Silent Hill -pääsarjan pelejä on julkaistu tähän mennessä yhteensä kahdeksan, joista viimeisin SIlent Hill f kuluvana syksynä. Sarjan seuraava osa Resident Evil: Requiem julkaistaan ensi vuonna. Remedy-pelitalon Alan Wake ja Control -pelien lisäksi oululainen Korpi Games on pian julkaisemassa Shifting Chambers -peliään, jossa seikkaillaan taskulampun kajossa pimeässä alati muuttuvassa kauhukartanossa. Videopelien kauhusta ja kauhupeleistä Kulttuuriykkösen studiossa ovat keskustelemassa elokuvatutkimuksen opiskelija ja peliasiantuntija Juho Lipponen, pelisuunnittelija Tuuli Mäenpää, kauhupelien musiikkiin erikoistunut väitöskirjatutkija Enja Heikkilä sekä pelitoimittaja Johannes Valkola. We discuss the first two episodes of Dispatch, a new superhero adventure game from AdHoc Studio, a new team made up of former Telltale Developers, plus dive into the big news of the week, which includes Halo coming to PlayStation. SHOW DOT POINTS The hosts express excitement about reconnecting after a long time. Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition is set to release soon. Remedy Entertainment is facing challenges with the performance of its multiplayer game. Xbox is transitioning from a console-focused company to a software brand. Nintendo's Pikmin 4 update adds new features but lacks a Switch 2 version. Hades II is receiving content updates based on player feedback. The gaming community is eager for new content and updates. The hosts reflect on the evolution of gaming consoles and their market strategies. There is a growing trend of nostalgia in gaming announcements. The importance of community engagement in game development is emphasised. Mickey Mouse for Hire has been delayed to early 2026. Luigi's Mansion is coming to Switch in time for Halloween. Dispatch is an office-based comedy about superheroes. The game features a strong narrative and character development. Aaron Paul voices the main character in Dispatch. The game is structured like a TV series with episodic releases. QuickTime events in games can detract from the experience. The dispatching mini-game is a highlight of the gameplay. Power Wash Simulator is great for multitasking while gaming. Dispatch's pricing is considered a steal at $40. There's more equipment and gadgets to enhance gameplay. Simulation games provide a relaxing escape for players. Extraction shooters offer a unique blend of PvE and PvP elements. The lore and setting of games can significantly enhance the experience. Voice acting is crucial for character-driven narratives in games. Players should demand better quality from established franchises. Game mechanics should allow for fluid player interactions. The design of game worlds impacts player immersion. Players enjoy the risk-reward system in extraction shooters. Community feedback can influence game design and improvements. YOUR HOSTS

In this friendly episode of Homeopathy 247, Mary chats with homeopath Morris Tuffery about the powerful and essential remedy, Staphysagria. Morris, joining all the way from New Zealand, analyzes how this remedy addresses deep-seated issues stemming from suppressed anger and emotional pain, often acting as a profound starting point for healing. Homeopathy's Strong Roots in New Zealand Morris begins by discussing the practice of homoeopathy in New Zealand. While its origins were grassroots—brought over by English settlers in the 1900s—it has gained professional status thanks to mentors like Bruce Barwell. It is now well-regulated under the New Zealand Homeopathic Council, with approximately 80 registered homeopaths adhering to mandatory professional development. Morris stresses that a major part of his work involves public education to increase awareness and encourage the use of homeopathy for home first aid. Understanding the "Staphysagria" Type: Anger Swallowed The core theme of Staphysagria is the profound effect of anger and humiliation that cannot be expressed. Suppressed Emotion: The remedy is indicated when a person has been subjected to abuse (sexual, physical, or emotional), bullying, or intense humiliation (like being unjustly fired). Because the person is unable to retaliate or stand up for themselves in the moment, they "swallow the anger." Volcano Under the Tablecloth: This type is famously described as a "volcano under a Laura Ashley tablecloth." They are often seen as the nicest people or "ultimate caregivers" who put others' needs first, but internally, they are seething with suppressed rage. A small provocation can sometimes cause a sudden, passionate burst of anger. Lack of Confidence: The long-term suppression of anger leads to feelings of unworthiness and a lack of confidence, leaving them vulnerable to victimization. A Remedy for Trauma and Physical Intrusion Staphysagria is also highly valuable for physical ailments that relate to the body feeling violated or irritated: Wounds and Surgery: It is a key remedy for healing lacerated and stretched tissue. This makes it ideal for recovering from surgery (which can feel like an intrusion), dental work (especially a strained or dislocated jaw), and a lacerated perineum after childbirth. Inflammation and Irritation: It is a primary remedy for recurrent styes and chalazions (inflamed eyelid nodules) and for colic in children who are fractious and angrily throw things. UTIs: Staphysagria is a major remedy for recurrent Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs), particularly those related to the first experience of sexual intimacy (historically "Honeymoon cystitis"). Morris shares a powerful case where the remedy brought about an immediate return of joy and self-worth to a patient suffering from recurrent UTIs and low self-image following a rape. Understanding LM Potencies (Gradual Healing) Morris and Mary discuss the difference between various homeopathic potencies. For the public, it's important to know that professional homeopaths use methods beyond simple first aid prescribing: LM Potencies: These were the last potencies developed by Hahnemann. They are preferred for long-term chronic conditions because they produce a gradual and permanent improvement without the strong aggravations (healing crises) sometimes seen with high C-potencies. Chronic vs. Acute: While first aid often uses 30C or 200C potencies for quick action, complex, long-standing, or chronic conditions (like the effects of past abuse or chronic fatigue) benefit greatly from the sustained, gentle action of the LM scale. Time sure is moving, but has a sufficient amount of it passed for us to start considering the next generation of PlayStation console? According to two reliable leakers, the answer is yes: Sony is very much aiming to get PS6 out in 2027. This makes sense by historical standards -- seven years between consoles is fairly normal, if not even a little slow -- but it really doesn't feel like we need this thing. Or do we? By 2027, who knows what our ecosystem might look like. Let's discuss! Plus: Legendary Tecmo director and producer Tomonobu Itagakai has sadly passed away, Sony-owned studio Bluepoint is hiring for a mysterious third-person action project, San Diego Studio appears primed to finally bring its smash-hit MLB: The Show series to PC, Ghost of Yotei is selling at parity with Ghost of Tsushima, we could have very easily gotten a mobile The Last of Us game, and more. Then: Listener inquiries! Do we like to partake in New Game+, when applicable? With Xbox's displacement as a hardware competitor, is Sony and Nintendo's long-standing rivalry primed to be reignited? Why don't we talk more about the fighting scene? Will Dustin regale us with some of his Japanese language skills? The way that the Church has historically helped entire cultures to raise themselves out of destitution is not by giving them cash, but Christ. Let's take a closer look at how this worked and why. Watch on YouTube: The Real Remedy for Poverty
Everyone experiences discouragement, but those who are in Christ should always take heart because the Lord has provided for us a straightforward remedy: diligent, heartfelt prayer. Luke 18:1-14
“The Remedy of a Troubled Life” teaches that in the midst of life's inevitable trials, the true cure for a troubled heart is unwavering faith in Christ—trusting His person, His promises of an eternal home, His return, His exclusive role as the only way to the Father, and His finished work on the cross.
Send us a textGuest: Dr. George Barna, Director of Research, Cultural Research Center, Arizona Christian UniversityThe Bible says that in the time of the judges in Israel, “every man did what was right in his own eyes” (Judges 17:6). That is another way of saying the people were flagrantly breaking God's laws and rationalizing their sin. Scripture is clear that all men and women are sinners by nature and by choice. For example, Romans 3 says:“for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin; as it is written, “There is none righteous, not even one; There is none who understands, There is none who seeks for God; All have turned aside, together they have become useless; There is none who does good, There is not even one” (Romans 3:9-12).Considering all the hate, murder, lying, lusting, stealing, coveting, envying, immorality, blasphemy, oppression, and much more that marks our world, it may seem surprising that Americans don't see themselves as sinners but as basically good, and thus, do what is right in their own eyes.In a recent survey released by George Barna, Director of Research at the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University, “only half of all American adults (52%) believe that everyone has sinned…and even among theologically-defined born-again Christians, one in four denies personal guilt of sin.” What's more, “among self-identified Christians, 72% believe that people are “basically good at heart.”This is troubling and egregious error, especially by those who profess to be part of the church. Today on the program, George Barna joins us to discuss the changing view of sin by Americans and Christians and what has led to it. We will also discuss why conviction over one's sin is so important because it shows us our need for the only remedy.------------------------------------RELATED RESOURCES:Report #9: Research Identifies Common Sources of Confusion about Sin Report #8: Millions of American Christians Deny Their Sinfulness

Welcome to Active Relaod! This week, James and Grant (mainly Grant) open the episode by talking about Battlefield 6! Grant gives his good, bad, and ugly after his time with it. Then, the guys discuss Remedy's profit warning to investors due to "weak sales" from FBC: Firebreak. The show was wondering who this game was for when it was first announced and Remedy seemingly never got an answer to that question. Also, does this have a bigger impact on the games as service model as a whole? Finally, is Pokémon officially back?! Pokémon Legends Z-A is here, and it is getting very good reviews, the gang discusses their fond, albeit limited memories of the series, but mainly reminisce on Pokémon Go.Subscribe to the Active Reload YouTube channel to watch all these episodes live!Remember to rate, follow, like, and subscribe

And we're sticking to that mission and values, which is really important to me, because those are things that are always going to be good for you and for the…planet.” —Neka Pasquale Sometimes, wellness feels like a luxury instead of a way of life. Between the stress of business, family, and bills, it's easy to put health last until the cost of burnout catches up. What if the values that ground us—nourishment, balance, and purpose—were also the very things that drive sustainable success? An acupuncturist turned entrepreneur, Neka Pasquale has built Urban Remedy from her kitchen into a movement by pairing holistic values with smart business. Her journey shows that growth doesn't come from chasing trends but from honoring what genuinely heals and sustains people. This week, Justine and Neka provide clear, usable lessons about product-first growth, sourcing, hiring leadership, bootstrapped problem-solving, pivoting retail models, investor trade-offs, and how to scale without losing the values that made you special. Leadership becomes prideful when it's referenced to self and others; it becomes holy when it's referenced to God. True leaders lead on their knees, following the humble way of Jesus.
This week, we continue with our Why Church? series. In chapter 4:23-31 of Acts, Peter and John return to their friends after their time before the Sanhedrin to pray together as a community. Pastor Eric highlights three key aspects of God's remedy in gospel opposition as found in the text: 1) The medicine of friendship (v. 23) 2) The rest found in God's sovereignty (vv. 24-28) 3) The strength found in praying for boldness (vv. 29-31)

In this episode, we explore the gift of tears and the importance of allowing ourselves to cry. We reflect on our experiences with crying and talk about how tears, especially in painful moments, can be a powerful expression of surrender, lament, and hope when offered to God. With the help of the Holy Spirit, our sensitivity and capacity to cry reflect the way we were beautifully created to respond to what breaks God's heart. We discuss the vulnerability of crying, the pain of resisting it, and how Jesus crying out on the cross reveals the value of our own cries. Whether you're too tired to cry, afraid to show need, or already feel safe expressing emotion, we invite you to see crying as an act of worship and intercession. In our sorrow, God meets us with love, truth, and the hope that He can actually do something with our pain. What would it look like for me to cry well? Where has my heart been repressed? Where do I need to cry out? Discussion Questions: How did Pope Leo's words change your perspective on crying? How are you tempted to give in to cynicism? In what ways are you self-reliant in this season of life? How can you be an empathetic witness to someone crying out in their life? Quote to Ponder: “Finally, she asks God to give her a gift of tears to draw his mercy down upon the world, and especially upon his church. In one of her visions, Catherine records having been told by God: “If you open your mind's eye you will see that the Holy Spirit weeps in the person of every one of my servants who offers me the fragrance of holy desire and constant humble prayer.” (St. Catherine of Sienna, The Dialogue Study Edition) “We are accustomed to thinking of crying out as something disorderly, to be repressed. The Gospel confers an immense value to our cry, reminding us that it can be an invocation, a protest, a desire, a surrender. It can even be the extreme form of prayer, when there are no words left. In that cry, Jesus gave all that he had left: all his love, all his hope.” (General Audience, September 10, 2025, Pope Leo XIV) Scripture for Lectio: “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Psalm 22:1) Sponsor - Beata Home: This episode is sponsored by Beata Home, a boutique-style print shop founded by Katie, a wife and mom of four.
