Barry Morphew is heading to trial in October for the murder of his wife, Suzanne Morphew — the second time he's been charged. The first case fell apart due to prosecutorial misconduct so severe the DA was disbarred. What Barry did between the two prosecutions tells a story with two very different readings. He moved to Arizona. Used fake names. Lived at a trailer park in Cave Creek under aliases that kept his identity compartmentalized — Bruce at one place, Lee at another. A woman recognized him at a bar and called him by name. He denied it. At the time, Suzanne's remains had already been found in a shallow grave and an autopsy had identified a restricted wildlife tranquilizer in her bone marrow. Prosecutors would later allege Barry was the only civilian in the area with access to it.After the grand jury re-indicted him in June 2025 and he pleaded not guilty a second time, Barry allegedly signed paperwork authorizing the release and cremation of Suzanne's remains — the prosecution's most important physical evidence. Law enforcement found out and seized the remains one day before cremation was scheduled. Court documents show Barry's signature on the authorization forms. Is this the behavior of an innocent man? Or something else entirely? The audience decides.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? What if the key to unlocking your team's potential wasn't hiring better people, but simply removing the friction slowing them down? Shelton Mercer III joins Sean to share how a shift from a 60-day process to a 60-minute one completely reframed how he thinks about the people around him and what they're truly capable of. You'll hear Shelton break down why power is less about authority and more about influence, how bringing together leaders from government, capital markets, and philanthropy in the same room creates a parity that cuts through political gridlock, and why framing collaboration around shared geography rather than competing agendas is what actually moves things forward. If you've ever wondered whether the systems your team works within are the real bottleneck, this conversation will make you think twice about where you're looking for solutions.──────────────────────────────────────────────────────

And you're washing it all down with water that's sitting in plastic that's been baking on a truck in 100 degree heat for three weeks.Jon Bier sits down with Clara Sieg — co-founder of Loonen and former venture investor — for a conversation about the most overlooked input in the entire wellness conversation. Water. The category that built its entire identity on pictures of waterfalls and asked consumers to just trust them. Clara got pregnant, started paying attention, and found out that no natural source in the US she tested was entirely free of contaminants. So she built something that paired spring sourcing with stainless steel processing, physical membrane filtration, and NSF certification — and put it in glass. Every time. This isn't fear mongering. Lauren and Eric are back from another Epic Universe visit, and this time Helios Grand Hotel may have changed the whole conversation. They break down whether one day is enough at Epic, how early entry helped them knock out major attractions before lunch, and why Battle at the Ministry should probably be your first stop. Then they compare Universal attractions to Disney favorites to help Disney fans figure out what belongs on their must-do list. HIGHLIGHTS Lauren and Eric test whether one day is enough at Epic Universe after three separate visits. Helios Grand Hotel early entry proves to be a major advantage for getting to Battle at the Ministry. Their morning strategy includes Hiccup's Wing Gliders, Monsters Unchained, Stardust Racers, and more before lunch. Lauren shares online feedback from Epic Universe guests debating one day, two days, Express Pass, and resort stays. Disney fans get Universal ride comparisons, including Hiccup's Wing Gliders and Slinky Dog Dash. Battle at the Ministry gets compared to Rise of the Resistance, especially for its jaw-dropping queue. Monsters Unchained, Donkey Kong Mine-Cart Madness, Yoshi's Adventure, and The Untrainable Dragon all get matched with Disney-style reference points. Eric and Lauren each pick the Universal experience they think Disney fans should try first. For this episode's full show notes, click here. In this episode of the Story Engine Podcast, I sit down with Carolee Moore, an expert storyteller who helps corporate leaders and subject matter experts find their voice, get on the right podcasts, and turn their visibility into real business growth. What stood out to me most is how Carolee doesn't just focus on booking interviews—she helps people reconnect with their authentic voice after years of operating inside corporate expectations. We explore how storytelling, when done right, becomes the bridge between deep expertise and real influence. Carolee shares her journey from growing up in Jamaica surrounded by storytelling, to navigating corporate America, to building (and walking away from) a successful marketing agency that no longer aligned with her. We also dive into how podcast guesting can fast-track credibility in B2B spaces, why so many experts struggle with visibility despite their experience, and how finding your voice can literally "change the vote" in the rooms that matter most. If you've ever felt unseen, under-recognized, or stuck playing small—this conversation will show you a new path forward. 00:49 – From Jamaica to the U.S.: The Roots of a Storyteller 02:09 – Corporate Life, Structure, and Suppressed Creativity 03:30 – Building (and Closing) a Multi-Six-Figure Agency 04:24 – The Pivot: From Marketing to Podcast Guesting 05:31 – The Types of Experts She Works With 07:41 – Why Podcasting Works for High-Level Experts 09:00 – Turning Stories Into Credibility and Sales 11:14 – The Hidden Struggles of High-Achieving Experts 12:46 – Watching Less Experienced People Win (and Why It Hurts) 14:08 – The Real Transformation: Finding Your Authentic Voice 16:46 – Integrating Visibility With Sales and Business Strategy 17:23 – The Boardroom Moment That Changed Everything 19:00 – Speaking Up and Changing the Vote 20:58 – Learning to Own Your Voice 21:39 – Underpricing and Positioning Lessons as an Agency Owner 22:46 – A Major Win: Earning a Year's Salary in One Day 23:30 – Learning to Celebrate and Step Away 24:44 – The Story Reflection: From Silence to Impact
#136Josh and Mike sit down with Ming-Tai Huh, restaurateur, MIT graduate, former Toast and Square executive, and co-founder of Cambridge Street Hospitality Group. Ming shares the unlikely path that took him from management consulting and technology into the restaurant industry, beginning with a spontaneous decision to open a restaurant after becoming deeply involved in his local Cambridge community. He reflects on his early days at Toast, helping to build foundational products such as online ordering, loyalty, APIs, and partnerships, and explains how his experience as both an operator and a technologist shaped the way he thinks about restaurant software. The conversation dives into the future of restaurant technology, AI, SaaS, restaurant operations, and why supply chain management remains one of the industry's biggest unsolved problems. Ming discusses the rise of AI agents, the growing gap between experienced operators and first-time restaurateurs, the realities behind scaling restaurant software, and why he believes marketing attribution and ROI measurement remain major opportunities for innovation. Along the way, he shares stories about getting married inside an unfinished restaurant, building Puritan & Company from scratch, and what operators can learn from both the restaurant and technology worlds.Links and resources

The recent SpaceX IPO created 4,400 new millionaires. However, the most powerful wealth lessons do not come from the executives. They come from employees like Juan, a welder who prioritized company equity over comfort and consistently accumulated shares through near-bankruptcies and public doubt. In this episode, we break down five critical wealth-building principles derived from the SpaceX launch. We explore why betting on the operator matters more than the product, the compound effect of patience, and how everyday investors can apply these strategies to their own real estate, stock, and crypto portfolios.Key Topics DiscussedThe 2.1 trillion dollar valuation of the SpaceX IPOHow employee stock options created 4,400 new millionairesPrioritizing long-term equity over short-term salary comfortBetting on visionary operators like Elon Musk during difficult timesThe compound effect of consistent, boring investment activitiesPost-IPO stock price pullbacks and finding optimal entry pointsGenerating passive income through the Imagos Income FundKey TakeawaysTake equity over comfort whenever possible. Choosing ownership over a marginally larger paycheck is often the most significant financial decision an investor can make.Bet on the operator, not just the product. A visionary leader with a relentless track record of execution provides an asymmetric risk advantage, even when the underlying product faces massive hurdles.Consistency beats market timing. Accumulating assets through regular, disciplined investments often outperforms the risky strategy of trying to perfectly buy the dip.You do not need to be the founder to build incredible wealth. Strategic supporting roles within the right company or team can generate life-changing financial returns.Patience is the most aggressive wealth strategy. Holding assets through market volatility and near-failures is required to fully harness the power of the compound effect.Connect & Take Action:Wealth Intelligence Brief: Text "WIB" to 844-447-1555 to get Matty's free macro data, real estate intel, and crypto signals delivered to your inbox 3 times a week.Imagos Income Fund: Text "INCOME" or "DEALS" to 844-447-1555 to learn more about Matty A's private debt fund targeting 10% fixed returns paid out monthly.

People are looking for healing in places they didn't used to look. Acupuncture, sound baths, energy work — once dismissed as fringe, are now very much moving into the mainstream. That shift shows up in the numbers. Wellness is a trillion dollar industry in the U.S. Americans spend more than $6,000 per person each year on it. That's the broader current carrying a lot of what used to be considered alternative medicine into wider use. It’s also taken on a much wider meaning. My guest Peter Bulliard works where physical and mental wellness collide. He’s a healer, more specifically, he calls himself a master shaman. Peter Bulliard was born in St. Martinville. He got a degree in art and later nursing, but spent years working as a touring musician, primarily as a drummer, before either of those careers took hold. A brain tumor diagnosis in 1998 changed his trajectory. He began studying healing practices, eventually training with shamans and spiritual teachers across the globe, including a stint at The Four Winds Shamanic School, before transitioning into full-time spiritual and healing work. His services include healing sessions, master classes and workshops, property cleansing, personalized mentoring, energy training, death doula services and spiritual guidance. He's also the author of the book Heal Anxiety in One Day. That search for the fabric of reality isn't just happening in wellness. It's happening in our closets, too — a pushback against fast fashion, mass production, and clothes that fall apart in a year. People are turning to the essential fabric of American style: Denim. Dark indigo washes and vintage-inspired silhouettes are back in style. Selvedge mills produce limited runs and the process can produce one-of-a-kind pieces. The fabric has become a natural fit for boutique brands looking to offer exclusivity their bigger competitors can't. If you’re in Lafayette and want a unique show piece, pop by Son of a Texan in Downtown Lafayette, owned by my guest, Sky King. Sky moved often as a kid — rural Kentucky, Texas, Louisiana — and spent much of his adolescence at a remote church camp, which he says shaped his comfort with rural, small-community life. After high school, he skipped college and went straight into restaurant and food service work, which occupied much of his early adult life. It was his grandfather who first taught him to iron and shine his shoes, planting an early interest in clothing and textiles. After his father died about six years ago, Sky began reassessing his direction — and found his way, alongside his wife Katrena, who'd been taught to sew and repair clothes by her own grandmother, toward a business built around longevity and repairability. Son of a Texan opened in 2025. They specialize in selvedge denim and durable, small-batch goods from independent makers — clothing meant to be worn for years, repaired, and passed down. It’s good for business that people are always wanting more. Sometimes the trick is to convince them to slow down and maybe invest in something deeper and more durable, like spiritual balance or a nice pair of jeans. He lived the accumulation side of the equation long enough to know exactly what it costs.Net worth and self-worth are not the same thing, and most men find that out too late. Cal breaks down the season of unlearning, what his healing work with Kyle Coursey cracked open, why old patterns resurface, and what open-mindedness really requires. You'll learn:[0:00] Introduction[7:56] Why none of Cal's success came to save him when it counted[18:28] How a plant medicine glimpse fades without integration, and why habits snap back[24:07] Net worth as a replacement for self-worth, and the 30-year accumulation trap[33:39] Why $100 million three years ago would've landed him in the same pickle[42:34] The currency of relationships and spotting transactional energy in the room[1:17:59] Selling the float tank, unfollowing 1,500 people, and the lightness of purging[1:27:55] Why open-mindedness means letting old information out, not just new in[1:44:21] Brandy Gilmore, the cops, and discovering a belief he didn't know was closed[1:56:29] Resume virtues vs. eulogy virtues and the dark night that leads to liberation[2:02:40] Boyd Varty, Adyashanti, and Ram Dass as the teachers who shaped himResources Mentioned:Ian Carroll on America's Deadliest Mass Shooting and Unanswered Questions They Don't Want You to Ask | YouTubeThe Great Unlearn 199. In this powerful continuation of the Gate of Repentance (Shaar HaTeshuvah), Rabbi Aryeh Wolbe explains why delaying repentance is one of the greatest spiritual mistakes a person can make. Many people convince themselves that they will focus on spiritual growth "later"—after accumulating wealth, after reaching retirement, or after achieving their personal goals. Yet the Orchot Tzaddikim teaches that human desire is never fully satisfied. The person who seeks one hundred wants two hundred; the person who acquires two hundred wants four hundred. If repentance is postponed until after worldly ambitions are fulfilled, that day may never arrive. True growth begins when a person decides to act now rather than waiting for perfect circumstances.A central theme of the episode is the brevity of life and the illusion that we have unlimited time. Rabbi Wolbe vividly illustrates how quickly life passes and reminds listeners that none of us knows how much time we have. The work of spiritual growth is extensive, while our days are limited. Teshuvah is not merely regret—it is a moment of profound clarity when a person suddenly realizes that Hashem has been present all along, seeing every action, hearing every word, and knowing every intention. Like students shocked to discover that the principal has been standing in the back of the classroom the entire time, we awaken during the High Holiday season to the reality of Divine awareness and accountability. The episode also introduces the practical process of repentance. Before meaningful change can occur, a person must honestly acknowledge their mistakes rather than minimizing or rationalizing them. Rabbi Wolbe emphasizes that repentance is not reserved only for dramatic sins. Everyday actions—speech, dishonesty, neglecting mitzvos, hurting another person's feelings, or violating rabbinic safeguards—also require reflection and correction. Genuine teshuvah begins with self-awareness, personal responsibility, and the courage to recognize where improvement is needed. Through this process, every person can reconnect with Hashem and begin anew._____________This Podcast Series is Generously Underwritten by Peter & Becky BotvinRecorded at TORCH Centre in the Levin Family Studios (B) to a live audience on September 8, 2025, in Houston, Texas.Released as Podcast on June 9, 2026_____________This series on Orchos Tzadikim/Ways of the Righteous is produced in partnership with Hachzek.Join the revolution of daily Mussar study at hachzek.com.We are using the Treasure of Life edition of the Orchos Tzadikkim (Published by Feldheim)_____________Listen, Subscribe & Share: Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/jewish-inspiration-podcast-rabbi-aryeh-wolbe/id1476610783Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/4r0KfjMzmCNQbiNaZBCSU7) to stay inspired! Megan shares the beautiful story of her first child's birth—a "private birth" with only her husband and their happily snoring dog present in their home. Although it was one of the most physically intense experiences of her life, Megan was left in awe of how clear and calm she remained throughout the process, especially as someone with a history of anxiety. We wrap up the conversation with a vulnerable discussion about the nitty-gritty physical surprises of postpartum recovery, and why it's all part of the process and will heal with time. Be sure to check out our Instagram page this week for a screenshot of Megan's detailed birth support checklist for her husband, which she partly credits for the ease of her experience. You'll also find a precious childhood photo of Megan, a reminder that she was always meant to be a mother. Megan wanted to share the Innate Traditions postpartum care practitioner directory, where she found her truly life changing support for the few weeks following the birth of her son. The woman she hired brought her nourishing food, herbs, offered bodywork, and ceremony to honor and hold her in such a sacred time. This amazing woman took care of her, so Megan could take care of her baby. She believes every woman deserves this type of care. Hi friend, welcome to the podcast, my name is Arlina, I've been sober for 32 years, and it's my life's mission to carry a message of hope for recovery. Here's a question we all need to consider, No matter where you are in your recovery journey: What if the survival skills that you develop in childhood - the performing, the achieving, and the self-abandonment for the sake of appeasing others- are the exact habits quietly keeping you feeling stuck in adulthood? This actually happens to everybody in one form or another, and we're going to talk about how to break some of those patterns. Today I sit down with Katie Hingle, founder and CEO of Lavish, and a woman in long term recovery to talk about how she is working through her own survival patterns. I've known Katie for decades, and always admired her, not just because she's so accomplished as an executive at Adobe, and now the CEO at her own company, but because she is a woman of faith, service and integrity. Katie is one of those shining examples of someone who has done real work - not just recovery from alcohol, but the untreated perfectionism, people-pleasing, and codependence underneath it. But before we jump in, I just want to share with you that because June marks 10 years of the One Day at a Time podcast, I am going to be doing something a little different In the upcoming weeks. I am going to do a series of episodes focused on early recovery. This will be for those who are simply wanting to take a break from alcohol, those who are sober curious and don't want to go to AA, or those coming back after a period of drinking. I want you to know that no matter where you are in your journey, I am here to support you with a safe space for coming to your own conclusions. In today's episode, you'll learn: • How to recognize when your survival mechanisms have become your biggest liability • Why resentment is the root of the devolving process in recovery and relationships • The concept of collateral growth - and why doing your own work changes everyone around you And • How recovery principles translate directly into building a business and showing up in relationships So without further delay, please enjoy this episode with Katie. This is what it looks like to create a new category from scratch and refuse to stop.Jon Bier sits down with Michael Brandt — Stanford CS grad, 2:35 marathoner, and co-founder and CEO of Ketone-IQ — for one of the most genuinely nerdy, genuinely exciting conversations about building a brand that didn't exist before. Jon helped launch Ketone-IQ early on and didn't invest. He'll tell you that himself. This is the conversation where he probably fully processes that decision.Ketones aren't a trend. Can you reset your life in just one session? The work I'd done for 30 years hit a ceiling I didn't know existed until Kyle's hands found it. Kyle Coursey is the creator of THE RESET, and he works with people who've already done the therapy, the medicine, and the modalities… but still feel something is untouched underneath. What happened in our session changed how I think about healing. Twelve plus hours, no timer, no exit. Talk first, then bodywork, then mushrooms, then breath, then a relationship with pain I'd spent my whole life running from.I came out of it realizing how much subpar living I'd tolerated, how little nurturing I'd actually received, and how much energy I was burning to keep old stories intact. We get into why the body holds what the mind can't reach, and what it means to receive. If you've been circling the same patterns for years, this one is worth your full attention. You'll learn:[0:00] Introduction[11:20] When the mushrooms work through someone else's hands instead of your own body[16:27] Why touch bypasses the intellect and reaches places talk therapy never can[34:09] The 12 to 20-hour session format and why time constructs sabotage real healing[46:54] How double-clicking on the irrelevant details reveals what actually runs your life[1:06:22] Inhabiting the client: the part of the process Kyle rarely talks about[1:13:06] Why receiving feels so threatening and what happens when you finally let it in[1:51:08] Breath, vocalization, and visualization as the missing trinity in healing work[2:16:13] Pain as a doorway: using exposure to backdoor into subconscious belief systems[2:38:29] Why CEOs and high performers are finding more ROI here than in any biohackResources Mentioned:Shipibo People | WikipediaRead: A Horse Named Lonesome: Tales and Teachings to Reclaim Connection, Transcend Separation, and Discover the Divine Within by Luke Storey | BookIboga | WikipediaCymatics | WikipediaThe Great Unlearn 199. In this episode, I'm sharing a personal update after the passing of my dad.About a year ago, my dad was diagnosed with ALS. A little over a week ago, he passed away peacefully, surrounded by people he loved. While I haven't spoken publicly about his diagnosis before now, I felt it was important to share where I've been, why things have been quieter lately, and some of the lessons I've been reflecting on during this difficult time.I talk about grief, how it comes and goes in unexpected waves, and what it was like to see just how many lives my dad impacted throughout his lifetime. One of the most meaningful moments from his service was realizing how many people showed up to honor him and the difference he made in their lives.I also share why ALS awareness and research have become even more important to me moving forward, and how I hope to use my platform to help bring more attention to this devastating disease. This is a shorter episode, but I wanted to personally check in, say thank you for your support, and let you know that more conversations are on the way.If you'd like to support ALS research and help fund treatments and a cure, you can donate here:https://www.als.org/donate

Other feature films David has co-written include Stepping Out, Purple Haze, and The Flintstones Movie. As a Stanford-educated psychotherapist, David's treated and coached aspiring writers, many of whom have gone on to sell their own feature films and TV shows.David and his wife Rogena, who is also a writer and editor, recently collaborated on their excellent book, How to Be a Rockstar Screenwriter, which contains some of the best advice I've read on the mindset that ambitious screen and TV writers need to succeed. Unlike most books on screenwriting, How to Be a Rockstar Screenwriter is filled with solid advice for those dealing with the challenging psychological issues facing writers who wish to work in Hollywood, as well as for those who are already successful screenwriters. I urge anyone hoping to make it as a professional writer in Hollywood to check out this very wise book. For the record, David and I have known one another for many decades, connected by our mutual friend, the late, great Steve Sustarsic. David and Steve were a well-known, highly successful sit-com writing team. They wrote and produced hundreds of TV scripts together.
