This is my take on the Tech News that have made headlines last week or so with a South African twist to it.

Kwano Media — Netflix is testing the Shuffle Button on its TV Apps. When pressed it recommends what to watch based on your viewing history. Before it plays though it tells you why that show and also gives you the age restrictions just incase you are watching with kids. Kwano Media
Kwano Media — Showmax Pro so finally coming to South Africa, yeah MultiChoice is a South African company but then they opted to launch this service to everyone in Africa besides us until now. It's going live tomorrow on the 19th of August and it will carry the normally Showmax stuff you know plus music channels, live sports and news channel. Kwano Media
Kwano Media — MTN today on the 30th of June 2020 is launching thier 5G offering all you need will be a 5G enabled device and a LTE SIM card. It will be active in 3 provinces at launch and that's Gauteng around Honeydew and Bryanston that's in Johannesburg, Westen Cape around Blouberg in Cape Town and lastly Free State in Universitas that's under Bloemfontein. Kwano Media — DStv pens a deal with Netflix and Amazon which by the looks of what has happened in Europe will allow people to have the basic DStv subscription and then above and beyond that if you have a subscription of Netflix or maybe Amazon Prime you can then have access to those stuff via a new Dstv Decoder that they are working on. Kwano Media — Facebook has launched a tool that can enable you to delete all those pesky posts that you want all gone from your profile. It's called Manage Activity Tool and it enables you to delete them in bulk. www.kwanomedia.co.za Kwano Media

Kwano Media — I know I've been banging about this to everyone around me for a while now but yeah its the age of Dark Mode and with that being where we are, everyone is moving towards that so with that being said WhatsApp has finally rolled out their take on Dark Mode which looks a tad different when you compare the one on iOS to the one on Android. Looking at the photos that Facebook shared when they were announcing WhastApp's take on Dark Mode, on iOS for me looks a bit like what they've done with Instagram where they use the true black whereas the ones we got on Android is a bit greyish with a touch of green.
