In the capitol, David Panush is known as a longtime staffer and top-level expert on health care policy - usually one of our first calls when getting background on a convoluted healthcare story - but after dark he sheds the coat and tie and heads up a rock group called Remedy 7 (even the band name is healthcare-related!) The other members of the group are an eclectic mix, including a lobbyist, a water policy wonk and an Assembly chief of staff. David sat down with Capitol Weekly's John Howard and Tim Foster (who has played in more than a few rock and roll bands) to talk about mixing work and pleasure, and how his policy work inspired one of the group's best tunes. Remedy 7 have just released a CD of original songs and will be holding a record release party at Old Ironsides on March 21. More details here: https://www.r7sacramento.com

French-Swiss stop motion and sweet children await the Panush siblings in this episode.
Clark and Charles go to San Francisco, where Clark is hired by Emperor Norton to stop a acquatic monster rampaging through the city's dock. But there's more to the sea monster than meets the eye.
When a mysterious, otherworldly flying ship crashes in the outskirts of Roswell, New Mexico, circus showman P.T. Barnum hires several bounty hunters, including Clark Reeper, to bring back whatever's inside. But they aren't the only ones on the trail. Clark will find himself battling with aliens, circus freaks, and men dressed like undertakers on the treacherous road to Roswell.
In the first story, Clark follows the trail of an outlaw automaton to the town of Dead Man's Gulch. He'll encounter the walking dead, Lakota magic, and boy who will become his adopted son.
When gargantuan insects, demonic fiends, creatures from other worlds and worse are terrorizing the West, Clark Reeper is the bounty hunter to call. The West’s Wildest bounty hunter and his ten-year-old bespectacled, adopted son, Charles Green, travel across the North American continent, encountering famous personages, occult occurrences, and adventure of all kinds. From the dense jungles of the Yucatán Peninsula, to the Coney Island Midway, to the sun-blasted badlands of Texas, to the gothic avenues of New Orleans, all the way to the boomtown of Deadwood, Clark Reeper and Charles Green find the Good, the Bad, and the Weird of the Wildest West imaginable. In the first story, Clark Reeper ventures to Dead Man's Gulch encounters intelligent machines, the living dead, Lakota magic, and a boy who will become his adopted son.
