POPULARITY
In this episode, we explore the nuances of losing a loved one, grieving and how it impacts us. We also uncover some of the real threats of the artist's work which is satirical political commentary at its most unnerving in our cultural setting.
On this episode I sit down with Bright Ackwerh, an incredible satirical artist that has many talents! We discuss his background and navigating the Ghana's art industry, censorship and all!
In this episode, I speak with Gafacci, a renowned Ghanaian artist and visionary, whose productions naturally include an adventurous afro twist with strong influences of electronic music. It's in his DNA. His interest in music was nurtured by his father, a former band member of ‘Juju' music legend ‘Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey'. He has earned great recognition among several excellent artists who quickly involved Gafacci in production sessions in and outside Africa. He is also the brain behind the Jowaa project, where he produced several popular tracks including #1 downloaded bass track on Juno in 2017 and toured around the world. He is now experimenting with non-fungible tokens as an NFT crypto artist releasing the first Ghanaian space exploration series starring "Nii" the red cockerel in collaboration with Ghana's renowned satirical artist, Bright Ackwerh. In our conversation, Gafacci shares his journey through the world of cryptocurrencies to crypto art, his creation process and selection of platforms as well as some of the pitfalls. And he and his manager, Yussef, share how Gafacci uses music and technology to advance his philanthropic goals throughout the Diaspora. ***SPONSORED BY ADVANTAGE EVANS™ ACADEMY***NEW! This is the concluding episode of the Art series started last week. The famous artist Leonardo Da Vinci once said, "Art is never finished, only abandoned." Human history has been interspersed with art and the earliest evidence of this is found in caves in Chauvet, whose paintings date about 30,000 years ago. Art is a means of preservation of expression. Right from the times of ancient civilization from Egypt & Mesopotamia, through to the Hellenistic civilization period that permeated the Roman and Greek empires until now with the post-modern movement and digital age, humans have evolved art to better tell their story. Joining us today in the studio are two prolific Ghanaian artists, Bright Ackwerh & Peter Asare to discuss this all-important topic.

April is the month of renaissance and new beginnings. The Purple Month. It's the moment to decide to connect with your true self and be who you really are, like Prince, who left us in April, always did. From Prince to Whitney to Kanye and how being really yourself can attract criticism but also bring new joy to your life. We will also talk about how to help people who are going through painful moments, not to be scared by deep emotions and stop saying you're sorry, especially if you don't mean it. Closing love notes for Bright Ackwerh and Robin Huws.
