On this episode of Foxworth Thursday, Bomani Jones and Dominique Foxworth break down Bam Adebayo dropping 83 points in a historic performance—but will anyone remember it like the legendary scoring nights from players like Kobe Bryant? The guys debate how impressive the game really was and why context matters when we talk about huge scoring totals. Later, the Baltimore Ravens reportedly backed out of a trade for Maxx Crosby, leaving the Las Vegas Raiders in a strange position after the deal collapsed over a failed physical. Bomani and Foxworth explain why the situation looks messy—and why the Ravens might have changed their mind after seeing Crosby's medicals. They also discuss why Daniel Jones landing another big contract says a lot about the quarterback market, the surprising reunion between Geno Smith and the New York Jets and why the league might be overloading the schedule with new games—including a possible Thanksgiving Eve matchup. The quarterback conversation continues as Evan and Tiki react to a projection that the Jets could end up with Jacoby Brissett and Geno Smith in their QB room. Would a Geno reunion make any sense, or would it just bring back painful memories for Jets fans? They also revisit the Derek Carr speculation and debate whether his recent comments actually mean he wants to play in New York or if the Jets are reading too much into it. Plus, the guys pivot to baseball with Yankees spring training talk, Aaron Boone's live “damn it” reaction during a Ryan McMahon play, and why top prospect George Lombard is starting to turn heads in camp.

Hockey Jesus is back on The Sports Porch Black and Gold, breaking down tonight's tough Pittsburgh Penguins loss to the Buffalo Sabres. From defensive breakdowns to missed opportunities, he dives into what went wrong, who showed up, who didn't, and what this means for the Pens moving forward. We'll talk momentum swings, special teams struggles, lineup decisions, and whether this team can find consistency as the season grinds on.Join the conversation live — drop your thoughts in the chat and let's break it all down together. The Sports Porch Black and Gold brings you real Pittsburgh sports talk with no filters, no fluff, and no corporate spin. Just passion, honesty, and Black & Gold energy.
We are 1 day away from the NHL Trade Deadline as the surprise Penguins are all of the sudden a buyer. But how big of one? Will the Pens go after someone as notable as Vincent Trocheck? We may see Kyle Dubas take it slow and not go overboard, even though the Pens need center help. Shane Wright was a name we broached – a center with the Kraken that is freshly 22-years-old and had 44 points last season. What should the Penguins do with Evgeni Malkin? The guys think it only makes sense to re-sign Geno after the season if he plays well and helps this team make it to the playoffs. Did Kyle Dubas already have another plan in his mind about Malkin before the Penguins season played out? Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo from the PG joined the show. Ray could foresee Aaron Rodgers giving the Steelers an answer off-the-record like he did last year as this thing could string out for another year. Ray admitted that some of Rodgers' comments yesterday made the situation a little bit more ‘murky.' Ray doesn't expect this to be a question mark until June again this time around. Ray isn't sure how likely it is that any of the outside free agents would come in and be the Steelers QB. Ray talked about the chances Will Howard and Mason Rudolph have to steer the ship. Ray reminded the guys that they will not give Howard the keys without having seen him in any game action. The guys noted that Jacoby Brissett, despite a 1-11 record last season, had numbers eerily similar to Rodgers in 2025. Ray thinks Kenneth Gainwell will explore his market in free agency after winning team MVP. Chris gave Ray some WR names to pick from and he chose Romeo Doubs, thinking he'd be around $15M/year player. How much would the Steelers have to offer Calvin Austin to get him back? Ray said the versatility of Jalen Ramsey allows the Steelers to explore multiple avenues when it comes to the defensive backfield this offseason. Which WR is the best in this draft? Ray is surprised there wasn't more news around Carnell Tate running a 4.52 40-yard dash. Ray thinks WR is the first move the Steelers make on Monday, either via trade or free agency.

The crew breaks down the NFL quarterback market as several big names could be on the move. With Kyler Murray reportedly released by Arizona, he instantly becomes one of the top free agent options, while there's also a strong possibility the Raiders part ways with Geno Smith, putting another proven veteran into the mix. Kirk Cousins and Tua Tagovailoa are also expected to be available, creating a crowded QB carousel. The Vikings are likely to bring in competition for J.J. McCarthy, and teams like the Vikings, Jets, Dolphins, and Steelers are all in need of answers at the position. Plus, the guys debate whether Aaron Rodgers returns for another season — and if Pittsburgh will be his landing spot — while breaking down what the actual market for Tua might look like.

Vikings QB Rumors: Geno Smith, Kyler Murray, and the Uncertain Future of JJ McCarthy + Mock Draft Breakdown — Host Tyler Forness and Producer Dave discuss Vikings quarterback rumors centered on Geno Smith, Kyler Murray, and the uncertain future of J.J. McCarthy, contrasting national reports hinting at a split with local reporting that Minnesota wants competition. Forness explains how Geno's contract structure could enable a release, why he prefers Geno over Kirk Cousins as a stopgap, and why Kyler's fit is questioned due to durability, height, and reluctance to throw over the middle. They note Vikings staff concerns about McCarthy's consistency and leadership, plus organizational pressure on Kevin O'Connell after front-office and coaching changes. The episode closes with Forness's first-round and seven-round mock drafts, including rationale for picks like LSU CB Mansoor Delane, Georgia LB CJ Allen, and other mid-to-late round targets. 00:00 Vikings QB Rumor Rundown 01:19 Show Intro and Housekeeping 02:58 Geno Smith to Minnesota 03:53 Contract Cap Mechanics 08:27 Geno Fit vs Kyler Debate 14:27 JJ McCarthy Divorce Buzz 17:39 OConnell Pressure and Stakes 26:18 Staffers Concerns and Leadership 30:22 Other QB Options and Derek Carr 33:04 Mock Drafts Tease 33:48 Sunny Styles Buzz 34:16 Vikings Need DT 35:14 Worst Backup QB 35:57 How Mocks Work 38:09 Vikings Pick CJ Allen 40:41 Sneaky QB Options 42:03 Other Team Fits 44:06 Mock Tracker Talk 47:54 Seven Round Vikings 49:11 Mid Round Targets 52:53 Late Round Sleepers 55:28 Rodriguez Debate 57:16 Wrap Up Schedule 58:36 Safety Class Notes 59:59 Final Sign Off _____________________________________________________________ ⭐️ Subscribe to us here! - https://www.youtube.com/@vikings1stskol92 ⭐️ Our Twitter can be found at @Vikings1stSKOL ⭐️ Our Discord at https://discord.com/invite/493z6mQXcN ⭐️ Tyler Forness can be read at A to Z Sports - https://atozsports.com/nfl/minnesota-vikings-news/ ⭐️ Submit questions: forms.gle/7LJkCAern9kdUkuD8 ⭐️ On Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/vikings1standskol ⭐️ Watch the live show here: https://youtu.be/qn9BmyH4cQY Fan With Us!!! What does the future look like for Evgeni Malkin? Following Saturday's shootout loss, Geno shared with the media that he will not be going over contract stuff with Kyle Dubas and the Penguins until the offseason. What should happen? Is it as easy as a 2-year deal for the Penguins legend? It's hard to deny what Malkin has done this season after we thought this would be the swansong.

The big breaking news of the day is Sidney Crosby being out for ‘at least' 4 weeks after the lower-body injury suffered last week in the Olympics. Does this ruin the Penguins' season? Historically, Evgeni Malkin has stepped up big when Crosby has been absent, but can he do that at 39? One of our biggest fans, and a massive Penguins fan, told us he was ‘spiraling' with this news. For as fun as this season has been and as fun as the US winning a gold medal was – was it all worth it? The guys don't think we should just accept the fact that the Olympics could very well cost the Penguins a playoff spot. Was Sidney Crosby really that close to playing in the Gold Medal game? Former Penguin Tyler Kennedy joined the show. TK reacted to the news of Sidney Crosby being out for ‘at least' a month as the Penguins pursue a playoff spot. Tyler expects Evgeni Malkin to step up, even at 39-years-old, like he has done in the past without Sid. He thinks Kyle Dubas will be aggressive as the trade deadline approaches. Dubas made another trade TK liked yesterday, moving on from one defenseman to acquire another. Tyler said it's very good that Geno got this time off because he's at the age where that is necessary in the middle of the season. Tyler admitted he would give Jack Hughes a standing ovation tomorrow night if he was at the game. TK told us a wild story about an injury he suffered off-the-ice during his career that he had to slyly lie about.

Chad Zumock tries to get some drama going by acting like a tough guy. Plus a bunch of other Dabbleverse loose ends that may have slipped through your crack.

Geno the Goat, and Lindsay Vonn is Crazy
Welcome to episode 127 of The Journey Is the Reward! On this episode, Brian and Micah are joined by Carlos, the founder of Plane Talking UK, for a deep dive into the world of aviation podcasting from a UK perspective. Before the guys get to the main event, they start with some essential ground handling from listener Marc. He checks in to discuss the legendary durability of Kirkland Signature luggage and gives us the lowdown on the new location for Geno's Steaks in Hampton, Virginia—a destination definitely worth the detour. The conversation then moves to the airport lounge, as listener Tonya writes in about the perks of buying an annual Priority Pass membership. It's a savvy move for anyone who wants the VIP treatment without being forced to carry a credit card with a "heavy-lift" annual fee. We also tackle a question from listener Lu regarding the ever-expanding world of Basic Economy. Lu wants to know if Micah and Brian would ever actually book one of those "no-frills" seats, and Carlos chimes in with his two pounds of thought, noting how the fare wars look a bit different across the pond.In the spirit of the season, Brian celebrates a successful delivery of Dubai chocolate for Christmas, while another listener proposes a massive trip to India for 2027. We want to know if you're ready to join the crew, so please write in and let us know if you'd be interested in a listener trip to the subcontinent! Brian@TheJourneyIsTheReward.ORG.Finally, the boys sit down with Carlos to celebrate a milestone that's definitely cleared for departure: the 600th episode of PTUK. Micah and Brian reminisce about attending the 200th and 400th shows, but sadly, Brian has a "maintenance day" for this particular milestone. Because of Momma Coleman's 91st birthday party, Brian will be staying local—after all, family always gets priority boarding. And as always, our ears are blessed by the utterly soul-stirring, goosebump-inducing sounds of the Madalitso Youth Choir! Their Welcome and Goodbye songs, recorded straight from the Royal Livingston Hotel in Zambia, are pure magic.

It's #8 at 8 as MATT HASSELBECK joins us for the final time this season. - How will Matt be celebrating today? - What did he think of that defensive performance on Sunday? - What does he have to say to the critics of Sam Darnold? :30- Let's be honest, if DK Metcalf and Geno Smith were still here, we wouldn't be celebrating today. Yes, DK is very talented and Geno was good while here, but the moves allowed this team to get where they are today. :45- Nick Emmanwori has quickly become a fan favorite after a remarkable rookie season.
