Three Bros. One Switch

Let's not beat around the bush here...STEVE is in SMASH!?!?!?!? That in and of itself is a discussion that can last a whole episode but there are also a few little news goodies Nintendo has provided us worth talking over.

For all of us not living under a rock, Super Mario Bros. just celebrated it's 35th anniversary; that is truly a momentous achievement! In response to this, Nintendo released a direct explaining their upcoming Mario game roster to last the next five to six months. Notable inclusions were, Super Mario 35 (Super Mario x Tetris 99), Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury annnnnd the piece de resistance...SUPER MARIO 3D ALLL STARS NOT JUST A SIMPLE PORT FOR THE NINTENDO SWITCH! Also Nintendo casually dropped that a prequel to Breath of the Wild in the form of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity would be released this November so we talk about that as well!

We certainly made the best of summer 2020 what we could. But now it's September and all we have left to do is reminisce on the highlights. One of those highlights was the two free summer updates to Animal Crossing New Horizons courtesy of Nintendo! So today we grab our dear old friend Jasmyne Siss to discuss the updates and the overall fun of the game! But that's not all we have to discuss, we have PIKMIN 3 DELUXE THOUGHTS, we have a special anniversary that we have to make note of, and also MARIO KART TOUR IS STILL GOOD! (Who would've thought)

In this episode of Three Bros One Switch, we dive deep into a nostalgic game from our childhood...Super Mario Galaxy. It's truly an experience like no other and if you haven't played the game, I highly suggest you do, or watch gameplay footage we don't care!

Seven episodes ago, two of us took a half an hour out of our day to rant about MARIO KART TOUR. Funny enough it was because Ry was super late to the record session that day and Tyler and I were bored so we made a micro episode. If you're wondering if that is still the case today, IT'S NOT. The difference today is that Tyler and I planned this episode and Ry was still late. Ry's just late to the record sessions, no hate or anything! But yea Mario Kart Tour is surprisingly AWESOMETACULAR now and it caught Tyler and I way off guard. So much in fact that we just had to talk about it! I hope you enjoy our sequel micro episode, I'm sure there will be more. And as mentioned in the podcast, TYLER has a new podcast of his own (yes that makes him a traitor but we still love him). Anyways it's called the ROCK CAFE PODCAST! So please please please do me a favor and CHECK IT OUT! (even though he's a traitor)

Right now we've hit a bit of a loll week in regards to Nintendo news, so in this episode: Tyler, Ry, Jacob, and myself look to pretty much every franchise corner Nintendo has to offer and their corresponding games and decide which one ranks supreme! Mario Bros, Mario Kart, Zelda, Smash bros, every franchise is in play...except for Metroid.

Man oh man, we never thought one of our fighter predictions would come true. Sure we had some hints from Nintendo...like revealing the franchise the fighter hails from..but other than that...MIN MIN is an absolute WIN WIN!! In this podcast discussion, we basically speculate whether or not the above statement holds true for everyone on the team. Min Min may be an amazing character, but her unique moves might prove to be too challenging for others to like!!

Yep...sounds about right. The day I go on vacation these two scalawags basically have 2nd Christmas, 2nd Easter, 2nd Hanukkah, 2nd Lief Erickson Day with the release of SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS: BATTLE FOR BIKINI BOTTOM | REHYDRATED DELUXE JELLYFISH EDITION PRO MAX EDITION! I know I give these guys a lot of crap for liking this game but I'm really happy they got to do this! If you want to see what's in store then by all means click ahead!!

So uh guys...we never got an E3 NINTENDO direct this year. Quite a bummer right? And the only real thing that possibly brings any silver lining to this cloud is our creative imagination!! In this episode of THREE BROS ONE SWITCH, we give our speculation as to what we thought would be revealed at the 2020 E3 Nintendo presentation as well as what we would have liked to see! Also we bring Jacob in for another episode...you guys remember Jacob right? Right?

Okay yes I'm about a half a month late, but these podcasts are tough to produce and this one is no exception. On May 29th, 2014, Mario Kart 8 rocked the world with its incredible ensemble cast of characters and tracks, game mechanics, kart customization, graphical overhaul, divisive gameplay, BUT NOT BATTLE MODE!! In this podcast episode we look to dissect as to why Mario Kart 8 is so amazing from every nook and cranny with special guest JACOB MOHLER!

So remember when Nintendo just kinda leisurely tossed us a trailer for the next installment in the Paper Mario franchise? If you don't, consider this episode a refresher and a way to hype it up because THE HYPE IS REAL! Also the 'Cult of Origami' is real too, mark my words!

Mario Kart Tour....The perfect example of a 'love-hate' relationship. Today we have a mini micro episode basically dissecting what makes Mario Kart Tour good...and very very bad. For those of who who actually like Zach on the show, unfortunately he will be absent from this recording. He deemed sleep more important which is understandable!

We're a little early with our discussion but the first fighter to join FIGHTERS PASS VOL. 2 is growing ever near. So we decided to get together and discuss the overall impact of VOL. 1 and rank the fighters accordingly. I think you'll be surprised regarding our rankings! As always we throw in random segments like Office tangents, Bikini Bottom Hydrated hype and so on!

Yea, you knew this episode was coming... We all have our mains in Smash Bros and ULTIMATE is no exception; with so many characters to choose from...can you predict who our main fighters are! Before we get into the main discussion, as always we have mini discussions regarding relevant gaming topics like Battle for Bikini Bottom REHYDRATED, the return of Splatoon 2 SPLATFESTS, and the Animal Crossing VIBES!

In this episode, we make our claims as to why these characters should be included. Tyler will be backing Michael Scott, I will be backing Optimus, and Ry with Spongebob. And yes at the end we just start quoting Spongebob but WHO WOULDN'T...who wouldn't...

In this episode of Three Bros One Switch, we celebrate Easter and Bunny Day by giving our thoughts on New Horizons so far! We also cycle through our final predictions for the Fighters PASS VOL. 2 fighters and give our hopes for what we want to see in the upcoming Mario Game remasters!

Mario Kart is all the buzz right now and we couldn't be happier. With the Booster Pass Wave 1 releasing and the triumphant return of Mii's to Mario Kart Tour, we decided it was time to do our annual retrospective on Mario Kart Tour. Today we are kicking off our new season of episodes with discussing the DIRECT that Nintendo...blessed us with? As you can see by my hesitation there's a little controversy going around regarding a certain green clad elf boy and his Master Sword. But there's still plenty of good about the Direct to talk about: Pyra and Mythra join Smash, and SPLATOON 3 IS ANNOUNCED!! So prepare to hear plentiful positivity and some kinda negativity!

The next Smash Bros. Ultimate Challenger sparks a lot of impressions, and a lot of implications. So with that in mind, let's discuss the one-winged angel that brings gloom and despair and who single handedly murdered the one fighter Dom wanted in Smash Bros.
