This week we're back to reviewing classic albums. But we're doing something a little different this week. We're covering Sonic Youth's 5th album, 1988's "Daydream Nation" This is an album Jacob had never heard before...nor knew existed. His only relationship to this album was seeing the album art displayed on the Simpson's episode where Homer went to Lalapolooza, lol. So with that said Jacob had a week to see if he even liked this or not and Art did MOST of the heavy lifting with the research this week. This album is widely regarded as one of the greatest albums ever made. Many music critics gave it a perfect score and one magazine even named it the BEST album of the 1980's. I (Jacob speaking) don't know about any of that but Art agrees. So with out further ado ....."Daydream Nation" As always follow us on the stuff Merch Store- http://tee.pub/lic/doEoXMI_oPI Patreon- https://www.patreon.com/Artandjacobdoamerica Website- https://artandjacobdoamerica.com/ Network- https://podbelly.com/ Instagram- https://www.instagram.com/artandjacobdoamerica YouTube Channel- https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0rT6h3N2pWtlkxaqgIvaZw?view_as=subscriber Twitter- https://twitter.com/ArtandJacobDoA1 Facebook- https://www.facebook.com/artandjacobdoamerica/ ALSO! Sadly, this fresh cup of drip coffee was left out for five months or so. I (Jacob) procrastinated editing this episode for way too long! I will be brewing a fresh pot after I arrive home from Alaska at the end of the summer. This is one of the most obscure passages in all of the Bible. Jacob had spent his entire life wrestling against others to get the upper hand for himself. That is, until he finally meets a mysterious antagonists who changes everything, including Jacob. Listen as Pastor David walks through the text to show…I- Jacob's State/Situation(vs 22-24a)II- Jacob's Struggle(24b-26)III-Jacob's Surrender(v27)IV- Jacob's Success(v28-32)
After 3 months we are back with another crappy episode because I (Jacob) is a pos and cant get episodes out on time. Not a lot of rugby talk, but hey its been a while.
We are STOKED to have Mariah Morgenstern, the founder of New Royalty Films, on Inside The RV! Since moving to LA in 2018 she has grown her career tremendously, while helping others grow their careers in the process. Mariah talks about her come up, working in film, and much more about her mindset and development in this episode. Plus, it was her first time inside an RV and we're honored to be apart of that. This is a new segment of the Legacy Cast where I Jacob come to talk about a topic once a week. The topic that I will be going over is something I am passionate about which is bowling. This series will be going over the basics of bowling and how to start up when first getting into the game. These first few episodes will be based in getting your starting equipment. Thank you for listening.
I (Jacob) took a week off watching any comedy and instead binge watched a series about making knives. I love knife.
Three dentists talk teeth, fractures, good times and bad. Dr Richard Eilenberg shares his wisdom while Dr's John Malcolm and Jacob Grieve chip in with wet-fingered logic on the topic. Richard and I (Jacob) are presenting this course on the 22 June 2018, and give a teaser of the content to be covered, as well as some giveaway clinical tips and experience. We talk on: when to intervene and how to manage risk when covering informed consent pre-operatively. The first episode of the It's Irrelevant Podcast, where Ted and I (Jacob), play a game called 'Nuclear Winter', discuss noodles, and each others pronunciations (mine obviously being wrong).
We apologize for the hiatus of the Podcast. We missed James last time and it didn't feel right continuing the cast without him. Anyways, we talk about why missed out of awesome casting on the podcast, which ironically involves healthcare and we talked about one of our friend's obsession of Obama. Don't worry though, it wasn't all bad news. James and I (Jacob) whipped out their cell phones where they store jokes they jot down when they aren't sober. But of course we had beer that we should tell you about. BOULDER BEER Awesome labels, cool names and a wide variety of styles from Boulder, Colorado's oldest craft beer brewery. I am ashamed to say I have visited Colorado three times and have not been to Boulder Beer's Brewery. The longer you live the more items end up on your bucket list. Ain't nobody got time for that, all I have time for is trying out craft beers and making people laugh. http://www.beersandlaughs.com Twitter Song: New Found Glory - Boulders
