On today's show, I discuss what being single reveals in the lifestyle, and why it's often less about preference than about capacity. This episode continues the journal entry Strong Enough to Stay Single and looks at how structure, intensity, and roles can quietly become substitutes for regulation. I explore what actually breaks connection when curiosity and listening fall away. No advice, no villains, just recognition.Continue the discussion on Fetlife: @Enhanced-MindDon't forget to hit the follow button and rate my show 5 stars so others may find it. Daily Word As leaders, creators, and builders, we often pour everything into vision, people, and purpose while quietly neglecting the very vessel God uses to carry out the assignment: our bodies. Scripture makes it clear that our bodies are not incidental, disposable, or secondary to spiritual work. They are temples of the Holy Spirit, designed to host God's presence and execute God's will. Using the imagery of athletic discipline, biblical context, and the example of Christ Himself, this message calls leaders to reframe health not as vanity or self-focus, but as faithful stewardship. __________ 1 Corinthians 6:19–20 NIV, Romans 12:1 NIV, 1 Corinthians 9:24–27 NIV, Daniel 1:8–16 NIV, John 1:14 NIV __________ Partner with Us: https://churchforentrepreneurs.com/partner Connect with Us: https://churchforentrepreneurs.com Leave a Comment: https://churchforentrepreneurs.com/comments __________
Mo Haghbin, managing director for strategic ETFs at ProShares says it's not unusual to have a strong equity market when there's accommodative central bank policy, and he's expecting that to continue even with the Fed under direction of new chairman nominee Kevin Warsh. Haghbin says "It's a little bit of a Goldilocks situation right now," with the next year being an environment that seems "just right," and therefore is not particularly vulnerable to a bear market or recession. In "The Week That Is," Vijay Marolia, chief investment officer at Regal Point Capital, discusses spiking volatility that saw precious metals reach new highs before backing away from them, looks at mixed earnings results for four Big Tech names, and discusses the merger that Elon Musk is proposing for himself — combining SpaceX with xAI — and why the seemingly strange deal isn't actually weird. David Trainer, president at New Constructs, looks at a boutique mutual fund that on the surface looks decent but which he says holds too many dangerous stocks, which he thinks will turn three years of super-hot performance back into a long-term record of feast-or-famine results. Plus, Chuck looks at the recently announced retirement of Will Danoff, manager of Fidelity's Contrafund since 1990, and how investors should evaluate their next response, a next move Chuck himself is considering as a shareholder in Danoff's hugely successful fund.

What happens when the strength you've always depended on suddenly isn't enough?
Let me ask you directly: are you strong enough to be a dominant? Not strong enough to tell her what to do. Strong enough to actually lead her. Because real strength isn't about being unmoved by emotion. It's about being able to handle emotion without shutting down, without running away, without needing it to stop. And if you can't do that, you're not strong enough. Not yet. In this episode, I challenge the lie that dominance requires emotional armor. I break down why that version of "strength" is actually fear, why she keeps testing you (and why you keep failing), and what it actually takes to be strong enough to create real surrender. This is confrontational. It's supposed to be. Because too many men are hiding behind performances of strength instead of doing the work to become actually powerful. Questions about our courses? Morning Mantra: “You were given this life because you are strong enough to live it.”Life is tough. But so are you. We have all had days when we have thought we weren't strong enough to get through it. But to keep going when everyone would understand if you quit, that is when your strength is discovered. We have all asked ourselves, "Why am I going through this?" Because it's a part of your journey of self-discovery. Because life doesn't always get easier or more forgiving, you just get stronger and more resilient. More able to deal with what life throws at you. When in doubt, look back at how far you've come, what you have already overcome and know that some of the best days of your life haven't happened yet.#BeStronger #BeHappy #BeHorsey #BeHippie #MorningMantras #InspirationalQuotes #HorseHippie #HorseHippieBrand #HorseHippieBoutique

What does real masculinity look like when life gets heavy? In this episode of Pushing Back Chaos, Kris and Paul challenge cultural ideas of strength and explore a healthier model of masculinity—one rooted in presence, service, emotional awareness, and faith.“Masculinity isn't proven by how much you can lift. It's proven by how much you can carry—and still love well.”They discuss holiday pressures, toxic vs. healthy masculinity, childhood patterns under stress, identity over control, and how true strength is revealed through service rather than self-protection. Personal stories from Special Operations, family medical crises, and leading at home bring the conversation down to real life. This episode challenges cultural definitions of masculinity and replaces them with a model rooted in presence, service, emotional integrity, and faith. Final ThoughtMasculinity, at its best, reflects a strength that absorbs pressure without passing pain downstream. On this episode we revisit a popular debate, but with a few new angles. This is not a typical strength vs cardio conversation, since everyone should obviously do both. Instead we focus on the "optimization" challenge of finding an appropriate balance between the two.Baseline health guidance (both for Americans and globally) calls for 150 minutes of "moderate to vigorous physical activity" weekly, plus two days of muscle strengthening activity. That provides a starting point for minimum activity levels, but what about performance goals? We chat about strength and endurance standards from a few different sources, as well as research on dose response to strength training vs cardio. For the Ranger Regiment data mentioned, the more recent version is no longer available since their human performance page has been deactivated, but here's a link to the older data we discuss.BYU/University of Minnesota study on dose-response association with mortalityHarvard/Iowa State optimum dose studyRand study on ACFT associations with injury risk

Getting Off the Sidelines Have you ever looked around and realized that too many parents are sitting on the sidelines of their kids' lives? Chris had this exact thought during a recent Girl Dad camp, where he noticed how many dads struggled to fully participate in simple activities like soccer, frisbee, or even just running around with their daughters. It broke his heart—not out of judgment, but out of empathy. Because every parent wants to be in the game, not watching from the bench. In this episode, Chris and Melissa unpack what it really means to stay active and engaged—not for vanity, but for energy, presence, and connection. They share stories from Disneyland, conversations with inspiring elders, and even Chris's intense bodybuilding prep that showed the tradeoffs and sacrifices health sometimes requires. The theme is clear: your health isn't just about you. It's about the people counting on you. Melissa highlights how health impacts every other family value—from talking and bonding, to appreciating and prioritizing one another. Without the physical ability to engage, everything else becomes harder. Together, they remind listeners that choosing short-term sacrifice leads to long-term freedom—and that even small decisions today can keep you off the sidelines tomorrow. Chris also shares a powerful, raw perspective: as dads, are we strong enough to be “dangerous” in defense of our families? Not reckless, but capable. Strong enough to wrestle, hike, run, play, and even protect if needed. It's about being prepared to show up fully in every sense of the word. This episode isn't about six-pack abs or gym selfies. It's about creating energy, joy, and capability so you can fully participate in the lives of the people you love most. If you've ever felt tired, stretched thin, or sidelined, this conversation will challenge and inspire you to step back onto the field. LINKS: 1. familybrand.com/quiz 2. familybrand.com/retreats. When we think about getting sober, most of the focus is on not drinking, but we don't think about what to start doing to actually rewire the brain and move forward. In this episode, I'll explain why white-knuckling doesn't work. You'll learn about why willpower is not the most important factor for staying sober, how being “strong” prevents us from getting support, and what you can do differently to make progress. It's not about convincing yourself of all the bad health effects of alcohol or powering through temptation, because if those things were effective long term strategies, then relapse rates wouldn't be so high. I will also discuss how taking on the label of an “alcoholic” is a barrier for many people that keeps us isolated and drinking.
