They Want You To Drink Beyond Meat

Eat! Drink! Smoke!

This week on Eat Drink Smoke, Tony and Fingers review the Stoic Equanimity Justice, a hefty 6x52 cigar with an Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper, Dominican Criollo 98 binder, and a flavor profile that brings spice, cedar, earth, richness, and a truly ridiculous amount of heft. It is the kind of cigar that makes you wonder whether you should smoke it or use it to break out of a locked car. The drink this week is Jacob's Pardon Small Batch American Whiskey Batch #2, coming in at 109.3 proof. Tony and Fingers find vanilla, brown sugar, oak, butterscotch, a little heat, and enough flavor to make it a serious contender for the year-end list. Also on the show: Beyond Meat wants to become a protein drink company. Is that a smart pivot, or should they lean into brisket-flavored beverages and shock the world? Tony and Fingers talk summer foods, ribs, grilling, watermelon feta orzo salad, frozen grapes, and why kale should maybe just go directly into the trash. Plus, bourbon layoffs continue as the industry faces a serious slowdown. Is it tariffs, changing drinking habits, GLP-1 drugs, oversupply, or all of the above? The guys break it down. And in News of the Week: the 2027 Masters ticket lottery is open, the White House Correspondents Dinner has been rescheduled, and the FCC says you may want to turn off Bluetooth when you are not using it. Light up, pour a drink, and enjoy another episode of Eat Drink Smoke. Find everything at EatDrinkSmokeShow.com.

DOCKET ALERTS:   Never one to let a good crisis go to waste, Republicans are insisting that the lone gunman at the White House Correspondents Dinner means that Trump can — in fact, must! — build his illegal ballroom. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche tweeted out a demand for the National Historic Trust to drop its lawsuit. The Trust told him to get bent.     Trump's shakedown of the IRS hit a snag as a federal judge in Florida said she may not have jurisdiction over a case where the plaintiff and the defendant are the same person — Donald Trump.   And EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin is being so weird at Congress. Is he bad at law, or just lying?   MAIN SHOW:    It's a courtroom brawl between Elon Musk and Sam Altman over the past and future of AI. Musk claims he was swindled out of seed money by claims that OpenAI would be operated as a non-profit, only to watch the company pivot to a trillion-dollar for-profit enterprise. The jury is empaneled, and the trial begins this week.     The Supreme Court heard oral argument Monday in Chatrie v. US. The case involves law enforcement's use of "geofencing" data to find criminal suspects based on their cell phone location data. Should the government have to get a warrant to collect that info? What should those warrants look like?   Court Side-Eyes Trump's Plan To Sue Himself And Loot The Treasury https://www.lawandchaospod.com/p/court-side-eyes-trumps-plan-to-sue   Shuffle Up And Deal [Subscriber Bonus Episode] https://www.patreon.com/posts/ep-subscriber-up-156633231   Musk v. Then, they discuss Sen. Bernie Sanders' (D-VT) proposal for a sovereign wealth fund that would take ownership of half the stock in major American AI firms. Also, they chat about President Trump signing an executive order that's designed to make AI companies submit new models for government review, and AI firms pouring money into house elections supporting candidates of both parties who favor federal over state regulation of the industry. Next, they discuss last night's firing of long-time correspondent Scott Pelley from the CBS News program “Sixty Minutes.” And finally, they talk about the White House Correspondents Dinner which is rescheduled for July 24th and this time President Trump says he will attend. Welcome to Last Call, a look at the biggest stories Jim and Greg covered over the past week on the 3 Martini Lunch. This week, Jim was away and his National Review colleague Charles C.W. filled in for three days. This week, Charlie and Greg highlight he Trump administration's escalating crackdown on Medicare and Medicaid fraud, the dangerous Democratic push to expand the U.S. Supreme Court, the disturbing number of people who think the Trump assassination attempts were staged, and North Korea's new nuclear policy.First, Charlie and Greg applaud Vice President JD Vance and CMS Director Mehmet Oz for taking a tougher stance against Medicare and Medicaid fraud. The administration announced it is deferring $1.3 billion in Medicare reimbursements to California over concerns the state is failing to combat fraud effectively. Vance warns other states could face similar consequences, while Oz explains the huge benefits we could see from greatly reducing fraud.Next, Charlie goes deeper into his condemnation of Democrats openly plotting to expand the U.S. Supreme Court by enough seats to give the left a likely majority. Charlie explains why he believes that would be the most damaging event to our constitutional order since the Civil War.Then, they're horrified that a third of Democrats believe the attempted White House Correspondents Dinner shooting was staged. And even more of them believe the shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania - where Trump actually got shot - was staged. Charlie and Greg discuss the relentless conspiracies in our politics and whether there's a way to reverse the trend. Finally, they comment on North Korea's new law that if another nation kills or incapacitates Kim Jong-Un, North Korea would "automatically and immediately" launch nuclear weapons. Please visit our great sponsors:CalotrenIf you're looking for the missing piece-Calotren is it. Today's Headlines: The Iran ceasefire is on "massive life support" per Trump, while Iran's foreign minister insists their latest proposal was reasonable — and the administration responded by sanctioning 12 companies helping ship Iranian oil to China, days before Trump flies to Beijing to meet Xi Jinping, where that will definitely not be awkward. This is further complicated by reports that China was preparing to deliver new air defense systems to Iran last month, meaning both China and Russia are now actively supporting Iran, great. On the Hantavirus front, 18 Americans from the cruise are back in the US, at least 2 appear infected, and the other 16 are being monitored at a federally funded biocontainment facility in Nebraska — the WHO still says global risk is low and this is not another COVID. In other news, Trump's plan to paint the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool "American flag blue" was quoted at $1.8 million — it's actually $13.1 million, no other contractors were allowed to bid, and the justification was that delays would cause "serious injury to the government." Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy filmed a road trip reality show visiting historic landmarks, which a watchdog group alleges was sponsored by Toyota, Boeing, and United Airlines — companies he's supposed to regulate — through a conveniently named nonprofit funded by auto companies. Meanwhile, Republican Rep. Max Miller was accused in court filings of throwing boiling water on his ex-wife while their 2-year-old was present — also not his first abuse accusation, having previously been accused of assault by then-White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham in 2020. Texas sued Netflix for spying on children, collecting user data without consent, selling viewing habits to data brokers, and designing the platform to be addictive — Netflix says the lawsuit lacks merit. The guy who stormed the White House Correspondents Dinner pleaded not guilty, with his attorneys arguing that both acting AG Todd Blanche and Jeanine Pirro should recuse themselves since they were both at the dinner. And finally, NBC is launching a Wordle game show hosted by Savannah Guthrie and Jimmy Fallon.  Resources/Articles mentioned: AP News: Passengers from virus-stricken cruise ship fly to home countries for monitoring CNN: Live updates: Trump says ceasefire with Iran on ‘massive life support' after he rejects Tehran's proposal NYT: Reflecting Pool Repairs to Cost $13.1 Million. Trump Had Promised $1.8 Million Reuters: Netflix sued by Texas for allegedly spying on children, addicting users The Hill: Watchdog group asks Transportation IG to probe Duffy's ‘road trip' with family Yahoo: MAGA Congressman Accused of Beating and Burning His Ex-Wife AP News: Man charged in White House correspondents' dinner attack pleads not guilty NYT: Wordle to Become Prime-Time TV Show, With Savannah Guthrie as Host Subscribe to the Betches News Room and join the Morning Announcements group chat. National Review Senior Editor Charles C.W. Cooke, who also hosts the Charles C.W. Cooke Podcast, fills in for Jim on Tuesday's 3 Martini Lunch. Join Charlie and Greg as they break down the Democrats' latest overt attacks on our courts, Congress considering a federal gas tax holiday, the disturbing number of people who think the Trump assassination attempts were staged, and North Korea's new nuclear policy.First, they react to California Gov. Gavin Newsom accusing the U.S. Supreme Court of exercising "raw power politics" and raising questions about its legitimacy because the justices allowed Alabama to change its congressional map. Meanwhile, House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries is vowing "massive" judicial reforms if Democrats get back in power. Charlie explains what's really happening here.Next, there's a movement in Congress to suspend the federal gas tax for 90 days. Charlie explains why he sees this more as a gimmick than a solution to high prices. But he also reveals why he's glad to see Congress doing this even though he opposes the bill. Then, they're horrified that a third of Democrats believe the attempted White House Correspondents Dinner shooting was staged. ALSO:  Wondering the purpose of holding a White House Correspondents Dinner with a president that despises and denigrates the media.  And Republicans are, with a straight face, screaming “partisanship” at Virginia’s ballot initiative that may give the Commonwealth’s Democrats, four additional congressional seats. Plus, they examine the latest twist in Al Gore's climate change charade.First, Jim and Greg break down Gov. Janet Mills dropping out of the Maine U.S. Senate race, a move that all but hands the nomination to Platner. They revisit the disturbing controversies tied to Platner and highlight how aggressively Mills had previously criticized him.Next, they react to a federal grand jury returning two felony indictments against Comey tied to his “8647” Instagram post last year. Comey now faces charges of threatening to kill President Trump and then distributing that threat through social media. Jim and Greg have no love for Comey, but they explain why this prosecution is likely to fail. Then, they focus on the would-be shooter and his manifesto. And Jim and Greg are stunned as Barack Obama and others on the left claim the motive was unknown long after the manifesto had already been released. Finally, they get a good laugh as former Vice President Al Gore, after decades of warning about the supposedly catastrophic effects of global warming, is now sounding the alarm in the opposite direction. Please visit our great sponsors:Fast Growing TreesBetter plants, better growing, and an extra 20% off with code MARTINI at https://FastGrowingTrees.com/Martini for a limited time; terms and conditions may apply.Noble GoldSchedule a free gold strategy session with Noble Gold. This week, the President AND the press came under attack. After an attempted shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner, the Trump administration was quick to blame the media and threaten ABC over a joke that hurt their feelings. On this episode, Alex speaks to Brian Stelter, CNN's Chief Media Analyst, about the chaos in the Washington Hilton and the FCC's unprecedented threats against networks. Then Alex speaks to Simon Ostrovsky, a special correspondent for PBS NewsHour, who recounts his harrowing capture in Ukraine in 2014 while reporting and talks about the need for the press to push back against Trump's insults. Finally, Alex is joined by Clayton Weimers, Executive Director of Reporters Without Borders, USA, to talk through the release of the World Press Freedom Index which shows that journalism is under threat globally.

Jimmy Kimmel cracked a joke about Melania Trump having "the glow of an expectant widow." Twenty-four hours later, a lunatic walked into the White House Correspondents Dinner ballroom carrying a shotgun, a handgun, and multiple knives. The President himself called it a "despicable call to violence" — and demanded Disney and ABC fire Kimmel immediately. Was this a coincidence — or the predictable end point of a decade of "fascist" rhetoric? Lance Wallnau breaks down the Kimmel monologue, the 24-hour timeline that followed, and the corporate pressure campaign closing in on Disney — because ABC may be wicked, but Mickey Mouse has a brand to protect. Why did Kimmel's joke land 24 hours before a man with a shotgun? In this episode: - The exact Kimmel "expectant widow" line — and Trump's full Truth Social response - Why Lance says Disney will fold even though ABC won't - The 3 assassination attempts on Trump in 2 years (and the 4th and 5th nobody's counting) - Karoline Leavitt's stunning supercut of Democrat officials calling for "war" against Trump - The Steve Turley reel: a decade of cable news calling the President a fascist - Ephesians 4:26-27 and the "demonic door" the left has walked through - Why Trump fits the Isaiah 45 Cyrus prophecy — and why that drives the left insane - Captain Seth Keshel on the Virginia referendum anomalies (150,000 mail-in ballot margin) - The Voting Rights Act ruling that could redraw the South red - Captain Seth Keshel's 39 decisive seats — and what 92 years of midterm history says about 2026 This isn't a political take. It's a pattern — and the pattern is accelerating. Podcast Episode 2105: Kimmel Said It. A Lunatic Tried It. Now Disney Has to Answer for It. | don't miss this! As King Charles's high-stakes visit collides with Trump's ego and obsession with optics, the contrast between royal discipline and White House dysfunction becomes impossible to ignore, especially against the backdrop of a White House Correspondents Dinner thrown into literal and political turmoil. With assassination scares reframed as political currency, media missteps fueling Trump's grievances, and a presidency increasingly defined by chaos as strategy, Wolff reveals a West Wing gripped by anxiety, miscalculation, and a growing sense that everything—from foreign policy to late-night comedy—is spiraling in ways no one can fully control. White House Correspondents Dinner Shooting Was A TOTAL SET-UP!

The Jimmy Dore Show

Suspicion is widespread that the shooting incident outside the White House Correspondents' Dinner was a "stage-managed" false flag operation engineered by deep state operatives to justify construction of Trump's $400 million White House ballroom, which a federal judge had halted weeks earlier unless for "national security" purposes—and indeed, Trump immediately cited the incident to demand the ballroom.  Jimmy and Americans' Comedian Kurt Metzger point to a series of anomalies from the event: Secret Service evacuated JD Vance first while Trump remained seated for nearly 20 seconds, violating protocol that the president must be protected above all else; a Fox News caller was cut off mid-sentence after revealing a warning about "people" in the room; and the shooter's lone tweet from 2023 simply said "Cole" before the attack.  Jimmy notes that the shooter—a Caltech teacher of the year with no criminal record—abruptly opened fire on security personnel when he was hundreds of yards from the president, behavior consistent with MK Ultra mind control programming. He further connects the ballroom's architectural firm (Shalom Barness Associates) to synagogue and temple renovations, and Trump's Bible reading of 2 Chronicles 7 about temple dedication, suggesting the ballroom is designed to resemble Solomon's Temple as part of a Third Temple project. Plus segments on an ex-Seal Team 6 member calling BS on the Charlie Kirk assassination narrative, Dan Bongino insisting that a huge revelation is coming from Kash Patel and Donald Trump, Russian plans to take over major cities in Urkaine and Israel's plans to dominate the Middle East. Also featuring Stef Zamorano, Larry Johnson and Professor Jiang!

SEASON 4 EPISODE 82: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (3:00) SPECIAL COMMENT: Call me a cynic but I am beginning to get a sense that you may have some doubts about this Not-An-Assassination Attempt at The White House Correspondents Dinner. Well - that's what it was. Or in this case, what it wasn't. The acting attorney general says the alleged perp quote “was stopped before he got anywhere near the President.” So, NOT an assassination attempt, per the attorney general. But of course the White House is still trying to sell it as one (its 'protocol director' insists it was "the hand of God" again; its deputy chief of staff tried to start another 'USA!' chant after the incident). Even though proximity is the definition of such a nightmare scenario. Saturday Night? Obama had 15 of those. Still, among my fellow Americans who are NOT in the Trump Mass Hypnosis Cult, I may be in the minority because I DON’T think it was staged. Why are you so cynical? Just because an hour beforehand Karoline Leavitt told Fox quote “There will be some shots fired tonight!” That’s a coincidence. Just because Trump has gone insane about his quote “militarily top secret ballroom” and the next thing you know he’s GOING to a ballroom and after that the Secret Service screws up security AT the ballroom and after THAT he’s holding a press conference saying this is WHY he needs that ballroom and all his sock puppets are tweeting about the ballroom. Coincidence! Just because Trump and his filth have lied to you about every THING, every DAY, for 11 years… that’s no reason for you to think that was STAGED. It’s a coincidence! It’s all a coincidence. ALSO: for God's sake stop saying there's no room for violence in American politics and we don't resolve our differences this way! Certainly we all wish that were true. But in point of fact there's room for almost nothing BUT violence in American politics! Ask JFK, Reagan, Teddy Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, Garfield, Lincoln, McKinley, dozens of others! What was the Civil War if not political violence? B-Block (28:00) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: The Staten Island cop who has reportedly amassed more than 500 speeding tickets, and last year averaged one every other day. Jeff Bezos' Washington Post will only print a letter to the editor responding to its editorial if the authors take out the references TO Jeff Bezos. And Tom Cotton makes a hilarious mistake: Iran will meet its match not on the battlefield but at the bargaining table because it's never faced the author of "Art Of The Deal." Who's gonna tell him? C-Block (41:00) MONDAYS WITH THURBER: We need a break from media people talking about themselves so let's drop "Things I Promised Not To Tell" and instead read you his wonderful, weird, slightly spooky "The Black Magic Of Barney Haller." President Trump sat down with 60 minutes less than 24 hours after a gunman tried to storm the White House Correspondents Dinner this weekend. Trump got testy when Norah O’Donnell read part of the gunman’s manifesto that explained his reasoning for trying to kill Trump administration officials, which included a reference to a “pedophile, rapist and traitor.” The President also described the moments he and the fist Lady were whisked off the stage and praised his security team for their quick actions.
