Chase Sui Wonders has already proven herself a scene-stealing force via titles like Generation and Bodies Bodies Bodies, but 2025 is solidifying her as an undeniable star. In March, she debuted The Studio, an Apple TV+ series in which she stars opposite powerhouses Seth Rogen, Catherine O'Hara, Ike Barinholtz and Kathryn Hahn. Mere days after that show scored a whopping 23 Emmy nominations, Wonders headlines one of the most anticipated movies of the year - the new I Know What You Did Last Summer.Similar to the 1997 original, on July 4, Wonders' Ava and her group of friends go for a drive and stop on the side of the road to watch the fireworks. When one walks into the road, an approaching car swerves to avoid hitting him and veers off the edge of the cliff. Rather than report the incident, the group attempts to sweep it under the rug. And they're confident they've done it until they all regroup next year and come to learn that they're being hunted by a killer who claims, “I know what you did last summer.”With I Know What You Did Last Summer now playing in theaters nationwide, Wonders joined me for a Collider Ladies Night chat to retrace her steps to the film. She looks back on her time studying at Harvard and how booking the role of Riley on HBO Max's Generation wound up being a career game-changer. She also discusses her directing ambitions and what she took from watching Rogen wear multiple hats on the set of The Studio, and then breaks down all the biggest moments of I Know What You Did Last Summer, including sharing scenes with franchise icons Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr., and the movie's third act twists. After a brief hiatus, during which the team from Failure - the Podcast/Innovation Blab/5-Minute Update contemplated their umbilici (think, M.C. Escher), we found ourselves at the Yale University School of Medicine to continue our exploration of the health care system. Our intent was to learn about urban health care from an emergency room perspective, and we had an outstanding guide: Dr. Arjun Venkatesh. He is the Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Yale and a practitioner, as well.Mark and Jeff, avid fans of HBO Max's “The Pitt,” quickly lost the journalist's sense and overwhelmed the good doctor with questions: What is the most realistic TV medical drama? (Yes, The Pitt). Why is actor Noah Wyle an honorary MD? (He isn't, he just plays one on TV). Is The Pitt filmed before a studio audience? (Surprisingly, no). Did Grey's Anatomy use real patients? (Are you kidding?)Finally back on track, the team had a serious discussion with Dr. Venkatesh about health care delivery. “We're not failing like we did in the 1970s,” he said. “But we're not getting what we pay for.” Still, he had a hopeful prognosis of the American healthcare system, albeit one requiring longer-term thinking, centralized coordination, and political will. From Dr. Venkatesh's perspective, the current system is overwhelmed by well-intentioned but disjointed efforts. At his own emergency department, for example, 47 separate quality improvement initiatives were active on a single day—each addressing a different problem, but few seeing completion. One of Dr. Venkatesh's most provocative proposals was a shift from annual insurance cycles to 10- or 30-year health plans. “Right now, insurers only care about your health for three to five years,” he said. “If they had to manage your care for a decade, they'd invest in prevention and long-term outcomes.” He also saw promise in Germany's hybrid model: centralized financing with decentralized delivery.Though Mark and Jeff remained a bit distracted — hoping to get Dr. Venkatesh to offer a second opinion on the diagnosis central to season #1, episode 7 of The Pitt — the good doctor returned to a central theme of our discussion: healthcare is a political decision. From Medicaid expansion to vaccine access, he argued that the system reflects the values and priorities of policymakers. “We made a political choice last week to reduce Medicaid coverage,” he said. “That's not a technical failure. That's a choice.”Join the team from Failure - the Podcast/Innovation Blab/5-Minute Update as we resuscitate ourselves with the kind assistance of a top ER doctor. C.J. Justin Timberlake BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Justin Timberlake is making international headlines this July 2025, both for his thriving music career and a few business tales still making the rounds. Just days ago, Timberlake drew a crowd of 25,000 as the headliner at Lytham Festival in England, delivering a set packed with his greatest hits like Mirrors, Cry Me A River, Senorita, and Can't Stop The Feeling, igniting the audience and reaffirming his enduring appeal as a live performer according to the Blackpool Gazette. Following that electric performance, Timberlake jetted off to another European stage at Luxembourg's Luxexpo Open Air on July 8, where RTL Today shared snapshots of his energetic show.Looking ahead, Timberlake's global presence continues as he's set to headline Lollapalooza in Paris at Hippodrome ParisLongchamp on July 20, 2025, joining an impressive bill that signals his status as a festival draw. But perhaps the most highly anticipated show on his upcoming slate is his Istanbul stop on July 30 at the iconic İTÜ Stadium. News Central Asia reports that Istanbul's arts scene is buzzing with anticipation for his performance, which is part of his ongoing 2025 World Tour. Given the city's dynamic music landscape and Timberlake's setlist of international hits, this concert is expected to be one of the summer's must-see events.Stateside, fans are also abuzz about Timberlake's upcoming gig as a headliner at BottleRock Napa Valley on Memorial Day weekend in 2025. Wave 104 highlights his presence at the top of a multi-genre lineup, cementing Timberlake's appeal across audiences on both sides of the Atlantic. While his concert career is dominating the headlines, Timberlake's business dealings have popped up in a different light on social media. A recent Instagram trend revisited Timberlake's infamous investment in Myspace, serving as a cautionary tale for celebrity business ventures and sparking renewed discussion about the realities behind star-led startups. In entertainment news, Timberlake's past work is also having a streaming renaissance. According to IMDB, his 2011 sci-fi film In Time has been trending on HBO Max, demonstrating his lasting impact not only in music but on screens as well.No major social media controversies or scandals have emerged in recent days, and Timberlake has not been the subject of any fresh public statements or interviews beyond event promotions and fan accounts. There is speculation in the music business press about the ownership and management of his back music catalog, as Merck Mercuriadis' new Hipgnosis venture seeks to repurchase major artist catalogs, including those with Timberlake's hits, but nothing official regarding Timberlake's involvement has been announced. In summary, Justin Timberlake's July is packed with major live performances across Europe, excitement for upcoming U.S. festival appearances, and a side of social media chatter about past business moves—a mix that underlines his multidimensional celebrity and the staying power of his brand both onstage and off.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

In this episode, I speak with filmmaker Rachel Mason about her documentary Last Take*: Rust and the Story of Halyna*, which explores the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust. On October 21, 20221, Alec Badwin, who starred in the film, pulled the trigger on a gun he thought was not loaded, killing Halyna and injuring director Joel Souza. Through the lens of grief, media spectacle, and justice. Rachel, a close friend of Halyna's, offers an intimate perspective on the aftermath of the incident and how it was experienced by those who knew Halyna beyond the headlines. We also talk about Rachel's recent docuseries, An Update on Our Family, which investigates the world of family vlogging on YouTube—particularly the story of Myka and James Stauffer, whose decision to rehome their adopted son sparked public outrage and raised ethical questions about online parenting content. Toward the end of our conversation, Rachel talks about her next project, a collaborative effort to unravel a legendary unsolved murder case in Los Angeles. It's a wide-ranging and thought-provoking conversation that touches on art, ethics, personal loss, and the complexities of telling true stories in a digital age. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. GUEST BIO Rachel Mason is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker. She received an Emmy Nomination for her Netflix Original Documentary Circus of Books, based on her biographical telling of growing up the child of owners of an adult bookstore that was a fixture of the gay community during the height of the AIDS era. In 2025 a series Mason directed called “An Update on Our Family” was released on HBO MAX and has been cited in legal arguments proposing legislation changes regarding children on the internet. Following that, Hulu released the authorized documentary about her friend Halyna Hutchins death on the Alec Baldwin film Rust. She is currently completing a documentary about the murder of a young gay man in 1990 named Billy London, which was until 2022 a cold case. The film is being made independently and has been a volunteer effort from the community, who helped to solve the crime.
