We have back with us today one of our favorite guests Jake Bible. I've known Jake for a few years. I used to work out with his wife. We all used to meet at the bar and have great conversations over a few beers. Jake has a wonderful outlook on life. He was involved in an extremely bad car accident about 10 years ago. The car accident left him in a coma for a few weeks. An experience like that can change your perspective on life. Now he's doing his best to make the most out of life. In today's episode we talked a lot about one of Jake's favorite topics, politics. We talked about where Jake likes to get his news these days. We both agree that you can't trust anything on the mainstream media, on either side of the isle. Jake now believes that the best way to get the real news is to listen to podcasts. I have to agree with him. Podcasts seem to be the best platform for anyone to talk freely about any topic they choose. It seems that if someone works for a major company they can't speak their mind without major consequences, usually their job. Plus each major company obviously has their own agenda they want to put forward. Podcasts are a great way to get information out on both sides of the issues and allow people to make up their own minds as to what they believe. Which obviously is the whole point of politics. We talked about some other fun topics as well. At some point I may or may not have gone on a a bit of a rant about social media and people not being who they portray themselves to be online. I just don't understand why people just aren't genuine all the time. Is it really so hard to ask everyone to just be real?? We also got into voting a little bit. Where Jake likes to get his information about how he can due his duty to be an educated voter. A little about Jake... Jake is a CNC Hydromat Machinist. He is what I would call blue collar proud. Unfortunately it seems like today's society looks down on someone who doesn't have a college degree or a white collar job. But there's nothing wrong with working a blue collar job to provide for your family. We need those people doing what they do and they should be proud to do it. Jake is very active politically and writes his opinions to the Letters to the Editor in the Medina Trading Post (ThePostNewspapers.com/Medina). He has been writing his letters to the editor for 4-5 years. In the beginning he was writing into the paper once a week. But after a complaint about certain people writing in too often, he now only writes in once a month. That's the most any one person is allowed. Jake is a huge Cleveland sports fan. His favorite team is the Browns. Although he enjoys watching the Indians and the Cavs too. He's always talking about how the Browns will be have a better season, next year.       © 2018 Uncensored Humanity   Artwork by Kathryn Kidwell Intro music Rover by S Strong – available on Youtube audio library Outro music Whitestick by S Strong – available on Youtube audio library

Ready for another ride and a little philosophy? Listen to Jake try to convince everyone that Cersei Lannister from GoT is a better human than Jim Halpert from The Office. We get to hear “mid-coitus”, “Jesus tattoo”, and “Imodium” in the same story, and Freddy’s wife Jenn causes Burger King workers to revolt by ordering 100 chicken nuggets. Buckle up and get ready for an interesting ride! "But it is the same with man as with the tree. The more he seeks to rise into the height and light, the more vigorously do his roots struggle earthward, downward, into the dark, the deep - into evil." - Friedrich Nietzsche Show Notes [0:00] Freddy drags Jake through more mud by recapping his sex and war comment from Part I of this episode. [0:30] Jim Halpert’s only chance with Cersei Lannister would be if they were related. [5:30] Where Jake pisses off all humans looking for love (which is just about everyone), and Freddy asks “Have you tried Bumble?”. [9:04] Jake attempts to keep the mob of pitchfork-wielding civilized people at bay with regard to his sex and war comment from Part I. [11:23] Jake ponders whether or not sex can stand up to evolution. [13:00] Do we really have free will? [14:12] Freddy eats 100 Burger King chicken nuggets and the workers revolt. [18:15] The entire goal of spiritualism is to gain the ability to act. [23:00] Jake unpacks a Friedrich Nietzsche quote about trees and roots. [24:46] Jake and Freddy look for Dave Ramsey’s house, and realize that he really is doing better than he deserves. [27:01] Was Freud’s work just Nietzsche’s work repackaged? [28:38] Fuck’d upper n’a football bat and Jake has the worst Southern accent Freddy has every heard. [30:30] Rod-neh Stewe-urt experiments with overdosing on Imodium in Israel. [37:00] Coifing mid-coitus and surprise Savior tattoos. [38:25] The gift of La Croix that is still sitting in Freddy’s car to this day. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/roadrants/message
