Major economic signals don't always point in the same direction, and that's exactly where we are right now. In this macro update, Randy breaks down the recent "trifecta" of events: the Fed holding rates steady, inflation cooling to 2.4%, and a stronger-than-expected jobs report adding 143,000 new jobs. Rather than reacting to headlines, this video looks at the practical implications for investors: what higher-for-longer rates could mean, why the bond market dropped 20 basis points after the inflation report, how AI may become the next structural deflationary force, and what all of it signals for commercial real estate opportunities. An adorable little monkey named Punch has stolen the hearts of those online after being abandoned, then using a stuffed animal for comfort. Punch (Punch-kun) was born in July 2025, rejected by his mother and, seemingly, the rest of his tribe. KSL NewsRadio Producer, Caitlyn Johnston, explains the video that made the internet obsess over little Punch over the weekend and the bigger message we can learn from Punch's experience.

BGMania B-Sides #42 of BGMania: A Video Game Music Podcast. Today on the show, Bedroth drops into Risk of Rain 2, the relentless roguelike shooter that turns isolation and chaos into an ever-escalating fight for survival. What starts as a quiet landing on an alien world quickly spirals into overwhelming waves of enemies, towering bosses, and that constant ticking pressure to move faster before the difficulty swallows you whole. The soundtrack matches that intensity beat for beat, fusing atmospheric ambience with driving percussion, soaring guitar lines, and synth textures that feel both futuristic and strangely human. Tracks build gradually, layering rhythm and melody until they erupt into cathartic climaxes that mirror the game's frantic momentum. It's music that thrives on tension and release, perfectly capturing the lonely vastness of an alien planet while pushing you forward into the storm. Email the show at bgmaniapodcast@gmail.com with requests for upcoming episodes, questions, feedback, comments, concerns, or any other thoughts you'd like to share! Send a textIn the last episode, we talked about when the apostles were baptized in the Holy Spirit on Pentecost in Acts chapter 2. We then began discussing when Cornelius and his family and friends were baptized in the Holy Spirit as recorded in Acts chapter 10. We read the entire chapter, 48 verses, in sections with short comments regarding what was recorded. We noticed that in verses 1 through 8 Cornelius is described as an Italian military man and consequently a Gentile and a devout man. These verses describe how Cornelius was addressed by an angel and told to go to Joppa and seek Peter the apostle. In the next section, verses 9-16, Peter has a vision to teach him that Gentiles are acceptable to God under the New Testament just as Jews are. In verses 17-33 we note that those Cornelius sent to seek Peter arrived to tell Peter to come to his house. At his house, Peter and Cornelius described what they were told. The record of Peter's sermon is contained in verses 34-43. In verses 44-48 we find that the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word. We discuss what Peter said. In particular the fact that God shows no partiality and accepts any who will obey Him. We discuss what Peter said in Acts 2:38 and note that even though the Holy Spirit fell on those in Cornelius' house, they were still commanded to be baptized in water, the name of the Lord. We have seen two examples of the baptism of the Holy Spirit and we believe these are the only ones in the New Testament except the special occasion when the Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus in Marl 1:10. In the next episode, we will begin looking at the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the miracles related to that. Take about 30-minutes to listen in on our discussion. Have your Bible handy so you can verify what we are saying. There is a transcript of this Buzzsprout episode provided for your convenience.

What if obedience doesn't lead to the breakthrough you expected? Andy and Serena Ryan did "the right things." They took a biblical money course. They committed to tithing. They tried to steward their finances faithfully. And then everything fell apart. They lost income. Fell behind on rent. Needed food pantries and church assistance. And eventually—after months of praying for a miracle—they packed up their family and moved into an RV in someone else's backyard. This episode isn't a prosperity story. It's a surrender story. In one of the most vulnerable conversations we've ever had on the podcast, Andy and Serena share how their financial collapse became the very thing God used to reshape their hearts, heal their marriage, humble their pride, and prepare them to steward money in a way they never could before. Their turnaround didn't come from a check in the mail. It came when they stopped clinging to how they thought life had to go—and released it to God. In this episode, we talk about: Why radical generosity without clarity can still lead to chaos The hidden danger of "YOLO money" and living paycheck-to-paycheck—even with faith What it feels like to receive help when you've always been the helper The difference between humility and humiliation How to discern God's voice when everyone around you is saying something different Why surrender often comes before provision—not after How living with less brought more joy, peace, and community than they'd ever known What changed when they finally stopped fighting God's plan and trusted His timing Andy and Serena also share how God eventually restored stability—not instantly, not painlessly, but faithfully—and how they're now paying off debt, rebuilding their credit, and stewarding money with a completely new mindset. If you're walking through financial stress, uncertainty, or a season that doesn't look anything like what you prayed for, this conversation will remind you: rock bottom is not the end of your story. "Sometimes the things we look to for hope are the very things we need to release to God." Scripture referenced (NLT): "If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones…" — Luke 16:10 "That is why we never give up… our present troubles are small and won't last very long." — 2 Corinthians 4:16–17 This episode is for encouragement and education—not individualized financial advice. Netflix (NFLX) users continue to binge shows and movies on the streaming giant's platform. However, as LikeFolio's Andy Swan points out, it set "unsustainable" expectations for its industry dominance. Andy highlights areas where Netflix needs to improve in order to set a renewed path back to all-time highs. LikeFolio's data shows the company has lost significant traction compared to competitors in Paramount Skydance (PSKY), Warner Bros. What happens when your body begins to fail—and no one can tell you why? In this powerful episode of The Health Detective Podcast, Katie shares her deeply personal health journey through sudden illness, mold exposure, and the long road back to healing. What started as an unexplainable health collapse quickly became a life-altering wake-up call—one that forced her to become her own #1 advocate. At the time, Katie was juggling a brand-new baby and running a busy retail jewelry store she had just opened in downtown Greenville, South Carolina. Despite the obvious stressors, the severity and speed of her illness didn't make sense. Traditional medicine offered endless testing, referrals, medications, and even repeat surgeries—but no real answers, no roadmap, and no explanation for why her body was responding the way it was. Refusing to accept a life of unanswered questions, Katie dove headfirst into functional medicine, investing countless hours, resources, and education to uncover the root cause of her symptoms. Along the way, she discovered that there is always a reason the body responds the way it does—and that healing is possible when you find the right method and the right help. Episode 87 of She Said It First is peak Jerrilyn and Lynee’—equal parts chaos, comedy, and “girl, let me tell you what happened.” The ladies kick things off with a petty Olympics update: Jerrilyn’s irritated with everything (including her house making paranormal noises), and Lynee’s dragging Corey Holcomb, Aries Spears, and every “same text, different font” comedian who insists on talking slick about Black women while looking like hypertension personified. Between swollen eye canals (a new medical term?) and DMs full of mucus-sounding voice notes, the two roast these men so thoroughly they could file it under community service. From there, the episode pivots into Valentine’s Day—its messy Roman fertility-festival origins, overblown modern expectations, and the universal heartbreak of receiving absolutely nothing from someone who claims to love you. The ladies keep it hilariously honest: if your partner only performs romance on February 14th, that’s not love, that’s emotional DoorDash. And yet, in the spirit of the episode title, both hosts reflect on the joy of gifting themselves, loving themselves, and choosing partners who show up the other 364 days of the year. Because it’s Black History Month, the duo highlight Black brilliance—from Gladys West (GPS queen!) to the Super Soaker creator Lonnie Johnson—while celebrating the magic, versatility, and sheer audacity of Black womanhood. They wrap with a real talk moment about mental health in the middle of political chaos, reminding listeners that laughter is medicine, protecting your peace is essential, and sometimes the most revolutionary thing you can do is choose joy… and maybe “whoop they ass” when necessary. According to the unsealed affidavit, witnesses told investigators Michael McKee strangled Monique Tepe during their marriage, forced unwanted sex on her, and told her he could end her life whenever he wanted. She divorced him in 2017 after seven months. No police report. No protective order. She told friends and family she was afraid—then got up every morning and lived her life. Fell in love again. Married Spencer. Raised two children.Strangulation is one of the most significant predictors of future lethality in domestic violence research. If McKee did what witnesses allege, Monique was in extreme danger from the moment she left. Rob Misleh said publicly the family didn't fully understand the threats were real until it was too late.Psychotherapist Shavaun Scott has spent thirty years working with survivors of intimate partner violence. She's also a survivor—her ex-husband died by revenge suicide after she asked for divorce. She explains why there's so often a gap between what victims communicate and what the people who love them hear. What does eight years of constant threat assessment do psychologically? Then there's the defendant's response. The state has surveillance footage, ballistics, a cell phone that went dark, years of documented threats. McKee pleaded not guilty. A hundred-foot fall at 12,500 feet. A freezing night without shelter. Storms, thin air, and two helicopters fighting for lift. That's where Mark Wellman's story begins—and somehow not where it ends. We sat down with Mark at the Abilities Expo in Dallas to trace the path from a Sierra accident in 1982 to an ascent of El Capitan seven years later built on 7,000 pull-ups, custom gear, and a mindset that refuses to stall.Mark walks us through the mechanics of survival and the reality of rehab—seven months in hospital back then versus the compressed timelines many face today. He shares how PNF-based therapy rebuilt confidence, how depression tried to fill the gaps when therapy stopped, and why adaptive sports like wheelchair tennis and swimming became a lifeline. From there, we step into Yosemite: ranger days in the Valley, the culture of big walls, and the nuts-and-cams vocabulary of modern climbing. Mark breaks down aid systems, fall factors, dynamic ropes, and the dreaded zipper effect with the clarity of a coach who's been on the sharp end and lived to translate it.The ingenuity is as compelling as the grit. With his late partner Mike Corbett, Mark stitched “rock chaps” from canvas and leather to protect insensate skin during multi-day ascents. He explains chest-mounted ascenders and the way peregrine falcons sound like jets when the canyon turns into an echo chamber. We also get candid about the disability community: the balance between hope and acceptance, the legacy of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, and why community programs and expos matter for turning curiosity into action. If resilience had a blueprint, this conversation sketches it—practical, honest, and grounded in systems you can use. Witnesses told investigators Michael McKee strangled Monique Tepe during their marriage, forced unwanted sex on her, and told her directly he could end her life whenever he wanted. She divorced him in 2017 after seven months. She never filed a police report. She never obtained a protective order. She told friends and family she was afraid—and then she lived her life anyway. Fell in love again. Married Spencer. Raised two children.Strangulation is one of the most significant predictors of future lethality in domestic violence research. If McKee did what witnesses allege, Monique was statistically in extreme danger from the moment she left. She knew it. Her family knew something was wrong. Rob Misleh said publicly they didn't fully understand the threats were real until it was too late.Psychotherapist Shavaun Scott has spent thirty years working with survivors of intimate partner violence—and she's a survivor herself. Her ex-husband died by revenge suicide after she asked for divorce. She explains why there's so often a gap between what victims communicate and what the people who love them actually hear. What does eight years of constant threat assessment do to someone psychologically? Then there's McKee's courtroom behavior. The state has surveillance footage, a ballistics match, a cell phone that went dark during the murder window, and years of documented threats. His response: not guilty plea. Waived bail hearing but reserved the right to revisit—a chess move, not surrender. Scott analyzes defendants who treat courtrooms like arenas. Ted Bundy represented himself. Scott Peterson watched his trial like a spectator. Chris Watts tried to con detectives days after killing his family. The theory: the detachment that lets someone sit calmly facing murder charges is the same detachment that allegedly let them pull the trigger.#MichaelMcKee #MoniqueTepe #SpencerTepe #ShavaunScott #Strangulation #DomesticViolence #ForensicPsychology #NarcissisticGrandiosity #TrueCrime #HiddenKillersLiveJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?
