The Holiday season is here, and what a better way to celebrate than with rock and blues legendary guitarist, Gary Hoey! Gary just released a new album for Record Store Day (2023): Hark the Ho Ho Hoey Hits. Plus he has begun his holiday Ho Ho Hoey tour. This episode of our show is all things Christmas and holidays, with a little added spice by Gary.  In 1993, Gary Hoey got well known with his remake of Focus' "Hocus Pocus". He then followed that with the Endless Summer 2 soundtrack and in 1997 with one of his first big Christmas hits: "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch". Gary one time auditioned for Ozzy Osbourne, when Ozzy was searching for a replacement for Jake E. Lee, but the job went to Zakk Wylde. Now after 30 years and 24 albums, Gary is still considered one of today's most acclaimed guitarists.

Hollywood has all but come to a complete halt in recent months. One thing that has not changed is the news of more installments of established franchises. We talk about the interesting history of Highlander, the odd decision to make another Hocus Pocus movie, and how we feel about each one.We all knew that Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey was not going to set a new standard. It was clear from the beginning that it was going to coast as far as it could with its beloved children's story adapted into a horror movie concept. If done correctly, that would be more than enough to make for a fun little horror movie. Instead, it did the bare minimum. There is no story, characters, or even a proper ending. The filmmakers decided that the idea of a Winnie the Pooh horror movie would be enough to attract attention and instead gave audiences a pointless slasher with some admittedly awesome kills. So what can other horror movies learn from it?Squealer  has a strong opening and an interesting premise. At worst, it seems like it will be an engaging story. A lack of strong characters, a story that is way more filler than killer, and a number of subplots that add nothing make it a chore to sit through, however. Do a couple of gross moments save things. Halloween is a holiday that is celebrated all over the world, with people dressing up in costumes and going trick-or-treating. It's a time when people come together to have fun and enjoy the festivities. In this opinionated roundtable, the media group shares their thoughts on what makes Halloween special to them. When it comes to Halloween movies, the group had a lot of different opinions. In Lawrenceville, "Rods, Ribs & Ribbons" is taking place at Ironshield Brewing on Saturday from 1 to 6 p.m. This event combines a car show and a fall festival with activities like a costume contest, food trucks, vendors, live entertainment, and more. It serves as a fundraiser for cancer families during the holidays and to raise cancer awareness. Attendance is free, but it costs $20 to enter a vehicle. In Lilburn on the same day from 5:30 to 9 p.m., "Monsters and a Movie on Main" offers trick-or-treating at local businesses, followed by treats and a free screening of "Hocus Pocus" at Lilburn City Park. Additionally, on Town Center Avenue, "Dinner & a BOO-vie" runs from 5 to 10 p.m., featuring trick-or-treating at merchant storefronts, games, food trucks, and a double-feature movie, "The Addams Family" and "Ghostbusters: Afterlife."
