenge called Chronically Challenged? Perhaps. So glad I got to chat with Tori and also have coffee with her, spot a housewife, then stare at said housewife while sitting in silence. All things that fascinate me and should fascinate you too. Tune in to this episode and then go watch her TikToks!
Tune in today as I chat with actress/director, @melissafumero. Yes, she's amazing and hilarious in Brooklyn Nine-Nine and bonus, she's also amazing and hilarious on One Day at a Time where we met! Highly recommend both shows, if you're looking for a little summer binge-watching. Grab a bowl of soup and join us!
If you've ever worked on set, you have definitely befriended your script supervisor. They are the hub. The epicenter. We all rely on them for notes, dialogue, time code, continuity and for me…gossip, I mean they are the center of everything. I had the pleasure of talking to some of my favorite scriptys today. They have been such amazing forces in my life and I I'm sorry you only get to hang with them for this episode. There jobs on set are crucial but these woman have been support, friendship, love and all the good things to me as I've gotten to work with them on so many shows throughout my career. I hope you have time take a listen and see if they like the soup :)
Today I got to talk with Dr. Steven Bock, my lyme literate doctor who has been treating me for many years. I thought since it is Lyme Disease Awareness Month, who better to educate us on diagnosing lyme, treating lyme and contracting lyme. It took me 19 doctors before I was diagnosed and then I finally met Dr. Bock, whose patience and willingness to listen to ALL of my symptoms changed the course of my health. I'm thankful for him for my ongoing wellness and I'm thankful he was able to chat with me today. I urge you to take the time to listen and…wear bug spray!
Jonny is the founder of the non-profit organization, Imerman Angels. An organization that envisions a world where cancer is not a solitary experience. He is also the founder of the non profit Cloz Talk which helps other non profits get their swag on. Jonny himself is an angel. I've never met anyone who can't not smile. He lights up every room with his positivity and has been a family friend for years. Check out our convo in this new episode!
Reno is one of the nicest actors I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I was lucky to meet him when I worked on MIKE AND MOLLY and I was super lucky to talk to him on this weeks episode of Soup Switcher. While working on the show I noticed he was incredibly good eating on camera. It has been concluded he might be the best at it. Tune in to see…
An executive producer and professional lego put togetherer. Guys, Jen D'Angelo, writes for YOUNG ROCK, is scribing the new HOCUS POCUS film and she was almost eaten by a bobcat on the Warner Bros lot. These are all things you'll want to hear about on the next episode of Soup Switcher. If you don't, you're really missing out. She's also really funny and patient as I talk her face off. God bless her.
I met Carly at a friends wedding. I fell in love with her on the four hour ride home to LA. In the car ride I also discovered she was on Broadway, my ultimate dream of dreams. Her voice is amazing, she dances and yet never took a dance class, she's everything I wanted to be when I grew up. I love her but I secretly am severely jealous of her. We talk about this along with cooking as she does that too!! Tune in to this episode and become as jealous as I am! #carlyhughes #broadway #chicago #fosse #cookingwithcarly
High School seems like a distant memory but I could have sworn I was an all-star athlete. Unfortunately, even at my best, I was no Sue Bird. Today Varsity Football player, Brian Pinkow and myself…bench warmer Traci get to talk with our High School Friend, Olympic Gold Medalist, WNBA champion, NCAA champion and lover of Gracefully Fed's Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies. We talk Syosset, the diner, the ice skating rink, proposals and beepers.
Before Beth was a Showrunner on Arrow and was pitching her own ideas at networks, she was an ice cream scooper at Stuccis in Ann Arbor Michigan. We've been friends for a long time and our career paths have been very similar but also very different. Today while eating my carrot cake, she sheds some light on getting to where she is now and gives me hope that maybe one day she will cast me in one of her shows. She might have been kidding whereas I was totally serious. But most important…GO BLUE!
This was fun. Boomer Dougherty and David Dechant are camera operators in the Television Industry. I've been lucky enough to work with them on multiple shows. As a video switcher you are constantly watching the cameras and how they move from shot to shot and Boomer and David have helped me get better at anticipating their shots and knowing what to expect. Today they try some soup but also give us some tips on how to break into working behind the camera.
Today I got to talk with best friends Tricia O'Kelley and Alex Kapp. I had the pleasure of meeting them on the set of The New Adventures of Old Christine. You probably have seen them on things like Seinfeld, Friends, Gilmore Girls...the list goes on. They let me creepily watch them eat and also gave some insight to new aspiring actors who are getting into the biz. Hope you enjoy our chat as much as I did!
