Optimism. It is a common word but seldom put into practice. You have to have optimize in your life. I recently made friends with an associate of Richard Kinder. The man is worth of $7 billion and the secret to his success, optimism. He does not live in the here and now. He lives 3 to 5 years out. He does not get caught up in the drama that you might find in the office but looks into the future.

You can't turn a pig's ear into a silk purse. Even after all the push and training the bottom producers are still the bottom producers. Stop wasting your time on the bottom. Focus on the top producers. Give them what they need to be greater. Cut the bottom loose.

Understand your employees and know what makes them tick.
Do your employees have a strong enough why and is that why strong enough to leave or to stay. How do you prevent them from leaving. You need to tap into their why.
You're handcuffed by your reality. Your reality sucks because you live in reality. Live in the future and stop living in today. Dream big.
You don't have a plan for your business. You need to layout a system for success. The under producers wake up and don't know what to do.
Do you hate your industry or does it hate you? Every industry is great for the top dog. How do you get to a point of loving your industry?
Your wife loves diamonds but so does your business. Your previous customers are your acres of diamonds. Get out there and mine those acres of diamonds.
Pick a few things that you do well. Do a lot of it and become excellent.
Do you have an ally or enemy at home? You have to do great things in both business and at home. Make your enemy an ally or make your ally an even greater one.
