Welcome to Day Four of our Sturgis trip, which also happened to be Chris's birthday—making it an extra special one! Today was a little less about riding and a lot more about soaking up the atmosphere in Sturgis and Deadwood. We kicked things off by cruising down the legendary Main Street in Sturgis, weaving through rows of motorcycles lined up for the rally. From there, we explored the Harley shop and browsed the countless vendors and local spots that make the town buzz with energy this time of year.In the afternoon, we rolled over to historic Deadwood, where we visited Saloon No. 10—the iconic spot tied to Wild Bill Hickok's story—along with other famous landmarks scattered throughout the town's lively streets. After heading back to our Airbnb to freshen up, we dove right back into the action for the evening. Between Sturgis and Deadwood, we got to experience the nightlife, the music, and the unforgettable energy that makes this trip one for the books.

Thinking about visiting Sturgis, South Dakota? We spent a month there and saw so much. Parking our RV right above downtown gave us a front-row seat to the energy of the rally town. Day trips to Deadwood are a must if you want to catch live Old West shootouts, while drives along the Needles Highway deliver jaw-dropping granite spires and tunnels you won't forget. Of course, no visit is complete without seeing the iconic Mount Rushmore or experiencing a day at the Full Throttle Saloon—the largest biker bar in the world. For nature lovers, Custer State Park offers incredible wildlife encounters (watch for bison herds blocking the road), and the Badlands will leave you in awe with its otherworldly landscapes. If you're there in July, don't miss the Fourth of July fireworks over downtown—it's unforgettable. We also share what it's like to experience Sturgis outside of the rally, make new friends along the way, and how I found the courage to perform my first solo show since my health scare.

This newly released middle-grade book features Clare, an undead fox who ushers wandering animal souls to the afterlife realms of peace, pleasure, progress, and pain in the perpetual autumn setting of Deadwood Forest. Clare lives a solitary life, meticulously tending to his mushroom garden and enjoying his tree sap tea, until a badger named Gingersnipes arrives and disrupts his routine. My guest this week is Angie Zhao. Born and raised in Richmond, Angie was a VCU English major and has spent the past four years working as an Events and Marketing Manager at a children's bookstore in Richmond. When she's not planning author events and school visits, she loves visible mending, making jewelry for her friends, trail running, and, of course, getting lost in a good story. A lover of books for both children and adults, Angie is drawn to clever, form-bending tales and writing that finds magic in the mundane.Clare's favorite drink is his tree sap tea; we created this using black tea, maple syrup, and peaches since we recorded in the summer. With the 2025 Reboot having its premiere this week, the Roxy & Coy are BACK for I STILL KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER Reaction, Recap, Commentary, Analysis & Full Spoiler Review!! Roxy Striar and Coy Jandreau dive into the sun-drenched horror of I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998), the chilling slasher sequel to the 1997 hit. Directed by Danny Cannon, the film follows Julie James (Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ghost Whisperer, Party of Five) as she tries to move on from the terrifying events of the first movie—only to find that the hook-wielding killer is still haunting her life. When Julie and her best friend Karla (Brandy, Moesha, Cinderella) win an all-expenses-paid trip to a secluded island resort, the vacation quickly spirals into another blood-soaked nightmare. Returning alongside Julie is Ray (Freddie Prinze Jr., She's All That, Scooby-Doo), who suspects the contest is a setup. New faces include Karla's boyfriend Tyrell (Mekhi Phifer, 8 Mile, Dawn of the Dead), the creepy resort manager Mr. Brooks (Jeffrey Combs, Re-Animator), the oddball porter Estes (John Hawkes, Winter's Bone, Deadwood), and Jack Black (School of Rock, Jumanji) in a stoner cameo that's become a cult favorite. Muse Watson (NCIS, Prison Break) returns as the menacing Ben Willis, seeking revenge for his past. This sequel features several highly searched and infamous scenes, including the stormy resort massacre, the tanning bed suspense sequence, and Julie's iconic "I will survive!" scream. With tropical isolation, rising body counts, and a twist ending, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer amps up the slasher stakes while revisiting the trauma of its predecessor. This special Thursday edition of OnlyLands is a whirlwind of rants, nostalgia, and wild tangents. The hosts kick off by roasting SitRep's no-show and joking about XRP shilling before launching into a spontaneous promo for the Great American Restoration Tour in Deadwood. From there, it's an anything-goes marathon covering everything from the Mandela Effect, like the group's collective memory of Stouffer's Stove Top Stuffing that apparently never existed, to theories about AI's uncanny ability to rewire reality. The panel swaps hilarious horror stories about dead bodies, foot phobias, and bizarre funeral mishaps, then pivots to darker territory, questioning whether government psyops and state capture are so deeply entrenched that true transparency is impossible. Other highlights include a spirited debate about the Kennedy dynasty, the potential downfall of AI like Grok, Tom Hanks' curious movie choices, and the pervasive idol worship of politicians. With irreverent humor, skeptical deep-dives, and plenty of sidebars, this episode is equal parts stand-up therapy session and a sharp critique of a culture obsessed with TV characters and feel-good narratives.

In this episode of The Daily Herold, Jon Herold covers breaking news that the DOJ has launched criminal investigations into John Brennan and James Comey over misconduct tied to the Trump-Russia probe. Jon walks listeners through the timeline of how the Steele dossier was inserted into the Intelligence Community Assessment against analysts' objections and how Brennan briefed Obama on Hillary Clinton's plan to smear Trump as a Russian asset. He reflects on whether the Epstein memo was timed to distract from these criminal referrals and challenges the audience to think critically rather than fall into confirmation bias or hopium. The show also highlights the Supreme Court's 8-1 decision that cleared the way for Trump's mass federal layoffs, a story Jon predicts will have major long-term consequences. Other topics include USAID's quiet transfer of 11,000 virus samples to the Wuhan lab without safeguards, Linda Yaccarino's sudden resignation from X, media fearmongering over new copper tariffs, and an alleged episode where Trump threatened to bomb Moscow. Jon ends with banter about karaoke at the Deadwood meetup and a reminder not to trust any narrative blindly, especially when the timing feels too perfect.

On this special Fourth of July episode, CannCon and Ashe in America celebrate Independence Day with humor, reflection, and sharp analysis. They open with a tribute to Whitney Houston's iconic national anthem performance before diving into major headlines. The hosts break down the Supreme Court's decision to hear challenges to state bans on transgender athletes in girls' sports, sparking a candid discussion about biological differences and fairness in competition. They also react to President Trump's signing of the massive “Big Beautiful Bill,” debating whether the historic spending package is a necessary tool for achieving the golden age or just another bloated omnibus. The conversation shifts to a sobering case: a Tennessee man sentenced to life in prison for conspiring, without action, to attack federal agents, prompting a larger critique of unequal justice, January 6th prosecutions, and the erosion of trust in institutions. Ashe and CannCon wrap up with laughs about fireworks mishaps, Deadwood karaoke traditions, and their cautious optimism that America's quarter millennial celebrations might usher in real accountability.
