The Knicks lost and are now down 3-1 and Gio is declaring the series over. Boomer will not declare it's over until the Pacers win 4. The Knicks two best defensive players ‘got torched last night' according to Boomer. The Knicks have been inconsistent, you never know which team is showing up.
Boomer said just win tomorrow night then go back to Indy and you never know what will happen. Just don't lose on your own court. We take your other Knicks calls as well.
Tyrese comments on his father being back at the game. The Yankees beat the Angels as Rice and Peraza homered. The Mets beat the White Sox as they scored 4 in the first. Ohtani is already at 20 home runs. Terry Bradshaw called Aaron Rodgers to the Steelers ‘a joke' and said he should stay in California and ‘chew on bark'. Tyreek Hill was asked about Travis Hunter and he said, ‘he's gonna be ass'. The Moment of The Day: Boomer was not paying attention during a Jerry update.
Larry Johnson showed no nostalgia for his famous 4-point ball when asked. The conversation shifted back to the Knicks' lack of identity and inconsistent play. Jerry's update included sound bites from Thibs and players, along with highlights from the Mets' win (Alonso homer) and the Yankees' victory (Rice homer, Rodon's strong outing). Boomer seems to believe the AL East race is "over." Terry Bradshaw reiterated his stance against Aaron Rodgers joining the Steelers for one year. The segment concluded with a humorous anecdote about Maggie Gray mistaking an impersonator for Sammy Hagar, and a caller suggesting the Knicks bring back Charles Oakley to change their "mojo."
The Knicks are down 3-1, leading Gio to declare the series over, though Boomer holds out until the Pacers win their fourth. Boomer noted the Knicks' best defensive players "got torched," highlighting the team's inconsistency. The Knicks face elimination at home, a place they haven't played well. In other sports, the Yankees beat the Angels, and the Mets defeated the White Sox. Oddly, Brandon Nimmo made a baserunning blunder. Off the field, Terry Bradshaw weighed in on Aaron Rodgers, and Tyreek Hill had a blunt take on Travis Hunter. The hour ended with Knicks fans calling in, one suggesting Thibs be fired.

The segment concluded with a humorous anecdote about Maggie Gray mistaking an impersonator for Sammy Hagar, and a caller suggesting the Knicks bring back Charles Oakley to change their "mojo." Hour 3 The Knicks' 3-1 series deficit sparked debate, with Gio suggesting the NBA "fix" games and callers decrying biased officiating, despite Tyrese Haliburton's stellar performance. Some fans, however, see the loss as part of the Knicks' natural progression. Jerry predicted a Knicks win in the next game, while the Pacers coach discussed the playoff back-and-forth. In baseball, the Mets defeated the White Sox, marked by a confusing baserunning play from Brandon Nimmo, and the Yankees held off the Angels despite a shaky ninth inning from Devin Williams. The hour concluded with a discussion about dog dancing. Hour 4 Frustrated Knicks fans called in after the team's loss in Indiana, with one expressing dislike for Karl-Anthony Towns and another questioning why the series is being discussed as if it's over. Jerry's update included Pat McAfee yelling at celebrities and Brandon Tierney's social media comment that the Pacers are simply "better." In baseball, the Yankees beat the Angels with homers from Rice and Peraza, while the Mets scored four in the first against the White Sox. Ohtani already has 20 home runs. Terry Bradshaw called the idea of Aaron Rodgers joining the Steelers "a joke," suggesting he "chew on bark" in California. Tyreek Hill bluntly dismissed Travis Hunter as "gonna be ass." The "Moment of The Day" featured Boomer not paying attention during an update. The hour concluded with the sentiment that Tyrese Haliburton's dominant performance sealed the Knicks' fate, noting the only playoff game where the Knicks felt in control was Game 6 against Boston.
One of our sales guys caught up with Larry Johnson at a watch party last night and he asked him if he has the 4-point ball. Larry said that Boomer has it (he does not). Larry doesn't seem to have any nostalgia for the actual ball. He's similar to Boomer in that way.
Jerry starts with in-game sounds of Thibs coaching and post-game sound from the players. The Mets beat the White Sox and we heard Howie Rose on the call as Alonso homered. Jared Young homered and had a double. Ben Rice homered in the Yankees win against the Angels. Rodon struck out 10 and walked none. Boomer seems to be declaring the A.L. East ‘over'. Terry Bradshaw was on the radio to talk about Aaron Rodgers. He doesn't want him with the Steelers for one year.

Hour 1 The Knicks took Game 3 on Sunday, with Brunson and Hart leading the charge. They look to continue their road winning streak tonight in Indiana, where Tyrese Haliburton's dad will be in attendance. Jerry provided an update, noting Charles Barkley had counted the Knicks out when they were down 13. In baseball, the Yankees defeated the Angels, and the Mets beat the White Sox on a Francisco Lindor sac fly. Gio avoided the norovirus, unlike his daughter, and Stephen Waldron is out due to an appendectomy. Finally, Pablo Torre rented the Airbnb where the Bill Belichick Ring camera footage was taken. Hour 2 Tonight is Game 4 for the Knicks and Pacers and calls came in about people surprisingly wanting the Knicks coach fired, despite their run to the Eastern Conference Finals. Jerry provided an update with OG Anunoby on the Knicks' Game 3 win, and Kevin Harlan's funny "I'm wet, I'm dirty" comment from Game 2. Bill Simmons had Jon Stewart on his podcast where they talked about WFAN, Mike & The Maddog, and "two bald guys." The Yankees beat the Angels thanks to an Anthony Volpe bases-clearing double, making them 13 games over .500, and the Mets won on a Francisco Lindor sac fly, with Gary Cohen on the call. There were also furries in the crowd. Finally they discussed the missing Larry Johnson 4-point ball and more about the furries. Hour 3 Tonight's Knicks-Pacers Game 4 is being hyped as another "biggest game in 25 years." A caller who caught Boomer's football from Friday weighed in, and questions arose about how "furries" got into Citi Field. Jerry's update covered the Knicks-Pacers preview and the Thunder's 3-1 series lead over the T-Wolves. The Yankees beat the Angels again, with Anthony Volpe hitting a 3-run double, as heard on Dave Sims's call. Jerry also shared audio from an Australian radio show about short-lived marriages. The Mets secured their third straight win. A caller even wondered if Phil Simms is a fox furry. The hour concluded with talk of the "Kickoff To Summer" with Chris Lane and more anticipation for the Knicks game. Hour 4 The Jets reportedly wanted to keep the "tush push," potentially for Justin Fields. Gio's contacts found the Brett Favre documentary disappointing, and he wondered about the vanished NJ drones. The conversation then shifted to numerous calls about the Knicks-Pacers game. Jerry's final update included Coach Thibs discussing the Knicks' Sunday comeback. A young fan subtly asked Aaron Rodgers about playing for the Bears, while Joe Burrow preferred an international game over more Baltimore primetime matchups. The Yankees beat the Angels with a Volpe bases-clearing double, and the Mets won against the White Sox on a Lindor sac fly. The "Moment of The Day" involved furry talk with Eddie and Phil Simms. The show concluded with discussions about the high-rated, commercial-heavy Indy 500 and the lengthy challenge reviews in NBA playoff games.

Every game is the ‘biggest game the Knicks have played in 25 years' and that continues tonight. We got a call from the guy who caught the football Boomer threw into the crowd on Friday. A caller wonders how the furries got into Citi Field when he was hassled years ago for having ‘RA Dickey' on his bare chest. We took calls from people who had experiences with furries.
As Christians, we want to be formed by wisdom. Biblically, we know that wisdom comes with age, but we live in a culture obsessed with youth rather than one formed by gospel truth. I'm of the age that I have friends turning both 30 and 40, and for so many women, those milestones are greeted with grief.Creams and fillers to disguise our age are in our social media feeds constantly. When you open the comment sections on so many things, the term “Okay, Boomer” has revealed how far we've moved culturally from respect of elders to derision of them. Most of us know Jen from her Bible studies, but recently she wrote an article for Christianity Today "At My Mother's Deathbed, I Discovered the Symmetry of a Long Life" about what it was like caring for her mother as she aged and eventually passed. I would love for us to take a look together at what a “Legacy of Faith” looks like when caring for elderly parents. What was it like moving into the stage of life caring for your parents? You've talked about the arc of life and the way it reflects Biblical literature. Can you tell us about that? How has watching your parents and older saints helped give you a path to exit a current season with grace and submission to the passing of time?Being in midlife, you said you noticed that you repeat so many of the same life experiences, but level up the quality in how you handle them… Can you tell us about that? How have you noticed the gaining of wisdom and shift in the internal life as we age? What did you learn about cherishing all of your days in this process? What does it look like to find value in older women, and not just to see them as having equal value, but rather increasing value? You can find Jen Wilkin's latest Bible study on "Revelation" here. What do honey bee genetics mean for the everyday beekeeper—and how do researchers untangle traits like foraging behavior, hygienic tendencies, and even pollen hoarding? In this episode, Jeff and Becky sit down with Dr. Rob Page, one of the world's leading experts in honey bee genetics and author of the newly updated Honey Bee Genetics and The Art of the Bee. Rob shares stories from his early influences, including his time with Harry Laidlaw and the legacy of Walter Rothenbuhler, and how his fascination with bee behavior grew into a groundbreaking career in genetic research. They also discuss Rob's engaging new textbook, why he pivoted away from queen rearing content, and the importance of mentorship and collaboration in science. For beekeepers interested in breeding better bees, Rob emphasizes the power of careful observation, good recordkeeping, and realistic expectations. Listeners will also hear about Rob's video lecture series based on his book The Art of the Bee, created to make bee biology and genetics accessible to students and enthusiasts alike. Whether you're raising local queens or just curious about what makes a colony tick, this conversation is a rare chance to learn from a pioneer whose research continues to shape modern beekeeping. In this episode of Financial Safari, Coach Pete and the team tackle the outdated financial advice still haunting retirement plans today, from misguided savings habits to overhyped homeownership. They break down why relying on old-school strategies—like blind trust in employer loyalty or generic income rules—can sabotage your future, and they back it up with real-world stories, including historical blunders from none other than Sir Isaac Newton. Along the way, they expose some shockingly bad behavior by so-called “experts,” making the case for second opinions, smart planning, and staying flexible in a fast-changing financial world!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

If you're lucky enough to have witnessed the landing of Apollo 11 on July 20, 1969, you know what a momentous occasion that was. If you're younger than a Boomer, you've read and heard about that amazing day, but it might not have the impact it did for those who witnessed it. Bob Slater, M.D., is out to change that with his campaign to make July 20 a national holiday called "Lunar Landing Day," and we think it's a fine idea--and so do the moonwalkers, Mission Control folks, and lots of others. It'll be good for STEM, good for national pride, and just good all around. Join us to learn more and about how you can help make this great idea a reality! Headlines Next Starship Launch Scheduled: SpaceX aims for its third Starship launch of the year, Flight 9, no earlier than May 27th, 7:30 PM Eastern. This follows previous failures, with hopes for a successful mission. SpaceX Flight 9 Gets FAA Approval, with Caveats: The FAA approved Starship Flight 9 after SpaceX's Flight 8 failure assessment. A changed trajectory was requested for safety. The goal is to recreate earlier trajectories for a soft landing in the Indian Ocean and will be the first full reflight of the Super Heavy booster. China's Experimental Fuel Dump: Chinese company Landscape launched a methane-fueled rocket that performed an experimental fuel dump at 155 miles, creating a visible ribbon of reflective crystals. Discussion arose on its necessity, accidental nature, or deliberate intent, and its resemblance to 1950s US/Russian plans to nuke the moon as a political statement. U.S. Space Force General Michael Gutzlian will oversee the three-year development. AI Processing Center in Abu Dhabi: OpenAI plans a new AI processing center in Abu Dhabi, requiring immense power (equivalent to five nuclear plants), raising concerns about AI's resource consumption. Main Topic - The Landing Day Initiative Dr. Robert Slater, M.D., joins the podcast to discuss his Lunar Landing Day Initiative. Dr. Slater's Path to Space Passion: Slater's passion for space began at age six, watching the moon landing, an event his parents stressed as historical. The Lunar Landing Day Initiative: Inspired by the lack of public recall about July 20, 1969, Slater started the initiative to celebrate the moon landing as a unifying, historic American achievement. Lunar Landing Day Initiative Federal Holiday Goal: The ultimate goal is to make July 20th a federal holiday with a paid day off for federal employees, encouraging states and companies to follow. Here's the latest Not A Podcast, Rational Boomer Podcast. A compilation of the days TTs for 05/22/2025. Let's get into it.
A caller wants the players to get to go home right after a loss and speak to the media the next day instead. We played Marv Albert interviewing Boomer after his Super Bowl loss.
Last night Tyrese Haliburton did the choke sign to the Knicks which could be a classic ‘touch the money' spot from a player in the series. NYC has changed the names of a few streets and intersections to make them Knicks player's names instead. Boomer needs to take a pic at ‘Precious Achiuwa Place'. Gio still loves the Knicks in this series.
Tyrese Haliburton's "choke" gesture toward the Knicks in Game 1 could become a defining moment of the series. In a show of local team spirit, NYC has even renamed some streets and intersections after Knicks players, prompting Boomer to quip about taking a picture at "Precious Achiuwa Place'. Jerry's update included Kevin Harlan's call of the Pacers' overtime comeback win. Tommy Lugauer offered "3 things to know" about the loss, which Ben Stiller notably "agreed" with in a quote tweet. In other sports, Jasson Dominguez hit a walk-off home run for the Yankees (with Dave Sims on the call), and Colts owner Jim Irsay passed away at 65. NFL news included the "Tush Push" not being banned, described by Jeffrey Lurie as a "wet dream," and Aaron Glenn's early impressions of Justin Fields in camp. The segment ended with a discussion about one of Boomer's friends who suspected he had a kidney stone.
We were encouraged by the Knicks' offensive performance despite their loss. Gio received an old Washington Post article from 1989 where Michael Wilbon wrote about Boomer. A caller mistakenly identified Fat Joe at the game, but Gio's research revealed it was actually one of CC Sabathia's agents. A caller suggested players should go home after a loss and speak to the media the next day. The show then featured a clip of Marv Albert interviewing Boomer after his Super Bowl loss. Jerry's update included Pacers radio audio of Haliburton's shot that they initially thought was a game-winner. In other sports, Jasson Dominguez hit a walk-off home run for the Yankees against the Rangers, and the Mets beat the Red Sox with a Francisco Lindor home run. Jerry also played his signature "What the hell is that sound?" segment.
Hour 1 The Knicks lost Game 1 to the Pacers in overtime after blowing a significant fourth-quarter lead. Tyrese Haliburton made a "choke" gesture after tying the game in regulation, echoing Reggie Miller's past antics. Despite the loss, Gio remains confident in the Knicks, believing they will dominate Game 2, especially recalling their past series win against the Pacers after Miller's similar gesture. In other sports news, the Yankees secured a walk-off win against the Rangers with a home run from Jasson Dominguez, and the Mets defeated the Red Sox, thanks to Brett Baty's three RBIs. The show concluded with Gio reiterating his faith in the Knicks, addressing calls from concerned fans. Hour 2 We were encouraged by the Knicks' offensive performance despite their loss.
