More like "James *is* a Giant Piece." While Molly's drama swells, Ben and Tracy support the women closest to them.
One, two, three, four.. how will Molly handle her camp’s color war? Book five of the Molly series features another fictional island, frenemies, and a truly bizarre wartime Tripp to a woodsy summer camp. Proving that there’s no such thing as “too soon” at Camp Gowonagin, Molly and her friends recreate the D-Day beach landings to win a game. Molly wins, but much like the USA declaring victories around the world, at what cost? While Molly has to learn about swimming and friendly rivalry, we put this story in the broader context of life and death in camps during the 1940s. Visit our merch store! This episode we’re recapping Clea DuVall’s lesbian Christmas romcom; Happiest Season. While Molly loves the Christmas Season, Becca is a bit of a grinch. Family Christmas is never easy especially when reputation matters and you’re hiding a huge secret. We discuss our love for Jane and John, middle child syndrome, sibling rivalry, the toxicity of heteronormative society and the closet and being friends with your girlfriends ex. As well as drawing parallels to our own lives, which made this a very interesting and realistic watch and the what we think would happen had there been a different director. With Becca’s focus on Aubrey Plaza and Molly’s on a dead fish subplot what more could you want from a Christmas themed film? This is our final episode of 2020. We will be back with Disobedience (2017) January 7th 2021. Be sure to join us in the new year when we will continuously question do ladies do that? This episode is part 1 of 2 all about one of our favourite LGBTQ+ shows, Orange is the New Black. The show is based on Piper Kerman’s memoir under the same name. We’re chatting our favourite characters, couples and storylines throughout all 7 seasons. While Molly watched this show in secret and Becca watched it openly, we both adore the diverse cast of characters and topics tackled throughout. Coming to terms that most long-term couples in TV are toxic was difficult, but we love to hate Alex Vause and Piper Chapman (Vauseman.) As all our listeners will come to realise, we’re suckers for good love stories with major flaws, but sometimes we wonder if it’s because this is the only representation we know… All that’s left to say is thank you Jenji Kohan for creating this messy queer masterpiece that we all love. For breaking out hearts on multiple occasions but also allowing us to realise we were gay. Join us next week for part 2 of our OITNB episode, where we chat a large selection of other LGBTQ+ characters within the show. Be sure to give us a follow on Twitter @DLDTPodcast to get all our updates. note: an error, in the episode we say Piper Chapman is sentenced to 15 years, in the show it is 15 months.
While Molly's away, it's ... shopping day? Our heroes take a day trip, try some light shoplifting, learn more about the nature of space, time, and order, and engage in general shenanigans.
Through darkness comes light and on today’s episode I’m talking to Molly Stillman about how hitting rock bottom helped her rise to the top. Molly is the host of the Business with Purpose podcast as well as the Still Being Molly blog, both aimed towards inspiring women to live a life of purpose. While Molly is now a successful business owner and leader in the women’s community, life wasn’t always this way. Molly’s mother died during Molly’s senior year of high school. It was due to Agent Orange exposure in Vietnam where she was working as a nurse to our troops. This led her down a dark path where she used spending money as coping mechanism. After getting $36,000 dollars in debt and still not having processed her grief, Molly felt hopeless, alone and like she had hit rock bottom. Key Takeaway: Understand that it is ok to ask for help. Highlights: Opening up about dark times Growing up fast, by taking care of mom Agent Orange exposure in Vietnam Unprocessed grief Getting $36,000 into debt Feeling incapable of success Meeting future husband and attending church Deciding what is worth your time Manifesting greatness and stopping doubts Find more from Molly: Website: Still Being Molly Facebook: Molly Stillman Instagram: @stillbeingmolly Podcast: Business With Purpose For daily fitness, nutrition and life inspiration, as well as glimpses into my daily life, follow me on Instagram and Facebook! Molly was a senior in high school. Trevor was her slightly-older boyfriend who’d already graduated. While Molly was well-liked and social, Trevor was more of a loner and could be possessive. It was the source of their on-again-off-again relationship. One night, as the two walked home from a party thrown by several of Molly’s friends, a car full of passersby placed a frantic 9-1-1 call to police, then found themselves rendering aid to Molly as she lay bleeding on the sidewalk. Special Guest: Detective George has been in law enforcement for over 20 years. Before his recent promotion to Sergeant, he spent 12 years as a detective in the Violent Crimes Unit of his town’s police agency. George has been a member of SWAT for 17 years. He has also served on Bike Patrol and as a Field Training Officer.
Joe and Laura call Joe's ex-girlfriend, Molly, and Laura gets a chance to dig a little deeper into Joe's past. While Molly and Joe have different interpretations of some of the events that transpired during their relationship, they both clearly remember the terrible birthday present Joe gave Molly for her birthday. While Molly is on her honeymoon, Julia Simon has graciously filled in once again. This time Julia and Mike debate the handling of mental illness across the Trek multiverse. It's a fascinating discussion and Julia points out that not all Captians have the patience necessary to help people heal. Listen in!
