In this episode we dive into how our relationship with “aging” has evolved, ways that age is represented in mainstream media (why is every “mom” played by a 25 year old??), and more. Christine has a passion for justice, and together with her husband, Nick, founded the anti-human trafficking organization, The A21 Campaign, which received The Mother Teresa Memorial Award for Social Justice in 2017. In 2015, they founded Propel Women, an organization designed to honor the calling of every woman, empower her to lead, equip her for success, and develop a sense of purpose. Christine and her family make their home in Southern California. Christine has been one of the most requested guests for me to have on The Happy Hour, and I am so excited for you guys to hear the show today. Christine's passion is contagious, and I know you will be encouraged, energized, and inspired! Christine and I start off talking about what it means to speak truth in love, and how proclaiming the truth with boldness should not be out of the ordinary. Christine shares her story including how, at 33, she found out she was adopted, and the impact of enduring 12 years of abuse. She vividly describes the moment when Jesus began the transformation of her life. She says, "Jesus saved my soul...the Word renewed my mind and changed my life." Christine and I then talk about how our lives look when we live with an orphan spirit instead of truly believing our identity as daughters of a king. We talk about how we react to the unexpected shows truth about our faith. She reminds us as we all face hurt and troubles in our life that what Jesus did for us is bigger than what people have done to us - Jesus is better! You guys, there is so much good stuff in this show that you'll want to jot down - so grab your pen and paper and get ready to hear some powerful truths! {You can listen to the show HERE.
