This homily explores the biblical command to overcome fear through a deeper relationship with God. The reflection interprets St. Matthew's Gospel, arguing that true security is found in divine fatherhood rather than worldly status or secrecy. What is discussed are various forms of human anxiety, including marital dynamics and the threat of public exposure, while contrasting these with a healthy reverence for the Lord. The material encourages listeners to live with a sense of unity and to boldly practice their faith in public rather than succumb to societal pressure or intimidation. Ultimately, the source posits that because Christ conquered death, the faithful should not fear those who can only harm the body. By examining a hierarchy of fears, I invite individuals to place their total trust in God's providence and eternal promise.

Yesterday we had the outcome of the Feds Policy meeting, and the press conference with newly minted Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh at the helm. It was a typically slick performance from Warsh, setting the stage for the wider overhaul of the institution that he had promised before he took the helm, but it was … Continue reading "Fed Concedes Inflation Is Too High; But Gives No Clue As To Remedy…"

We look only at one woe, Jesus's "whitewashed tomb" denouncement. We talk about why it's a summary of all his woes. Plus we ask, "If this is the religion worthy of a 'woe' from Jesus, what is the opposite and what's the remedy to being like this ourselves?"

Having thus far treated of the nature of this disease, it remains for us still to point out the remedies. These are: certain preventatives and antidotes, which may be brought under these three heads. First, all hindrances and causes that make this evil greater must be removed; next, one must flee and reject the false means of healing; finally, one must take in hand and use the right means. I. The hindrances which must be removed are all heresies, all sins, and all those things which we have already enumerated under the foregoing and outwardly moving causes, namely: the harmful doctrine of the falling away of the saints, of free will, and of the meritoriousness of good works, etc. Besides these, too great solitude and melancholy, which the man of God Luther not so unjustly calls: the bath of Satan.
The Fork In Your Ear Ep#215 Eternia of Games! - Podcast Show Notes Summary 6-13-26 Gaming News – Oops All Games Edition! Tim and Nate kick off with an "oops all games" episode packed wall-to-wall with fresh showcases. They open with the Xbox Games Showcase (June 7). Tim watched with Jessica while making breakfast; Nate and Cara ran it live in the Discord. Key highlights: Gears of War: E-Day (Oct 6, Xbox Series X/S, PC, Game Pass day one, Unreal Engine 5 built from the ground up by The Coalition). The prequel Emergence Day story stars Marcus and Dom. The Coalition's deep Unreal expertise and "from-scratch" approach have everyone hyped for performance and visuals. Tim and Nate debate third-person cover shooters (Nate's not a fan of the mechanic; Tim loves the destroyed world, underground critters, and chainsaw guns). Fable – New cinematic trailer confirms Haley Atwell (Agent Carter) as the long-teased villain Isabel. Jack of Blades gets a surprise tease, hinting at multiple villains. A 30-minute full gameplay video dropped days later showing a talking pig quest, romance options, UI, and systems in action. Delayed to February 23, 2027 (Xbox, PC, Game Pass, and still coming to PS5) to polish and avoid GTA 6. Tim is very excited; Nate is cautiously optimistic but holding judgment on open-world RPG scope. Halo: Campaign Evolved (July 28, Xbox, PC, PS5, Game Pass) – UE5 remake of Halo 1 with core Blam engine (physics/game logic pulled from Halo: Reach) for that authentic "spongy" feel. New Sergeant Johnson voice actor, prequel missions (Assault on the Control Room & Silent Cartographer) locked behind the main campaign, vehicle jacking, new weapons (energy sword, fuel rod, brute spiker), sprint, clambering, 40+ skulls, and a "Remix Mode" for wild enemy swaps/randomization. 4-player co-op (local split-screen + online). Previews are extremely positive; limited collector's editions sold out fast. Tim is all-in on the respectful-yet-improved remake treatment and wants to share it with new players. Other Xbox news: Persona 6 trailer reactions (mixed/underwhelmed), new Spyro game from Toys for Bob (Tom Kenny returning as Spyro, Dragonflight mechanics), Clockwork Revolution (InXile steampunk RPG, Xbox ecosystem exclusive vibes), S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-era title getting Unreal Engine help from The Coalition + Grounded-style cross-world system, new dark Metro game from the Ukrainian team (still developing in wartime conditions), Resonance (Plague Tale legacy?), Minecraft Dungeons 2, new Senua Hellblade-universe action game (Nate loved the first, mixed on the second; Tim was never a fan but this one looks more classic Ninja Theory), Crazy Taxi World Tour (2027, pure arcade nostalgia), and Castlevania: Belmont's Curse (Oct 15 – Tim is already hooked into his veins; Switch 2 version delayed, which upsets him).

At Summer Game Fest 2026 I got about 90 minutes hands-on with Control: Resonant — Remedy's return to the Control universe —, and I'm hyped. The big shift: it moves from gunplay to fast, melee-focused combat with real weapon variety, DMC-style combos and combo-enders, and traversal that feels great as you move through Remedy's eerie, atmospheric spaces. The enemies are no pushovers, the world-building is classic Remedy, there's a tease of the story, and the replayability looks ridiculous. Easily one of my most anticipated games.Enjoying the channel?

In this episode of Girl Talk with Tay, I sit down with Neka Pasquale, founder of Urban Remedy, practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and longtime advocate for food as medicine, to discuss holistic health, organic living, entrepreneurship, and the everyday habits that support long term wellness.Neka shares how her journey began through studying Traditional Chinese Medicine and how that foundation shaped both her personal health philosophy and the creation of Urban Remedy. We talk about viewing the body as an interconnected system, why every food carries unique healing properties, and how living in alignment with natural rhythms can have a profound impact on overall well being. We also dive into the growing conversation around ultra processed foods, glyphosate, GMOs, inflammation, and metabolic health. Neka explains why choosing organic foods matters, what consumers should know about food quality, and how modern lifestyles have moved many people away from the foundational habits that support health. We discuss practical wellness habits including hydration, movement, sleep, stress management, seasonal eating, and creating sustainable routines that work in real life. Neka shares her perspective on avoiding extremes and instead focusing on simple daily practices that help the body function at its best.On the business side, Neka opens up about building Urban Remedy from a private acupuncture practice into a nationally recognized wellness brand carried in Whole Foods and healthcare systems across the country. We talk about scaling a mission driven company, raising capital, maintaining brand integrity, and why she believes entrepreneurs should stay independent for as long as possible.xo, Tay⸻Follow Neka Pasquale!

The New Yorker staff writer David D. Kirkpatrick joins Tyler Foggatt and Andrew Marantz to discuss his investigation—published in August, 2025—into the many ways President Donald Trump has profited during his second term, which include a reported private jet (a gift from Qatar), soaring valuations of Trump Media, and a flood of crypto ventures. They discuss whether these attempts at self-enrichment amount to ordinary political corruption, or whether they represent tools for consolidating power that could in turn accelerate democratic backsliding in the United States, much like in kleptocracies and oligarchies abroad. This episode originally aired on August 20, 2025.This week's reading: “Is There a Remedy for Presidential Profiteering?,” by David D. We know many of you are tired of talking about Bungie, and frankly, we're kind of tired of discussing them, too. Then again, we're captive to the news, so blame Sony for purchasing them. On the back of last week's discussion about the end of Destiny 2 comes word that Bungie is planning major layoffs as it attempts to greenlight a new project to develop alongside the ongoing Marathon. And no, Destiny 3 isn't happening. At least not yet. What's next for this beleaguered team? If we're being totally candid and honest, does a future for Bungie even really exist at all? There's lots of other news this week, too, including rumors surrounding Media Molecule's next game, the peculiar re-reveal of the long-in-development Dragon Quest XII, the confirmation of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and its October release, trouble surrounding PlayStation 3 emulation on Linux, The Witcher 3's new expansion coming more than a decade after the last, Persona 4 Remake's surprise South Korean games rating, and much more. Then: Listener inquiries! Are indie games treated more softly than AA/AAA games when it comes to reviews? What could the drastic increase in SteamDeck pricing mean for PlayStation 6? Envy is a deadly sin, and it's almost entirely unavoidable. Our Sages that "Envy extracts a person from the world." It causes a person to be severed from the world. But there is so much cause for envy wherever we turn. In every area of life, there is rank inequality. Other people have things that seem good and desirable. How is it possible to not covet the goodies of others? In this interesting podcast, we share three perspectives for how to solve envy once and for all. – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –DONATE: Please consider supporting the podcasts by making a donation to help fund our Jewish outreach and educational efforts at https://www.torchweb.org/support.php. Sue Rizzello is the founder of UK agency Remedy Marketing, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Remedy helps technology and services organizations market through the power of proof, first by using customer voices through case studies, and second by turning their experience, insights and opinions into thought leadership. Sue believes these two things can differentiate a business more powerfully than anything else. Her 35-year career spans global PR agencies, corporate marketing roles and the launch of major technology brands and initiatives including Bluetooth and the DVD, before creating the kind of agency she always wished she could find client-side: one that genuinely helps rather than adds burden, and that can think for itself. Raised by artist parents, she brings a questioning mindset and creative streak to her work as well as being a prolific writer and wordsmith. She spent time out in the art world, running her late father's sculpture studio to ensure his final works were completed, curating silver and gold exhibitions in London's famous Cork Street, and curating a major retrospective at the Mall Galleries in the Royal Mall. Today she is a jewelry designer and budding silversmith in her ‘spare' time. Sue is an advocate for women not just as entrepreneurs but in relation to their health. A late stage ovarian cancer survivor, she is also a vocal campaigner and media spokesperson on ovarian cancer, often seen in Parliamentary cross-party action groups asking awkward questions of policymakers. In 1965, Mick Jagger, the lead singer of The Rolling Stones, and the lead guitarist, Keith Richards, wrote one of their most popular hit songs; “Can't Get No Satisfaction.” This 1965 classic perfectly captures that restless, unfulfilled endless chase for satisfaction that nothing in the world can truly provide. Many of you feel like you have tried everything, and yet you aren't satisfied. Something deep inside still feels empty, restless, and lonely. Billy Graham stood before brilliant students at Harvard when one asked, “Tell me plainly, how can I know God?” The answer hasn't changed in 2,000 years. How do we know what a homeopathic remedy actually does? That question takes Denise and Alastair into one of the things that truly sets homeopathy apart: provings. In this episode, they talk about how remedy knowledge is gathered, why Hahnemann insisted that it come through experience — not “mere intellectual exertion” — and why the paper trail behind our materia medica matters. They also look at what happens when that trail gets muddy: incomplete provings, speculative remedy pictures, intellectual shortcuts, and remedies being used or sold without clear proving information. The conversation moves from Causticum and Hahnemann's own proving symptoms to Langhammer, Scholten's periodic table work, nosodes, isopathy, and the modern temptation to simplify what was never meant to be simplistic. If you've ever wondered where remedy pictures come from — or how to think more critically about what's in the materia medica — this episode is for you.Strange, Rare & Peculiar is a weekly podcast with Denise Straiges and Alastair Gray of the Institute for the Advancement of Homeopathy and the Academy of Homeopathy Education. This season, we're focusing on truth — what it means to Aude Sapere (“dare to know”) in homeopathy today. From Hahnemann's original insights to the realities of modern practice, research, and education, Denise and Alastair bring over 50 years of experience to conversations that challenge assumptions and invite curiosity.
The housing crisis is fundamentally a health problem. Decades of research show that people experiencing homelessness spend twice as long in the hospital, cost the healthcare system double and have a life expectancy half that of the average Canadian. In this special episode of Solve for X: Innovations to Change the World, recorded live at a MaRS Morning event, host Manjula Selvarajah sits down with primary care physician Dr. Andrew Boozary to discuss a radical shift in Canadian medicine: treating housing not just as a social service, but as a critical medical intervention. As founding executive director of UHN's Gattuso Centre for Social Medicine, Boozary shares data-driven insights from his initiatives there: prescribing nutritious food boxes, the launch of Ontario's first hospital-based homelessness and eviction program and, most famously, the establishment of Dunn House, a permanent supportive housing model that's proven to be both effective and scalable. Together, Selvarajah and Boozary explore what it takes to dismantle bureaucratic sludge, cut through systematic fragmentation and build a healthcare system rooted in human dignity. Dr. Andrew Boozary is a primary care physician and the founding executive director of the Gattuso Centre for Social Medicine at University of Health Network (UHN). At the forefront of health equity and public policy, his work focuses on integrating social determinants of health — such as housing, income and food security — directly into patient care. Boozary has spearheaded pioneering social medicine models including Toronto's modular permanent supportive housing project, Dunn House, establishing crucial healthcare interventions that drastically improve health outcomes while reducing healthcare costs. In 2026, he received a Governor General's Innovation Award for developing Dunn House. In this episode, we have the opportunity to speak with Janita about the PresentChild method, a technique based on systemic therapy principles that enable effective communication and understanding with children. This approach is likely to be transformative not only for homeopaths but also for other natural healthcare practitioners who may feel frustrated with patients experiencing relapses after initial success. Janita Venema is the founder and initiator of PresentChild, a method for understanding and communicating with children based on the principles of systemic therapy, family constellations, and quantum physics. Janita Venema is a Dutch psychologist and therapist who has been working with families and children for over 25 years. In her work, she noticed that many parents were struggling to communicate effectively with their children, leading to misunderstandings and conflict. This inspired her to develop the PresentChild method, which helps parents and caregivers understand the underlying messages and needs behind their child's behavior. Janita Venema has written several books on the PresentChild method, including "The PresentChild: A Gift for You and Your Family" and "The PresentChild Toolkit: How to Connect and Communicate with Your Child". She has also trained many professionals, including therapists, counselors, and educators, in the use of the PresentChild method. Neka Pasquale turned a side project into a $48 million business, and she'll be the first to tell you she had no idea what she was doing. She was an acupuncturist treating patients when she started making food and juices as part of their care. People loved it, word got around, and before long, Urban Remedy was growing faster than she could plan for. There was no roadmap. Just a lot of late nights, a lot of mistakes, and a refusal to quit.On this episode of Dear FoundHer, Neka sits down with host Lindsay Pinchuk to talk about starting a business for the first time with no roadmap, no business background, and no idea the thing would grow into what it became. She shares what it was like fulfilling 500 juice orders while pregnant, shipping food across the country before she was remotely ready, and learning operations, HR, and food safety by making every possible mistake first. The story of how Urban Remedy landed in Whole Foods is worth the listen alone. It didn't come from a pitch. It came from a bike ride. That's partnership marketing working exactly the way it's supposed to, and it's a reminder that the relationships you're already building matter more than any campaign you could run.Scaling a business that sells fresh organic food nationally comes with scaling challenges most brands never take on. Neka talks about managing rapid growth without losing the mission, the burnout that built up quietly over 12 years of nonstop doing, and why protecting what your brand stands for gets harder the bigger you get.For women entrepreneurs who are building something that actually means something, this conversation offers a candid look at what growth actually asks of you.Episode Breakdown:00:00 How Urban Remedy Started by Accident06:25 Managing 500 Orders While Pregnant08:39 The Operational Chaos of Scaling a Business11:15 How a Bike Ride Led to 400 Whole Foods Locations15:36 Staying True to Your Mission at Scale22:22 The Real Challenges of Scaling Fresh Food Nationally23:39 When and Why to Hire a CEO29:14 What Every Woman Founder Needs to Know Before Scaling a BusinessConnect with Neka Pasquale:Follow Neka on Instagram Subscribe to The FoundHer Files Follow Dear FoundHer on Instagram Free Forum Open House + Networking Session Come see what's inside the Dear FoundHer Forum SAVE YOUR SEATJoin THE networking community for women business owners over forty, The Dear FoundHer...
