A former senior diplomat who has advised the White House and the US State Department on geopolitical AI, Joakim brings an "intelligence-grade" perspective to the world of software. In this episode, we move past the AI hype to discuss why the shift to autonomous agents will fundamentally change company operations—and why the institutional "speed of trust" means this revolution will take longer than the markets predict.

There was a lot of news in NASA's Ignition event last week, and I break down what actually matters: not whether Jared Isaacman's timelines are realistic, but how this new roadmap strips away architectural dependencies and forces the real bottlenecks into the open. I talk through Gateway's cancellation, the possible path away from SLS and ICPS, what this means for lunar landers and international partners, and why NASA's new philosophy feels so different from the past. This episode of Main Engine Cut Off is brought to you by 32 executive producers—Steve, Joel, Kris, Josh from Impulse, Will and Lars from Agile, Warren, Natasha Tsakos, Tim Dodd (the Everyday Astronaut!), Lee, Joonas, Better Every Day Studios, Russell, Fred, David, Donald, Frank, Miles O'Brien, Jan, Joakim, The Astrogators at SEE, Stealth Julian, Theo and Violet, Matt, Pat, Ryan, and four anonymous—and hundreds of supporters. In this episode, Alan speaks with Dr Joakim Goldhahn about his journey through archaeology and rock art, from Scandinavia to Australia. Together, they explore the cosmology of Scandinavian burials linked to rock art, as well as the living traditions of rock art in Kakadu National Park and the lifeways of Indigenous Australians. Central to the discussion is a reflection on archaeological responsibility: how working outside these cultural traditions requires humility, accountability, and a commitment to building genuine, impactful relationships with Indigenous peoples and communities.TranscriptsFor a rough transcript head over to: https://www.archaeologypodcastnetwork.com/rockart/159LinksDr Joakim Goldhahn's BiographyIntroduction to Scandinavian Rock ArtKakadu National Park Rock Art‘This is my father's painting': a first hand account of the creation of the most iconic rock art in Kakadu National ParkContactDr. Alan Garfinkelavram1952@yahoo.comDr. Alan Garfinkel's WebsiteSupport Dr. Garfinkel on PatreonArchPodNetAPN Website: https://www.archpodnet.comAPN on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/archpodnetAPN on Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/archpodnetAPN on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/archpodnetAPN ShopAffiliates and SponsorsMotion Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. In his message “Back to the Future” Pastor Joakim Lundqvist reflects on God's faithfulness and looks ahead to all God wants to do in a new year and new season. He reminds us that even in seasons of weeping, God leads His people from strength to strength. God's presence, a rising new generation, and a renewed passion for the lost carry us into the new year, encouraging us to keep moving forward with courage, purpose, and hearts set on pilgrimage.
