Another AK thingie. This is the first occurrence of me using any effects on my voice. The song sounded so empty without some reverb so I hooked it up. I really like it. There’s some awful distortion in the song when I get loud since I have an awful recording set up but it makes the chorus sound so much more intense.http://asthmatickitty.com/musicians.php?artistID=4

This is one of my favorite groups and they are one of the tougher groups I’ve had to do. I chose this song because it’s great and because, frankly, it’s late and I wanted to finish it before I go to bed. It’s short and not half as complicated as the other ones I wanted to do.http://www.ofmontreal.net

The first voted-in request from the forums. It was a close one between this and Death Cab for Cutie. This is a great song and it has way too much guitar for my mouth. And the drums? Please. The guy goes way too crazy for me to memorize. This is where all that mouth drum training comes in.http://www.thenewpornographers.com

This song came as a result of our making fun of the opening keyboard vocals while in the garage practicing for a gig.I’m pretty proud of this one - I think I’m getting the hang of this new mic and my new iMac can really handle a lot of tracks going at once - not to mention the big screen - being able to hold all of the tracks on screen at the same time is a big help.http://www.bonjovi.com

One of my favorite podcasts - The Sound of Young America. This is their theme song. I emailed the host, just to tip him to my music and he requested a cover of his song to use in the show. The only problem was that he was at work when I emailed him and so he didn’t know that I wasn’t a traditional acapella group. Well, to be nice, he posted it on his site and gave me a little blog post. Thanks Jesse.http://www.maximumfun.org

This is probably the first song from The Magnetic Fields that I ever heard that got me to research them. It’s quirky and fun, but with a Johnny Cash feel to it. Of course, the song loses all of that when I get my hands on it.http://www.houseoftomorrow.com
