On this episode I chatted with Jeremy Rebmann — retired FBI Special Agent, SWAT Sniper Team Leader, and author of Send Me: Chronicles of an FBI Sniper. Over 32 years in service (military + federal law enforcement), working everything from counterintelligence to complex investigations to high-risk operations. Jeremy has lived the intersection of two worlds: the patient, methodical work of building cases that hold up in court — and the fast, high-stakes reality when lives are on the line. His book, Send Me: Chronicles of an FBI Sniper, is available in paperback, hardcover, Kindle, and Audible: https://a.co/d/82suwGH Huge thank you to our sponsors. https://newsongpeople.com/messages/the-secret-strength-of-hidden-workWhat if the quiet, hidden seasons of your life aren't wasted time—but the very place where God is building what you'll need for what's next? Before David ever faced Goliath, he spent years in a field with sheep, unseen and unnoticed. But it was there—in the waiting, in the small battles, in the faithful work no one applauded—that he became the man who could stand before giants. God doesn't just care about getting you there; He cares about getting into you what you're going to need when you get there.

NBA insider Brian Geltzeiler joins the show to break down the Knicks–Spurs series so far and react to Game 3, including New York's frustration with the officiating. Geltzeiler explains why he believes San Antonio played a more physical style, earned the whistles, and made the key adjustments needed to win the game, while also crediting the Spurs for hitting clutch shots down the stretch. He evaluates the Knicks' offense, saying Jalen Brunson may be pressing too much while Karl-Anthony Towns needs to become a bigger focal point for New York to regain control of the series. The conversation also shifts to Giannis trade rumors involving the Heat, with Geltzeiler noting that Milwaukee will prioritize the best package over player preference and mentioning OKC as a potential suitor if the sweepstakes escalate
Hour 4 opens with NBA insider Brian Geltzeiler breaking down the Knicks–Spurs series after Game 3, where New York voiced frustration with the officiating following a physical Spurs win. Geltzeiler explains that San Antonio earned the whistles with a more aggressive style, made key adjustments, and hit timely shots down the stretch, while also critiquing the Knicks' offense, saying Jalen Brunson may be forcing too much and Karl-Anthony Towns needs to be more central to what they do moving forward. The conversation also turns to Giannis-to-Heat trade rumors, with Geltzeiler noting Milwaukee will ultimately prioritize the best return over player preference and mentioning OKC as a potential wild-card team in the sweepstakes. The hour then shifts into a major college football controversy as Joe and Hollywood react to the Brendan Sorsby ruling, questioning how an athlete caught gambling on his own team received such a light punishment and debating who actually enforces rules in today's NCAA landscape. College football insider Brett McMurphy joins to explain why the case has sparked national backlash, how Texas Tech's success and Sorsby's quarterback position magnify the controversy, and why the ruling could still be appealed, before also touching on broader instability in the sport and the unlikely but possible idea of an SEC breakaway or super league.
On this episode I chatted with Master Photographer and artist Heather Beadles about her unique business. Heather started her journey to portraiture long before she picked up a camera. Being the fourth generation Oklahoman to grow up on her family's 1889 Land Run Farm, family legacy is a integral part of her heritage. With a passion to encourage marriages and families, she studied Family Relations and Child Development at Oklahoma State University. After receiving a Master's Degree in Counseling she went on to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. It was about that time that she was given her first “real” camera and the love of capturing faces and stories was born. For over 15 years Heather has been honing her artistic skills in composition, posing, lighting and color harmony. Over time her portraits have evolved from photographs into hand-painted portrait art. By blending the crafts of photography and brush painting, subjects are no longer stuck with an artist's “interpretation” of how they look, and as a result her embellished mixed media portrait paintings have become highly desired by her clients. https://www.beadlesportraits.com/ Huge thank you to our sponsors. 0:00 - The Spurs won Game 3 last night, and NOW, we've got ourselves a series. Sorry, NYC. Wemby spoiled your party at the Garden. Can we stop with the whole NYC Celebrity Row fanfare and glazing? ESPN is acting like the Knicks are the first NBA Franchise to have fans. And by the way Timothee Chalamet and Spike Lee, you're not on the team! Quit acting like it! Jeez. Just WATCH the GAME.16:27 - Sam Presti is a brilliant GM. Don't get it twisted. Look at how he's turned around the Thunder. He built a championship juggernaut with a back-to-back MVP on the roster. But he's also a WHINY LOSER. He addressed the media yesterday, and we genuinely can't believe some of the words he actually spoke into a microphone. 37:07 - Not only did Sam Presti cry about SGA getting criticized on social media, he also played dumb about OKC getting the benefit of the whistle. So he's a whiny dork and also a liar. What a combo! This GUY. Guess what? You just earned the TOP SPOT ON THE LIST. Yes, THE list.
0:00 - OKC Thunder GM Sam Presti addressed the media yesterday and just...where do we even begin? He spewed so much misinformation in like a 30 seconds soundbite. It's hard to fathom. But his end of the season presser confirms one thing: OKC's flopping and foulbaiting and playing the victim culture comes from the top. The VERY top. Always has, always will. 13:14 - The CFP's whole house of card is teetering precariously. If Brendan Sorsby can place 9,000 sports bets, including betting on his own team, transfer schools, be granted another year of eligibility, and all he has to do is serve a 2 game suspension...then what's the point of having rules? The rules are good as garbage at this point. But also, everyone else needs to chill. Bama, Florida, Georgia, all these SEC stalwarts...you can't cry about the sanctity of college football when you spent DECADES tarnishing it with shady backdoor practices. 32:24 - Friend of the program and certified nerd Jake Coyne recently released his ultimate Nuggets bible/manifesto/offseason guide. It's 70 pages! Brett and Moser didn't read it, obviously. Too many word. But Vic looked through it, and as always, it was overflowing with valuable insight.
The Oklahoma City Thunder are entering one of the biggest offseasons in franchise history, and we're breaking down every major storyline.Should Sam Presti package picks #12 and #17 to move up in the NBA Draft? Is Lu Dort's future in Oklahoma City uncertain? Could the Thunder realistically pursue a superstar like Giannis Antetokounmpo, or is running it back with the current roster the smartest move?We also dive into Chet Holmgren's development, Jeremiah McCain's future role, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's influence on roster decisions, and whether OKC is still the team to beat in the Western Conference.Plus, we wrap up the episode with our FIFA World Cup predictions, dark horse nations, and which countries could challenge favorites like Spain, Brazil, France, England, and the Netherlands.Topics Covered:✔ Oklahoma City Thunder offseason✔ Sam Presti roster decisions✔ NBA Draft picks 12 and 17✔ Lu Dort trade rumors✔ Chet Holmgren development✔ Shai Gilgeous-Alexander✔ Jeremiah McCain outlook✔ Giannis trade discussion✔ Thunder championship window✔ FIFA World Cup predictions

Mark Willard and former NFL tackle Ephraim Salaam open this week's show with their thoughts on the NBA Finals through the first two games... With the Knicks up 2-0 in the series, how likely is it that the Spurs could make things interesting? Was Wemby wrong to show so much emotion after beating OKC? Was he wrong to tell reporters things were "blurry" for him down the stretch of game 2? Later, Mark and Ephraim get into the blockbuster NFL trade sending Myles Garrett to the Rams in exchange for Jared Verse and multiple draft picks... How much better did the Rams get? Do we really think Aaron Donald could unretire for one more Super Bowl run? The guys also react to all the latest in the Brandon Aiyuk drama with the 49ers, Baker Mayfield's contract standoff with the Bucs, and more! Plus, more fun with this week's edition of "Three Things".See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

This week on Sports Guyz Only, the guys are all back in the studio and immediately dive into one of the biggest debates in sports: would you choose championships or an extra $60 million? The conversation starts with the NBA Finals and quickly turns into a full-blown discussion about Victor Wembanyama, the Spurs' future dynasty potential, and why some of the crew still can't stand watching OKC basketball. From there, the boys debate whether modern athletes care more about winning or getting paid, using everyone from Anthony Edwards and Jalen Brunson to Damian Lillard and Jeff Teague as examples. Later, the Minnesota sports suffering continues as the crew breaks down the Wild, Vegas' unfair expansion success, the Twins' never-ending frustrations, and one of the most unexpected debates in podcast history: whether the Wild logo is actually a bear, a wolf, or somehow a beaver. Plus: The Knicks' playoff magic and Jalen Brunson's clutch gene Whether Anthony Edwards needs a veteran superstar to challenge him Giannis trade scenarios for the Timberwolves Myles Garrett joining the Rams Aaron Donald unretirement rumors Caleb Williams, the Madden Curse, and NFL offseason chaos As always, it's playoff overreactions, sports therapy, hot takes, and complete nonsense that somehow turns into a sports podcast. It's NBA Finals week, Game 2 is tonight, and the Shoot Around boys are doing exactly what they do on Fridays — talking about everything except the thing you'd expect them to talk about. They kick things off with a listener correction from Twitter — turns out the Coach of the Year who got fired before the award came in was Dwayne Casey, not Lloyd Pierce (Rob was close). From there it's a full dive into the hero-to-villain arc: OKC went from everyone's favorite upstart to the team everyone wanted to see lose, almost overnight. Rob points to the Kansas City Chiefs as the gold standard of that flip — and SGA's habit of spending time on the floor didn't exactly help Oklahoma City's cause this year. Then it's a two-part debate: who should retire and go to the broadcast desk, and who do you wish had kept playing? Russell Wilson heading to the CBS pregame show kicks things off, and the guys run through Draymond, Klay Thompson (Rob thinks he'd surprise people), Mike Trout, and Jameis Winston — who they both agree has a big bag waiting for him somewhere, whether it's Barstool or a network couch next to Shannon Sharpe and Gronk. On the comeback side — Serena Williams is returning to play doubles at the HSBC Championships, which gets them talking about who they'd most want to see suit back up. Rob's answer: Pete Sampras. Casual greatness, no ego, just stroll in and handle business. Brandon picks Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson — two guys who deserved so much better than what Detroit gave them. And then the closer — the hot mic segment that was teased all week on Tuesday's show. LSU pitcher Devin Shearer gets warned by the umps, ESPN gets told to turn the field mics down, ESPN does not turn the field mics down. And then there's the Nebraska-Oklahoma State softball game, where an unidentified voice — still a mystery — delivered what might be the most unexpected phrase ever broadcast live on ESPN. Rob and Brandon's debate about who exactly says "ball sack" at a softball game is genuinely one of the funnier bits they've done. In this episode: OKC's hero-to-villain arc — and the Kansas City Chiefs comparison SGA's foul-baiting and why fans turned on Oklahoma City Russell Wilson heads to CBS — who else should retire and hit the desk? Klay Thompson as a broadcast sleeper pick Jameis Winston's future: Barstool or network TV? The NBA Finals are officially here — and Game 1 already had EVERYTHING. A fan stormed the Frost Bank Center court in the fourth quarter of the Knicks' 105-95 Game 1 win, attempting to take a selfie with Victor Wembanyama. Turned out the perpetrator was a juvenile — now arrested and banned for life from every NBA arena. Meanwhile, Spurs fans gave a standing ovation to Air Corgi — the dog who perfectly picked every WCF game against OKC — only to watch her prediction immediately go wrong as the Knicks took Game 1. Then Channing Frye went viral for all the right reasons, torching the 2005-06 Knicks organization on the Ryen Russillo Show. On the internet culture front: the Rizzler is growing up, Spencer Pratt is running for mayor of LA and somehow winning people over, and AMC just had its biggest May since 2019 — movies are back, baby. Ric explains why Holmgren's struggles were predictable, why comparing him to Victor Wembanyama misses the point, and why media calls for OKC to trade him reveal more about today's hot-take culture than Holmgren's future.Drawing on conversations with Mark Few and Larry Suggs while researching The Value of Being Coachable, Ric explains why Holmgren's track record suggests this playoff disappointment could become the foundation for future growth rather than evidence of failure.Time Stamps00:00 – Why the media reaction to Chet Holmgren feels more like bullying than analysis 02:35 – The dangerous rise of hot-take culture in NBA coverage 04:08 – Why Holmgren's disappointing Game 7 wasn't a surprise 05:05 – The difference between players who learn and players who repeat mistakes 06:20 – Why OKC's investment in Holmgren still makes sense 08:00 – Understanding Holmgren's role in the Thunder offense 10:00 – Why Sam Presti isn't panicking 10:35 – The childhood story that explains who Chet Holmgren really is 12:25 – Why trade proposals involving Holmgren are absurd 13:20 – The hidden challenge of defending an NBA championship 14:40 – Great players who suffered playoff failures before breaking through 17:05 – Why Holmgren isn't built to be a volume scorer 19:40 – The Victor Wembanyama factor nobody is discussing 21:30 – What Holmgren's future really looks like after this setback#NBA #ChetHolmgren #Thunder #OKCThunder #VictorWembanyama #Spurs #NBAPlayoffs #SamPresti #ShaiGilgeousAlexander #OnTheBall #RicBucher #UnitedWeCastSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/bucher-and-friends.
