What's up bros? We're almost there everyone (+ 3 reunion episodes of course). While some blind items have us excited at the potential cancellation of this stupid show, we actually do some pretty good mental gymnastics to realize there could be some semblance of a show in here somewhere if you get rid of the worst losers on the cast. We won't hold out any hope there of course but you get what we're saying. Jeremiah sucks too while we're at it. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Every parent reaches a moment when someone else has an opinion about what's best for their child, but there comes a point when you realize the responsibility ultimately rests with you. In this conversation, Paul Voss shares the deeply personal story behind his daughter May's autism diagnosis, the fear and uncertainty that followed, and the unexpected hope his family found along the way. We talk about navigating conflicting advice, making difficult health decisions, raising eight children through extraordinary challenges, and discovering that love often grows strongest in the places we never would have chosen. Whether you're parenting a child with special needs or simply trying to make thoughtful decisions for your family, this episode is a moving reminder that no one will ever know your child the way you do. Hello there! This week we'll tee up Christopher Nolan's new movie The Odyssey, which is getting terrific reviews. We'll also tee up the new Will Ferrell golf comedy on Netflix, The Hawk, which is TERRIBLE. I watched the original Moana and its 2024 sequel in the wake of the live action remake's box office failure. We offer our thoughts on season 2 of X-Men 97, and Jeff went to see Supergirl. Sam Neill has died at 78. And in honour of the recent 4th of July, I decided to revisit the 1996 classic Independence Day, and the not-so-classic from 2016, Independence Day Resurgence. I didn't hate it this time! - Brett

Self-awareness is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves, and also one of the hardest. In today's episode, I'm talking about why self-awareness is important (and also sucks). As we begin doing inner work, we often become painfully aware of habits, reactions, and patterns we'd rather not see. It can feel uncomfortable, and yeah, even a little discouraging. But becoming aware of those parts of ourselves isn't the goal. The goal is to learn to understand them with curiosity, rather than judgment. When we approach ourselves with compassion rather than shame, self-awareness becomes less about “fixing” ourselves and more about understanding ourselves. The good news? Self-awareness isn't something we're born with - it's something we can practice. The process may feel uncomfortable at first, but with grace and patience, greater awareness leads to greater healing, healthier relationships, and the kind of good movement that begins with us!In this episode, I cover:Why self-awareness often feels uncomfortable at firstHow self-awareness is different from self-judgmentHow unhelpful behaviors often begin as protective strategies + choosing to get curious when you notice theseWhy self-awareness is the first step toward good movement & lasting changeSimple ways you can grow your self-awareness Make sure to hit subscribe/follow so you never miss an episode! In this episode, we are diving deep into Seasons 1 through 3, dissecting why this raw, unfiltered "new money" magic worked so well, and exposing the masterclass in projection that is Shereé Whitfield. We break down Shereé's historic, three-time run as a peach holder and examine how her "fashion show with no fashions," imaginary acting career, and constant shade toward actual business moguls (looking at you, Tags boutique) exposed a deep-rooted spirit of envy. Why did she turn up her nose at tangible, wealth-building infrastructure while building an empire based entirely on unreturned contractor phone calls? We've got the receipts. Plus, we look at the performative perfection of DeShawn Snow's brief tenure and set the stage for our upcoming deep dives into the rest of the foundational cast. What's Coming Next in the RHOA Retrospective Series: The NeNe Leakes Files: How the Queen of Reality TV clocked the pretension of Atlanta society, weaponized "new money" volatility, and altered pop culture forever. The Kandi Burruss Blueprint: Operational infrastructure vs. aesthetic wealth, and the reality of building a lasting empire. Want to know how to be happy even though your marriage sucks? We know what it feels like to be in a long-term, committed, monogamous, romantic relationship that is cold, distant, adversarial and bitter and we can help you identify whether this is just a phase or whether it's time to start moving on.In this episode I talk about the common story that most of the men in our community are living before they reach out and start getting the support and understanding from our coaches and the initiated, strong, good men in our community who get exactly what you're going through and have many stories to help you get clear about how you want to respond to your current situation.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/goodguys2greatmen-podcast--4650431/support.In our coaching, we help men get a powerful new mindset that empowers you to give, love and connect more deeply because you're finally doing that within yourself first. This mindset allows empathy, trust and connection to happen because you're confident in who you're being. We teach skills and knowledge that nobody ever teaches men when we're younger. Skills and knowledge that make you feel confident and in control even when chaos is going on around you. It's amazing what you can achieve when you make yourself a priority. Most men don't. They are too busy taking care of everyone else. Too busy minding the store and making the money. They are focused on the "outside game" of winning life. But their "inside game" of confidence and clarity is suffering badly. You can only improve your inside game with other men. We would love to help you become more calm, more strong emotionally and more confident and happy in who you are as a man. Come and join us, either through 1-on-1 coaching with my colleague Dan Dore or me, or in our group coaching program with other amazing men who are travelling the same path as you right now in our Men's Live Coaching Roundtable. It's like narcissism is oozing out of our celebrities, politicians, partners, parents, maybe even ourselves?? So today, we're taking a long look in the mirror to find out: are we all a bunch of narcissists? And what should we do if we think someone in our life is a narcissist? The cast split into warring factions, creating an environment so toxic that Bravo executives famously executed a "mass firing" at the end of the run. Key Storylines & Episode Hooks The Post-Bethenny Power Vacuum: With Bethenny Frankel gone, Jill Zarin tries to regain her status as the "Queen Bee" via a highly calculated, failed apology tour. The Arrival of Cindy Barshop: The one-season wonder introduces the world to "Vajazzling" while immediately clashing with Ramona and Sonja over arbitrary Upper East Side "pecking orders." The Morocco Disaster (Episodes 8–10): The defining trip of the season. Luann acts like a colonial matriarch, Ramona complains about the country being "dirty," and Alex McCord breaks out in literal stress hives while attempting to crash a dinner party. The Real Vibe: Pre-MAGA Populist Elitism Long before the modern political landscape had a name, Season 4 was its perfect blueprint. Kelly Bensimon weaponized language to live in a post-truth reality, coining the phrase "systematic bullying" to escape accountability. Ramona Singer proudly practiced the "rules don't apply to me" philosophy—physically shoving women to grab the best bedrooms and dismissing anything outside her zip code as "the boonies." Season 5: The Great Reboot (2012) The Setup Out with the old, in with the new. Bravo cleans house—firing Jill, Kelly, Alex, and Cindy—and introduces three brand-new housewives to shake up the mainstays (Ramona, Sonja, and Luann). Key Storylines & Episode Hooks The Enter of the Alpha (Heather Thomson): Sharp shapewear CEO Heather enters yelling "Holla!" and immediately sets boundaries with Ramona, completely refusing to bow to her bullying. The Radical Fragility of Aviva Drescher: Aviva introduces a highly glossy Upper East Side aesthetic, but her deep-seated phobias quickly take center stage. The St. Barth's Trip (Episodes 11–14): The peak reality TV crossover. Luann gets caught sneaking a French pirate into her bedroom and frantically speaks French on the phone to hide it, while Aviva arrives late and calls Ramona and Sonja "white trash" for not throwing her a party just for getting off an airplane. The Real Vibe: Weaponized Victimhood Season 5 perfected the art of using personal trauma as offensive artillery. Aviva Drescher used her prosthetic leg and medical anxieties as a bulletproof shield—positioning herself as the ultimate aggrieved underdog while simultaneously insulting her peers, demonstrating how loud privilege can completely rewrite group accountability.

FILM FEST TIX: https://buytickets.at/thedopeyfoundation/2216905 PATREON: www.patreon.com/dopeypodcast workithealth.com/dopey This week on Dopey Wednesday,! We begin with a Father's Day rant about dads texting each other, calls his father Alan live on the show, argues about masculinity, the Knicks championship, post-Knicks withdrawal, the Dopey Film Festival, and whether Seymour is allowed to come. Dave also reads Patreon and Spotify comments about Todd's sister Allie, Todd's apartment, Dopey socks, and listener reactions. Then the episode shifts into a live Workit Health/Dopey event with the great Amy “Dopey Dres” Dresner, author of My Fair Junkie. Amy talks brutally and hilariously about long-term recovery when life does not magically become beautiful: losing her father, mother, and cat in a short period of time, checking herself into a psych ward with ten years sober, surviving suicidal ideation, epilepsy, seizures, brain meds, isolation, grief, and the nightmare comedy of American healthcare. Dave and Amy get into harm reduction, MAT, 12-step recovery, writing through trauma, being funny in the middle of misery, shame, forgiveness, isolation, suicidal thoughts, and why connection is still the only real way out. It's classic Dopey: funny, dark, honest, messy, sad, useful, and somehow hopeful. All that and more on a weird new dopey! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
