I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Monday morning, the 15th of December, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. If we go to the Gospel of Matthew 8:3: “Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.” Jesus healed the leper! Jesus was always found with the sick, the poor, and the rejected of society. As I read this account this morning, my mind went back to my dear wife, Jill's, mother and father, who came out from England after the Second World War to Nigeria and then to Northern Zambia, and what they did was nurse the lepers. They ran leprosy colonies. How many people know about that? Not many, but I want to tell you one thing, the lepers know about it and so does Jesus.Today, maybe you are thinking, “What is it that I have done which is of any worth?” Oh my dear friend, that cup of water, that piece of bread, that visit, that smile - they all count. An old lady came to Shalom Ministries, but before she came, she stood up in front of her family, on her 70th birthday and said, “I am going full-time for Jesus!” Then she came, and she said, “I am coming to join you, Angus”, and she came to stay with us until Jesus took her home. Jimmy and Moira arrived in their little car on the farm one day. I will never forget it. I was clearing some land, and they informed me that they had been sent by God to come and help us on this farm. What a lovely couple! They stayed with us until Jesus took them home.Today, just give the Lord what you have got. The Lord built this ministry on this farm, not by the famous, not by the rich, not by the influential. No, but by the whosoever's, the widows, the people who are old, the people that maybe no one knows their name, but I want to tell you, I know their names, and more importantly, Jesus knows their names. Today, I want to encourage you again to use what you have for the Lord and do it with all of your heart, and that is all that He requires of you, and He will do the rest. Have a wonderful Christmas Season and Jesus bless you,Goodbye.

Hey kids! What a wonderful time to be alive! It's Christmas Season and all is well with the world! This is a classic from the good old days of The Toys R Us Report. Originally recorded back in 2016 it's as relevant now as it was then. Let's see what we had to say at the time... Thanks for sharing the most wonderful time of the year with us here up on Jupiter's 3rd Largest Moon, Callisto. In the spirit of the holidays our pal Iceberg 13 put together an hour long mix of some great X-Mas tunes along with some fun commercials and other cool X-Mas stuff. It's not to be missed. Then at the end of the show me and Iceberg finish off by talking about the true meaning of X-Mas. A good time was had by all This is a real def hour of music and other offbeat shenanigans sure to entertain the family during some Christmas time activity such as Gingerbread house building or whatnot. Share it with the your peeps. They'll thank you.

Holiday Parenting Tips for Kids: (Less Stress, More Connection)This week on the podcast, we're wrapping up the year with a short, gentle episode designed to meet you exactly where you are right now — tired, busy, and likely juggling a lot.As the final episode of the year, we share a heartfelt reminder that the holiday season isn't about getting everything “right” with your kids' health. It's about connection, presence, and doing the best you can with the capacity you have. This episode is intentionally light, supportive, and realistic for families navigating the end-of-year rush.Rather than focusing on rules or restrictions, we talk about coming back to simple foundations that support family health without adding more pressure to your plate. Here's what we cover:Why perfection isn't the goal during the holidays and how letting go of unrealistic expectations can ease stress for the whole family. The foundational health basics that matter most right now, including sleep, simple nourishment, and gentle movement. How to reduce emotional overload during a season that can bring grief, complex family dynamics, and self-imposed pressure.Ways to prioritise connection and joy, even when things feel busy, messy, or far from Instagram-perfect.

Christmas carols are a beautiful tradition of the Christmas Season. The rich theology and deep doctrine of these songs point us to Jesus. There is such power in music. God created music from the beginning and Jesus came to bring all creation back into harmony with God. Also, all creation will culminate in worship before the Throne. We have the amazing privilege to join the heavenly angels in worship to our great God for the Gift of His Son, Jesus. One day, we will erupt in praise and glory to Jesus for all eternity in heaven. So, until that day comes, let's declare His praise with our lives. May this Christmas we worship the newborn King. Merry CHRISTmas!
This Christmas Season, we're fixing our eyes on The Fulfillment of God's Promises — and this weekend, we'll see how that Promise didn't arrive in power, comfort, or control…but in humility. Here's what we will be studying together:
Send us your feedback — we're listeningPsalm 34:18 — Early-Morning Prayer for Healing from Loneliness, Emptiness and Feeling Forgotten During the Christmas Season From London to Vancouver, from Nairobi to Chicago, from Melbourne to Dublin — recorded live here in London, England — a global 3 A.M. prayer within the DailyPrayer.uk 24-Hour Devotional Cycle. Scripture (NIV) Psalm 34:18 — “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Deuteronomy 31:8 — “The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you…” In the early hours, global searches spike for loneliness, emotional emptiness and the ache of feeling unseen. Psalm 34:18 remains one of today's most accessed scriptures for reassurance, closeness and healing during December's long nights. Prayer Father, in this quiet hour, heal the loneliness that settles over my heart. Lift the feeling of being forgotten or unseen. Fill every empty place with Your presence, comfort and peace. Let Your nearness steady my emotions, quiet my thoughts and bring warmth into the cold spaces of the night. Replace isolation with connection, sadness with hope and heaviness with Your gentle strength. Tonight, hold my heart close and remind me that I am fully known, deeply loved and never abandoned by You. Keith Nester spent more than two decades as a Protestant pastor. Preaching, leading, counseling, and absolutely certain he would never become Catholic. Yet his actual conversion story is long, often humorous, at times painful, and far deeper than a simple change of denomination. In this episode, John Heinen and Devin Schadt sit down with @KeithNester to uncover what really happened behind the scenes: the fears he carried, the pride he had to confront, the moments of grace that broke him open, and the unexpected ways God used marriage, suffering, and friendship to draw him home. But this isn't just a conversion story, the show quickly turns to truths every man needs to hear. Truths about how to lead, love, and live the faith with integrity. Keith shares the “hard truth” he believes all men must face: that authority without humility collapses, that evangelization begins long before words are spoken, but we still must speak, and that the quiet witness of fatherhood, sacrifice, and joy can transform more hearts than arguments ever will.

December 7, 2025 [Speaker: Pastor John Sitcler] – The phrase "Spreading Christmas Cheer” can bring a lot of different ideas to our mind… the warmth of a decorated home, the excitement of how we are going to celebrate, and even people simply saying, “Merry Christmas.” (And yes, the movie Elf.) In December, we will explore the Christmas story. As we do, we will discover a variety of ways that God would have us use to spread Christmas cheer! This Christmas you may be experiencing grief because of the loss of a loved one, divorce or a broken relationship, but Jesus offers hope.
In this episode, Caleb Pearson and Abby Linaburg sit down with Pastor Mark Carey to unpack Mark 10:32–45 and explore what it means to follow Jesus during a season filled with expectation, celebration, and service.Mark also gives historical context that brings the passage to life — from the hopes of first-century Jews to the disciples' struggle to unlearn old assumptions. It's a rich conversation about humility, surrender, and the upside-down kingdom Jesus came to establish.Listen to the sermon we're talking about: fbcva.org/current-sermon-series or fbcva.org/podcastsBe a part of the conversation by submitting your thoughts and questions: fbcva.org/sermon-spotlight-podcastWatch this episode and subscribe on YouTube: @fellowshipbiblechurchvaFind out more about Fellowship Bible Church: fbcva.orgSubscribe to emails from Fellowship: fbcva.org/subscribeEngage with us:Facebook: facebook.com/groups/fellowshipfamInstagram: instagram.com/fellowshipbiblechurch/ #SermonSpotlight #FellowshipBibleChurch #FBCVA #Mark10 #FollowTheStar #ChristianPodcast #BibleTeaching #Servanthood #JesusOurRansom #GospelOfMark #FaithInRealLife
