Luke and I are joined by pro hockey goaltender turned mental health advocate, Ben Meisner. Ben revealed his battle with mental illness and suicide attempt to the world in an article in The Players' Tribune in August 2018. We dive a little deeper into his story, the overwhelmingly positive support he has received and veer off a couple times into hockey and Nova Scotia. I also provide an update on my own mental health. Corey Hirsch spent 15 seasons between the pipes playing professional hockey but he did so while battling obsessive compulsive disorder and depression. Ben Meisner is a professional goalie currently playing in Germany and has battled depression and anxiety for several years. Both men have been very open about their struggles with mental health and have become advocates in creating awareness for the cause.
