The British Sail GP team says it is unfazed by it's status as defending champions as they head in to the 2026 season. Their driver, Dylan Fletcher, is an Olympic gold medallist, winning in Tokyo in the 49er class alongside Stuart Bithe, who joins Fletcher in the Emirates Great Britain Sail GP team. He told Jason Pine that the win at the season's opener in Perth is positive, but he knows there are some teams yet to show their strength. Olympic Gold MedalistThe world of sports I find fascinating to watch! Years of discipline, conditioning, travel, competitions, etc. all go into building a winning athlete & team. Their stories behind the World Championships, Team M.V.P.'s & Gold are even more so. Can an orphan from an abusive childhood, shuffled from foster home to home, even living on the streets, low self-esteem go on to be a winner in life? It starts with the stories about you have in your mind. You have to see it, speak it, mentor with & surround yourself & your environment to condition YOU for victory! What an eye opener to hear about life after the games from one of my friends  Olympic Gold Medalist Dana Hee. She is grateful to God for her victories. Dana may be a familiar face, not only from winning the "Gold" bunot only from winning the "Gold" but from television & movies like Mortal Combat, Charlie's Angels, Lethal Weapon & many more.  Dana Lynn Hee is an Olympic Gold Medalist and is currently a Hollywood film and television actress, as well as one of an award winning stuntwomen in the entertainment industry. . She has also doubled for Hollywood's top actresses': Nicole Kidman, Uma Thurman, Gwynneth Paltrow, Renee Russo, and Jennifer Garner. She also a noted writer, lecturer and television color commentator, and has an extensive background as a speaker to Fortune 500 companies. It's an understatement to say that Dana's childhood was hard. The child of divorced, alcoholic parents, she endured abuse, abandonment, and despair. The years of being passed back and forth between an orphanage, suicidal family members, halfway houses, a commune, government shelter, and finally a foster home, took their tole. Dana grew up to be a young woman with little self-esteem or self-confidence, and a huge fear of failure. To her, nothing seemed possible. It was as if the two words, 'I can't' were programmed into her mind, and she struggled to escape a lifelong habit of running from her fears. Dana looked within herself for strength and determined to make a change. Armed with an ounce of courage, and a glimpse of hope, she set out to make a dream of hers come true. Through the agonizing, against-the-odds process of this struggle, she made the transformation from a shy, under-achieving, below-average young woman to an Olympic Gold Medalist with a new sense of self-esteem, and, finally, some hope for the future. Her story of how this happened - and the lessons you can take from it - are enough to inspire the most discouraged soul. But Dana didn't stop there. She started accepting speaking engagements, then graduated to keynote speeches. She shifted from martial arts, to modeling, and then acting, before setting her sights on becoming a top Hollywood stuntwoman in the movie industry. If this sounds easy, it wasn't. To this day, Dana battles self-doubts whose roots extend back to her youth. But she never quits. She competes successfully in the world's most challenging industries.Dana's autobiography, One Step with Courage: The Story of My Life From Olympic Gold Medalist to Hollywood Stuntwoman, was released in May 2020. Taekwondo Life Magazine featured her story and book release in March, 2021, as part of its International Women's Day Celebration ~ DanaHee.com© 2026 All Rights Reserved© 2026 BuildingAbundantSuccess!!Join Me on ~ iHeart Media @ https://tinyurl.com/iHeartBASSpot Me on Spotify: https://tinyurl.com/yxuy23baAmazon Music ~ https://tinyurl.com/AmzBASAudacy:  https://tinyurl.com/BASAud

This week, Emily's sitting down with Olympic Gold Medalist, professional volleyball player, founding athlete for League One Volleyball, and co-owner of Love Nebraska, Jordan Larson. A lot has happened since our first chat in 2021. Jordan dives deep into the personal and professional work that has allowed her to maintain elite performance over an impressive 16+ season career. "The Governor" (Jordan's nickname) opens up about the immense internal work required to evolve from being a quiet "leader by action" to a vocal and empathetic captain for her team. Jordan also shares her experience navigating a difficult personal period, including a divorce, and how she learned to separate her self-worth from her on-court performance. It's a candid conversation about finding inner peace, the importance of "failing fast" to learn, and her excitement for growing the future of women’s volleyball in the United States through ventures like Love Nebraska and League One Volleyball. This is a masterclass in resilience, leadership, and the power of continual evolution. In This Episode: 16+ Seasons of Elite Performance: Jordan shares what still excites her about lacing up and how she remains a student of the sport after almost two decades. The Evolution of Leadership: We discuss the shift from being a "leader by action" to a vocal, empathetic captain who builds deeper connections with her teammates. Beyond the White Lines: Why true success and team cohesion require knowing the person behind the athlete, not just their on-court skill. The Hardest Hurdle: Jordan opens up about the immense internal work required to find peace and process her divorce, and how she used that time to define her self-worth outside of volleyball. Failing Fast: The necessity of taking risks in practice and the importance of a "goldfish mindset" for quick failure and recovery. Love Nebraska and League One Volleyball: Her passion for growing the sport domestically and the importance of creating opportunities for female athletes to thrive at home. Advice to Her Younger Self: The importance of being able to sit in the hard, uncomfortable feelings instead of running from them. QUOTABLE MOMENTS

Every Mile Matters: Turning Triathlon Training Into Cancer Triumph by Jeffrey L. Reynolds, Ph.D https://www.amazon.com/Every-Mile-Matters-Triathlon-Training/dp/B0FJQ2Q98P Everymilematters.com Three sports. Two cancer diagnoses. One unbreakable spirit. At age 55, Jeffrey L. Reynolds, Ph.D., crossed the finish line at Ironman Florida - a grueling triathlon and the crowning achievement of his endurance sports journey. Just weeks later, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He fought through treatment, recovered—and was hit again. This time, it was Stage 3B colorectal cancer. In Every Mile Matters, Dr. Reynolds shares how the physical fitness, mental fortitude, grit and resilience developed through triathlon and marathon training became his greatest weapons in the fight for his life. The Long Island resident didn't just apply his athletic mindset—he relied on it. Each round of radiation became a daily workout. Each chemo session, a test of strategy and strength. And every setback, an opportunity to dig deeper, endure and win. This is a powerful story of transformation, of turning pain into purpose and struggle into strength. Reynolds explores the emotional and spiritual shifts that come with surviving cancer—alongside practical tools for mindset, wellness, and long-term recovery. Perfect for athletes, cancer survivors, caregivers, and anyone facing adversity, Every Mile Matters is an uplifting, unforgettable tribute to the grit that carries us through finish lines—and the fights that matter most. “Every Mile Matters is a triumph of heart and soul in battling the demons of cancer. Jeffrey Reynolds has captured each defining moment of his cancer journey with honesty, passion, and remarkable clarity. Through his story, he teaches us powerful life lessons - and more importantly, how to live them daily. His defining moments at the IRONMAN finish line gave him the strength to fight on. His resilience, vulnerability, and relentless spirit remind us that the human will is stronger than any diagnosis. This book isn't just about surviving cancer - it's about reclaiming life and helping others to do the same. A must-read for anyone facing adversity or seeking inspiration to rise above it.” - Mike Reilly, Voice of IRONMAN and author of Finding My Voice “Dr. Jeff Reynolds' book is an important one for everyone, but especially for those who have been given “the diagnosis” that changes your life forever. I feel strongly that we are given 3 choices when going through a period of challenge or suffering. Succumb, Adapt, or Evolve. Jeff took the Evolve route and it has changed his life for the “BEST-ER.” Taking charge of your life is a choice, and he represents that greatest choice in this book.” - Scott Hamilton, Olympic Gold Medalist and cancer survivor.
