Episode #371! With Godzilla VS. Kong now in the theaters and on HBO MAX, we started thinking about other Kaiju films. There maybe other giant monster movies but we are partial to the original, KING KONG. Not quite 5 years ago, Scott Sackett, Barry Burris, Ellis Goodson and DLNelson watched and reviewed the original 1933 classic. Listen as we talk King Kong.
Episode #363! Since Scott and Barry were unavailable, we decided to bring something different to the table. This week's episode is from our other podcast The Classic Cinema Podcast. Episode #318! This week we are observing social distancing by self-quarantining to our personal bunkers. That doesn't stop us from the podcasting though. We are getting together now over the internet to talk COVID-19, comics, painting, movies and whatever else that pops up. Please bear with us with the sound quality at first, it does get better. All that and special guest Ellis Goodson!
Episode #315! This week the gang is back together for plenty of "Cool Stuff". First up Scott tells us about the book "Walt Disney - The Triumph of the American Imagination" by Neal Gabler. Next up, Barry tells us about the "lost" movie "The World, The Flesh and The Devil". DL has a wonderful book full of lost 70's art with "Jack Kirby's Dingbat Love". Returing guest Ellis Goodson shines some light on Showcase Presents Sgt. Rock vol.1 and Hawkman vol.1. Give this episode a listen!
I am joined by artist Ellis Goodson as we talk about appeal. Appeal is the elusive quality that all creators aim for and we discuss what it is and how to capture it.
