At the Beyond Psychedelics conference in Prague in June of 2018, during a tour around Europe in my motorhome, I sat down for a chat with Dr. Bill Richards, Clinical Director for 'States of Consciousness Research' at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine (and 'OG' psychedelic researcher). Bill and his team have been studying Psychedelics at Johns Hopkins since 1999, and are one of the major driving forces in the re-emergence of academic study into Psychedelic compounds and experiences. A world traveler and mycologist, Kilindi has presented on the subject of psilocybin as far north as Norway and as far south as Australia. His exploration and research centers on high-dose psilocybin magic mushrooms. Jonathan and Kilindi met at Psychedemia in 2012, and have appeared together at many conferences around the USA and the world. They are currently both speaking at Beyond Psychedelics in Prague. Join Jonathan and Kilindi as they talk about the role of mushrooms in the secret history of martial arts, about the lessons Kilindi has learned form his 40+ years of symbiosis with the mushrooms, and about why he prefers the title "explorer" over "shaman," "medicine man," or "healer."
