Brother Sibusiso is a South African adventurer and motivational speaker and also the author of the book, To the Top from Nowhere. We talked about his journey to complete all Seven Summits and an unsupported and unassisted trek to reach the South Pole with his fellow South African Alex Harris. He is also the first Black African to summit earth's highest mountain, Everest. This episode is a long one but it is rich with inspirational stories. In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Maximilian Muenke, M.D. who is a US licensed Physician, and a US licensed Physician Acupuncturist. We talked about his upbringing, professional background, and the role fitness has played in his life. He received his M.D. degree from the Free University of Berlin in his native Germany in 1979 and did residency training at the University of Kiel, Germany. Dr. Muenke moved to the US over 25 years ago, where he continued his training as a research fellowship, at Yale University in New Haven, CT, and a clinical fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Muenke has always been interested in complementary and alternative medicine, specifically in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), medical acupuncture, and clinical hypnosis for a long time. Dr. Muenke is interested in using hypnosis, acupuncture, and Traditional Chinese Medicine to take care of the whole person, not just the symptoms.
