Für viele Kinder ist Tobi Krell der Größte. Weil er als „Checker Tobi" seit 13 Jahren im TV und in Kinofilmen Sachen rausfindet – vom Weltraum bis zur Steinzeit. Wie würdet ihr einem Kind erklären, was der Holocaust ist? Warum Menschen ins Gefängnis müssen? Oder wie ein Knochen funktioniert? Ich wäre da erstmal ziemlich blank - im Gegensatz zu Tobi Krell. Als “Checker Tobi” erklärt er im Bayerischen Rundfunk, auf YouTube, Tourbühnen und in Podcasts die Welt. Er ist zu einem der größten Stars für Kinder in Deutschland geworden: Manche Checker Tobi-Folgen sind alleine auf YouTube elf, zwölf Millionen Mal angeklickt worden. Während Tobi ALLES zu wissen scheint, wissen wir über ihn - gar nicht so viel?! Das ändert sich aber mit dieser Folge. Wir haben darüber gesprochen, warum Tobi mal Spagat konnte, wie er mit Fake News oder aufdringlichen Eltern umgeht und wie man sich auch als Erwachsener eine kindliche Neugierde bewahren kann. Ardie Davis aka Remus Powers, Ph.B. is a 2016 Barbecue Hall of Fame member in the celebrity/humanitarian category.  Ardie is a founder of the American Royal Barbecue Sauce Contest which is the world's largest sauce contest.  He is a charter member of the KCBS, instrumental in the development of the Certified Barbecue Judge curriculum, and author of the oath recited by each judge prior to judging a contest.  Ardie has written numerous BBQ books.  He has also been interviewed by the History Channel regarding barbecue, on more than one occasion.  In 2003 he was named a Kansas City Barbecue Legend by the The Kansas City Star. Ray Sheehan is no stranger to awards as he has been writing award winning cookbooks and producing a lineup of award winning sauces and rubs over the last several years.  His latest achievement is his induction into the prestigious Order of the Magic Mop.  The ceremony was led by Barbecue Hall of Famer Ardie Davis, who presented Ray with the symbolic Magic Mop in recognition of his contributions to the betterment of barbecue and humankind, and his ongoing efforts to promote youth involvement in barbecue.  The mop was signed by Ardie Davis and Carolyn Wells, as well as being marked “XX for Chef Paul Kirk.” The mop, made by the late Mr. Gattuso, is believed to be the last of its kind, crafted with an olive wood handle, high-quality Egyptian cotton head, stainless steel wire, and a stainless steel nail.  For more information on Ray Sheehan and his products go to https://www.raysheehan.com/ David Krell is an author and baseball historian.  He joins us once again as he discusses his new book, Bo Belinsky:  The Rise, Fall and Rebound of a Playboy Pitcher.  Belinsky's story is fascinating.  He began in the minor leagues in the mid–1950s, gained a spotlight with a no-hitter for the Angels during his rookie season, and endured severe ups and downs. Along the way, he dated the most famous actresses in America, including Mamie Van Doren, Connie Stevens, and Tina Louise.  Fans did not know about the disastrous effect of Belinsky's alcoholism and drug abuse. This video was previously uploaded to Youtube.Watch me spend more time than the entire length of Abigail Thorn's video explaining why it is a superficial hit piece based on strained, bizarre arguments and outright false information. There are many "creative omissions" in Philosophy Tube's video, "Was Nietzsche Woke?": rather basic information about Nietzsche's life and his ideas is left out that would completely one's view of the information presented. In this rebuttal, we'll look at the statements in Nietzsche's own published works in Human, All Too Human (1878), Daybreak (1881), The Gay Science (1882), Beyond Good & Evil (1886) Ecce Homo (1888) & Twilight of Idols (1888) as well as selections from Nietzsche's letters, his essays, and unpublished notes assembled in Will to Power. Philosophy Tube's video relies almost entirely on secondary sources and clearly does not derive from a direct engagement with the actual texts. While I actually have read all of the primary source material, I also reference the following secondary sources in this video:The Legend of the Anti-Christ: A History by Stephen J. Vicchio (2009)Nietzsche, Philosopher, Psychologist, Antchrist by Walter Kaufmann (Fourth Edition, Princeton University Press, 1974)Nietzsche's Women: Beyond the Whip by Carol Diethe (2013, De Gruyter)I was also informed in my study by the biographies provided by Krell & Bates, as well as Curtis Cate and the work of Charlie Huenemann. Stephen Hicks' book, Nietzsche and the Nazis, while I disagree with it on many points, was also helpful in elucidating the difference between Nietzsche's view of Christianity versus that of the Nazis. Also, Robert Solomon helped contextualize the common views around eugenics in 19th century Europe.
