We talk about "The Staircase" on HBO Max, "The First Lady" on Showtime, and "Killing It" on Peacock
This week, we're talking about our new weird friends, who may or may not be from outer space. Maybe they're aliens from a water-starved planet like in The Man Who Fell to Earth on Showtime. Maybe they're an oddly familiar warlike set of aliens like on the premiere of Star Trek Strange New Worlds on Paramount+. Or maybe it's a possibly demonic baby, like in The Baby on HBO Max. 2:18-22:50 TV Diary 23:50-32:20 The Baby (HBO Max) 32:40-39:35 Man Who Fell to Earth (Showtime) 39:35- Star Trek Strange New Worlds (Paramount+)

On December 9th 2001, Kathleen Peterson, a 48-year old executive, wife and mother, was found dead at the bottom of a stairwell at her lavish home in Durham, North Carolina. This incident would set the southern town on fire once it was revealed that local law enforcement suspected her husband , pipe-smoking writer Michael Peterson, of murder. First released as a compelling documentary in 2004 by the same name, HBO Max has gifted us a star-packed mini-series dramatizing not only the incident and the subsequent trial, but also events leading up to Kathleen's demise. On this week's PCP - with return guest Anna Rose - we discuss the case including the dynamics of the blended Peterson family, mysteries of Michael's past and how this dramatization compares to documentary. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/theresa-pedone/message

This month on the show that looks into what's streaming in movies, TV and music, Clint flies solo and talks about his return to a movie theater after more than 2 years only watching films at home! Were the sparks between Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz in THE BATMAN enough to make it worth risking his life??He also reviews STAR TREK: PICARD on Paramount+ and recommends 8 movies streaming now on Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu and HBO Max with a heavy dose of '90s gems, including the unforgettable WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE.All that, plus another classic sitcom gets honored as The Greatest TV Show Theme Song of All Time (this week) and five more songs get added to the Spotify playlist, including tracks from The Judds, George Jones, Tower of Power, Johnny "Guitar" Watson and Perry Como! Getting injured last week has given me the opportunity to work on my mindset around rest, recovery and surrender. It's also given me more time to watch streaming shows and movies and I have recommendations! Netflix has The Lake House and You've Got Mail, Amazon Prime has Lizzo's Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, and HBO Max has Dr. Brene Brown's The Atlas of the Heart. Heartily recommend! Let's join forces (your ears and our opinions) for something amazing and peculiar! This part is so huge, we won't even discuss the plot for either episode we're reviewing this month.Lydia helps bring us into non-theatrical entertainment for the second time -- "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever", also her choice last December, was our very first. But this month is definitely something new, as we cover two great episodes from "Doom Patrol" season 1 -- our first venture into discussions of a serialized streaming show. We'll tell how we first came to the show, discuss the characters in tons of detail, and bring Sean Facts into the mix for trivia and laughs. Indeholder reklame for HBO Max.

The Swedish actor describes himself as "quite a mellow guy." Playing a Viking warrior in the film The Northman gave Skarsgård a chance to tap into his animalistic nature. We talk about being a child actor in Sweden, growing up in a bohemian family, and his roles in Big Little Lies, Succession, and Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" music video. Also, John Powers reviews HBO Max's new drama series The Staircase, inspired by the true crime story and documentary series about the 2001 suspicious death of Kathleen Peterson.
