Kurt Yue was born in Beijing, China and moved to the United States with his parents when he was four years old. He spent his formative years moving around the country from Iowa to Arizona to Ohio. Unlike many actors, Kurt never dreamed of acting when he was growing up. He never participated in drama club in high school nor did he take any theater classes in college. In fact, before the age of 27, his only acting experience was a fourth grade play (in which he played a horse). Four years after graduating college with a degree in computer science and engineering, Kurt was doing business consulting as a software developer in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the "typical young professional" working nine-to-five on weekdays and hitting the bars with friends on weekends. One Saturday night, after a night of celebrating a high school buddy's return from a tour of duty in the army, Kurt and his friends were walking back to their cars when he noticed an interesting storefront. It was the Houde School of Acting - the premier acting school in Cleveland, Ohio. Since he was looking for something to do after work at the time, this really piqued his interest. Kurt decided to jot down the contact info and, the following week, he walked into his first acting class ever. With speaking roles in Fox's The Gifted, Sony's Venom andMarvel's Black Widow, Yue has appeared in all 3 Marvel Universes. Kurt is also known for his roles in Cobra Kai, The Haunting of Hill House, Dynasty, Young Rock, Preacher, Will Trent, Man in Full, Wolf Pack and Ozark. Had the most disgusting drink ever from Dutch Bros... stay away from the drink I mention. Young Rock came to an end the day that I recorded last week's episode and I'm a little sad about it lol. Gotta get that Grove back! Give it a listen, it will get suck in your head. On and off again coffee, I'm just rolling with it. I never said I was going to come off coffee forever. I said I had phases I go through and apparently, it lasted a week. Farmers Markets will continue to be in weekend plans as weather gets better. Annual reviews always make me nervous, even though I have nothing to worry about, usually. The only thing I've been told I've needed to work on is learning more lol Yup, I don't know enough. My international pen pal isn't ignoring me, just takes forever to get to each other when we send snail mail. I'm not used to having to wait so long for a letter. Throne of Glass series is good, but I have some complaints. Not sure if I like the main character. We'll see how things progress. I'm sure I'll change my mind. Weening myself off coffee. I just don't like it as much and how it makes me feel when drinking it or not drinking it. Although maybe I could drink decaf since I do like the flavor when coffee is made good but don't like the shakes it gives me. Sun is out and that means the children are out, best time of the year! Young Rock (the show) has me feeling a certain way and most of it is annoyance.

They attend the wedding of Zoë's sister, Grace (Poppy Liu), to an eccentric Silicon Valley businessman named Edgar (Zach Woods). When Edgar and his pet lizard Roxana are found dead the following morning, Aniq calls Detective Danner (Tiffany Haddish) for help. Danner, who has left the LAPD to write a book about the murder she solved in Season One, agrees to take the case before the local police get involved. Once the interrogations begin, it's clear that everyone had a motive to send the groom to his grave. Nick Olah O.G. Our next guest has scored everything from comic book adaptations to award-winning documentaries. He is a Filipino-American composer who has scored some of the most exciting projects of the last few years. His dark synth and guitar-driven work was heard on the Russo Brothers' adaptation of the acclaimed comic 'Deadly Class'. And his emotional and poignant music was featured in the powerful Peabody Award-winning docu-series 'Surviving R. Kelly'. For the latter, he also took home an ASCAP 2020 Screen Award.Born to Filipinx immigrants, his family taught him music at a young age. His curiosity would lead him to play in bands and to study film scoring at USC's prestigious Scoring For Motion Pictures and Television program. He would go on to be mentored by and collaborate with Oscar-winning composer Ludwig Goransson (Black Panther) and Theodore Shapiro (Bombshell). With the former, he co-composed the A24 film starring Chance The Rapper, 'SLICE'. He recently scored the Adele Lim directed Joy Ride and I'm so excited to talk with him on the podcast.
