Today, Haven Family Care is Avendelle Assisted Living, with 18 locations in North Carolina and Virginia, serving as a bridge between home and skilled nursing care.

Although complete opposites personality wise, they shared core values and found they complemented each other in many ways. Their mutual admiration and love became the foundation where Esther knew together they could accomplish anything. When they moved to Maryland, Esther befriended an elderly, widowed neighbor. Esther's kindhearted nature immediately jumped in to help her neighbor and it wasn't long before Esther knew she had found her calling!
