Hi guys! This was an awesome conversation. I speak to my sports psychologist once a week or once a month depending on how I am performing and feeling. On this podcast, I do one of my normal sessions for all of you to hear. I have been working with him for over three years now. He is famous for his work with golfers and NFL players, but he also has great understanding of soccer. Matt is one of the main reasons I ended up in Sweden. He and I were teammates at the newly promoted Allsvenskan club Varberg Bois. He recently put up his goalkeeping gloves and boots after playing at the highest level here in Sweden. and now coaches as well as writes for the Athletic who is producing amazing content these days. One of his articles was made into a featured Tifo video (link below). He is also leading the charge in raising awareness about mental health in the professional athletic world and I have attached a link below where he speaks about it in English.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_Pyzdrowskihttps://www.fotbollskanalen.se/video/11976360/pyzdrowski-jag-fick-reda-pa-hur-manga-som-kampar-med-psykisk-ohalsa/https://theathletic.com/author/matt-pyzdrowski/https://www.tifofootball.com/video/david-de-gea-and-the-near-post-myth/Support the show (https://www.charitywater.org/donate)

Diane has her D.M.A. (Doctorate of Musical Arts)Before this podcast and she told me that if I ever was to have her on my podcast to not tell her I was recording, but that she did want to be on the podcast. She just didn't want me to tell until we started doing the podcast. So in this podcast, you will hear me say "welcome to the podcast" and I don't want anyone to think this is what I do if I have a guest on. I always ask permission, of course, but she is a special case.0:00 - 50:00 - Orchestra Music 50:00 - 2:11:00 - Discuss/Argue about life Support the show (https://www.charitywater.org/donate)

Stefan is the assistant coach of Northeastern University, four year Dartmouth Division 1 College soccer alumn, and 3-year professional in the USL Championship. He and I lived together in Wilmington when we played for the Hammerheads. The first half is about college soccer coaching life. Then in the second half, he spits his knowledge of the ZNextStep Experience Podcast and explains how some of my opinions are outdated. Absolutely loved it! Don't ever be married to an idea.. unless you have a prenup lol. Anyways hope you enjoy!Check him out at insta @coachdefregger Support the show (https://www.charitywater.org/donate)
Scott is a recently retired (may come out of retirement) professional goalkeeper. He and I played together in PDL for the Des Moines Menace in 2012. He was drafted by Sporting Kansas City and won an MLS cup. We actually lived together in Des Moines along with three other clowns you will hear about in the podcast. He has spent the last 8 years playing in Finland in the top divisions and has found himself a lovely woman. We relive old memories tell stories about our professional careers and freak out over the idea, that if you had told us in 2012 we would be able to speak Swedish to each other we would have thought wtf are you talking about. This is a crazy story. So I was on my way to London to see my brother and my dad to go watch some Premier League Matches. On the flight over I sat between a man named David and Joakim. David is British and Joakim is Swedish. To add to that David is a huge Arsenal fan and Joakim is a huge United fan. So as I sat between them hearing them banter about football I thought why not do a podcast right here. You will hear that I mentioned the Footy Banter podcast. The Footy Banter is a great podcast that I love and I thought maybe if I recorded this I could send to them and maybe they would post it on their podcast. These guys were great guys and upon landing in London we went out for drinks later! The conversation was so good I thought I why not put it up on my own podcast. 1:00- 1:00:00 Arsenal BanterPepe sucksLjunberg CoachArsenal CaptainEngland underrated/overrated players 1:00:00- 1:30:00 If you had to put each team into a polictical party where would each team land? Luke and I played college soccer together at Valparaiso University. He graduated a year before me and became the assistant coach for the team. He and I used to train extra every day for all my four years. He is a big reason why I am a professional today. He just had his first season as the Head Coach of Viterbo University. Viterbo is an NAIA school in Wisconsin. I don't have an interview with him, but this is roughly what we talk about in these time frames of the podcast. The first 1-10 minutes: College StoriesThe next 20-30 minutes: What it is like to be a college coachThe next 30-40 minutes: We talk about the Valparaiso Men's Soccer team ending The last 30 minutes: We talk about random aspects of the subjects above Thanks for listening!Support the show (https://www.charitywater.org/donate)
