On the morning of Day 13 of Sean "Diddy" Combs's federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial, his former assistant, testifying under the pseudonym "Mia," continued her testimony detailing alleged abuse and manipulation by Combs. She recounted a 2015 incident where, while in South Africa with Combs's then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, Combs and his chief of staff bombarded her with messages and calls after Ventura discovered his infidelity and refused contact. Mia testified that Combs, appearing irrational and slurring, threatened to ruin her career and pressured her to intervene. She also described how Combs used past assaults to blackmail her and threatened to sabotage her ABC comedy project, which was never aired .Additionally, Mia described the volatile environment while working for Combs over nine years, noting both psychological manipulation and physical abuse, including being thrown against walls and sexually assaulted. She testified that she felt trapped and feared for her safety, stating, "I couldn't tell him 'no' about anything," and that Combs could ruin her future if she left or was fired . Mia's testimony is a key component in the prosecution's effort to establish a pattern of coercion and abuse by Combs.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:(1) Live updates: Sean ‘Diddy' Combs trial continues with more ‘Mia' testimony | CNN

On May 5, the federal government began collecting on its defaulted student loan portfolio for the first time since March 2020 for approximately five million borrowers in default. As part of its collection efforts, the Trump administration says it will garnish wages, tax refunds, and federal benefits of defaulted student loan borrowers. After collections resumed, approximately 2.2 million had their credit scores drop by 100 points or more, potentially impacting their ability to secure housing, insurance, car loans, and employment.Ad-free podcasts are here! Many listeners have been asking for an ad-free version of this podcast that they could subscribe to — and we finally launched it. For the last five months, the excellent people at Purple Acorn have been broadcasting the Alder Hour live on LinkedIn on Monday afternoons. It's an hour-long show where I team up with my co-hosts Rhona Pierce from Perceptible Studios and Jocelyn King from Virgil HR to talk about TA and HR headlines we've spotted during the week, analyze real-life workplace dilemmas, debate what's trending and what's ending in recruiting and interview a different guest every week. I am dropping the audio podcast version of this week's show in the Recruiting Future feed so you can take a listen to what we've been doing. I'd love to know what you think and whether I should drop the show into this feed more regularly. This week, we covered the merging of technology and HR departments, AI bias, mental health at work, why the use of Resumes is way past its sell-by date, and RecFest founder Jamie Leonard dropped in to talk about the most significant issues for TA Leaders at the moment. You can catch the Alder Hour weekly on my LinkedIn profile, via The Purple Acorn LinkedIn page, or on their YouTube channel. Let me know whether I should drop more Alder Hour episodes into this feed in the future. Enjoy the show

Howard Hamilton, the creator of Soccermetrics, brings you the new episode of the Copa Libertadores Show...Match Day 4 in the group stage kicks off this week and some teams can already punch their ticket forward...Here's the preview!
On Monday, the U.S. Department of Education is expected to resume collections on student loans that are in default, ending a five-year pause that first began at the start of the pandemic. According to the agency, more than 5 million borrowers are in default, which typically happens after nine months of non-payment on a federal student loan. The federal government can force collections on defaulted student loans by garnishing wages, tax refunds or Social Security benefits. About 500,000 Oregonians have student loans, most of which have balances between $10,000 and $40,000, according to Lane Thompson, the Oregon Student Loan Ombuds. That position was created through the passage of SB 485 in 2021 that also required all companies that service student loans in Oregon to be licensed by the state’s Division of Financial Regulation. Thompson joins us to share more information about her office and offers advice for borrowers in Oregon.
