As far as Ricardos Raphie, a producer/DJ based in Haarlem (The Netherlands), can recall, his interests always had something to do with musicand still does more than ever!What started as a hobby on a friend's attic now grown into a serious way to express his feelings. After five or six years of producingHip-Hop beats for local rappers he decided to change course and fully focus one the Electronic Dance Music (EDM) genre. First just expirimental,minimal bleeps but as soon as he found his niche he took all his gained knowledge and inspiration to turn it into grooving Tech House and Deep Houseproductions that will definitely stimulate you to make your way to the dancefloor. Ricardos Raphie also isn't averse to other styles in music such as Frenchcore (along with Dr. Peacock) and Dubstep. Even though these side projects evoked a lot of positive feedback, he still wanted to follow his heart and kept on giving the Tech House and Deep House heads what they want.Ricardos Raphie released a couple of tracks through various labels so the people started to get a taste of what he is capable of on aninternational level.One thing lead to another. Taking place behind the turntables was just a logical follow-up. That way he can introduce more people to the result of his hard work he did in the (home) studio. Many visitors of different venues and festivals have now experienced the energy of his entertaining live-act.Ricardos Raphie is also the organizer of the succesful events 'Dagelijkse Kost' and 'Grijsdraaiers'. It is our pleasure to present you our guests for June, 05, 2015. Glowrec. Our brother fro the Glowrec. family ZaVen (DJ - Producer) all the way from Heiloo , Netherlands. Sven Dekker, also known as ZaVen is a dj and producer that has been a noticeable figure in the party scene of the Netherlands since 1989. His sound appealed to chillout & lounge lovers. ZaVen was born in 1973 in Alkmaar where he lived for 24 years. At the age of 20, his musical journey started and he walked in with his first set of Technics 1200SL, an amplifier, a Datec Mixer and two big speakers. Though it was a challenging learning experience, through volume restrictions, family complaints and neighbours’ objections, ZaVen refused to quit his learning curve of mixing skills. On the contrary, he persisted his path to creating his own tracks and his own signature sound. He started production on PC programs like Screamtracker and Madtracker. Those tracks were based on styles TripHop and experimental Breakbeat. In 1998, ZaVen moved to a small village called Heiloo where he still resides today. His first gig started in 2001 when he played at an underground party called 'Alice in Wonderland' at 'De Raad' Alkmaar. He presented the crowd with some of his own tracks and others with an underground taste of ambient records. 2005 marked a milestone for ZaVen when his mixing and production talent didn’t stay unnoticed and he was invited to play at prominent festivals, like Dance Valley in the Chill Out area. Following his success, he was inspired to divert from his usual chillout sound and started exploring arising sounds like techno, deep and tech house. This affected his production as he was still using Madtracker, while modern programs like Cubase, Ableton, Pro-Logic were available. People were amazed with what ZaVen could do with trackerprogram in combination with Cool Edit Pro for sampling, yet convinced him that using modern programs will result in much better productions. In 2014, ZaVen started to use Fruity Loops 10 interface and within couple of weeks he got his first demo tracks on Soundcloud. Lucas Fox and DMC World placed his track 'Sky Castle' on 'LFSTyle in Ibiza, vol.1' cd and Glowrec offered ZaVen his first EP 'Roomservice' with 3 tech house tracks. His EP is a combination of warm groovy beats with melodies now known to be a typical ZaVen sound. Glowrec. boss Mice live '74 all the way from Amsterdam , Netherlands for exclusive 2 hours set!! Michel Doornink aka Mies Live ’74 (former alias Mr. Gargoyle) is a Deep/Tech & Techno producer/DJ who is heavily inspired by art, film, music, spirituality, and life itself. These influences have resulted in colourful surrealistic grooves and sounds punctuated with melodic arp and acidlines blended with freaky phatt beats and percussion that are the underlying signature of Mies Live ’74’s style. In May 2013, Michel was approached by two start-up labels to release his tracks. Instead, he decided to start his own label calling it “Glowrec.” Shortly after, artists like Vinyl Mode, Blood’k and Zaven crossed his paths, eventually releasing their music on his label, including Ricardos Raphie who was already a good friend. In September 2013, Mies (under aka Mr. Gargoyle) released his first single “Sucklight Orange” followed by “Hallelujah, Journey!” in November that same year. In 2014, he produced several remixes for artists like Alan Prosser (Element Recordings, UK.), Carlos Pires (Neo Apparatus, Fr.) and Ricardos Raphie (Glowrec., NL). 2015, Mr. Gargoyle became Mies Live ’74 and is putting the final touches to a couple of exciting new releases and pushing well-deserved buttons for a live-set. Also Michel started the company “Tribe”, which is a Label Collective, Bookings Agency & Event/Party Organisation. to promote the global electronic music culture. And it’s already starting out as a great succes, with several party’s, based in Alkmaar, Netherlands.
