Hey guys! On this show, co-hosted by Brad Fugere and Brandon Horvath, we'll be doing a deep dive on established businesses while sipping on whiskey, wine, and even a beer or two (not all at the same time!). Our goal is to break down what made the business successful and to brainstorm how we can apply it to our own small businesses.

As someone that does commercial video production for a living, I get particularly excited when we dive into a brand like Yeti. Their marketing & branding is somewhat magical and legendary, turning a household commodity into a luxury item and status symbol. On today's episode, we talk about the marketing and branding behind Yeti. I also happened to go shopping for a cooler on this same day – find out at the end of the episode if I became a fanboy like Brandon, or if I went a different direction with my cooler purchase.
By now, the term social distancing is nothing new – and neither is the video chat software Zoom. As COVID-19 introduced a new set of social rules that required people to be distant while still trying to go on with life as normal, Zoom had already set up a video chat platform that was so easy to use your grandmother could use it. (Seriously, we had Easter lunch with my in-law's parents over Zoom and it was a breeze.) While other programs require a software install, Zoom only required a link to set up a quick chat. In this episode, we discuss Zoom's rapid rise to the top of video chat platforms & how removing common frictions to using their online software may have led them to be the clear cut winner.
For today's Boozy Business episode, we're highlighting a local business who's managed to pivot successfully during COVID-19: Crystal Ridge Distillery. We're joined by their head of Marketing, Asher Bradley, as we discuss how COVID-19 has affected their business & operations, and how they made the decision to pivot to a new product – hand sanitizer – to keep business rolling and help their local community during this tough time.
Brand loyalty is a tricky thing. It seems to be something that can't be bought... only attained through authentic attention to the consumer. In this episode, we dive into Harley Davidson & brand loyalty.
COVID has thrown everything off! (I'm sure you can relate.) We're releasing some of our old episodes now that things are started to head towards normal, but since we released a COVID special edition episode as episode #2, our episode count is off. So while we call this episode #4 on the show, it's actually #5. Episode #5 of Boozy Business – Dollar Shave Club – Enjoy!
Hello again! Welcome to Episode 3 of Boozy Business. On today's episode, we're doing a deep dive into one of my favorite small brands, Norlan. Never heard of them? Give today's episode a listen to find out what they're all about.
Manscape • verb (used with or without object), man·scaped, man·scap·ing. • (of a man) to remove (unwanted body hair other than scalp hair) by waxing, shaving, etc.: "It may be time to manscape your hairy back again." Hey there! Thanks for tuning in to Boozy Business for our 2nd Episode, featuring Manscaped! On this episode, we discuss the bold marketing that led Manscaped to build a brand so well known, it's now a word in the dictionary... We also break down how we can apply these marketing ideas to our own small businesses. As with all new things, the format takes us a little while to completely nail down, so bear with us!
Hey guys, Brad here - although we're one episode in (and have about 5 more episodes recorded), we're taking a step back from our original podcast format to do a more coronavirus centric episode. And if this thing lasts as long as they say it will, we'll be back with another COVID-19 episode soon. Join me and Brandon as we have a freewheeling conversation about what coronavirus is doing to small businesses and how we, as small business owners, are challenging ourselves in the wake of it all.
Hey there! Thanks for tuning in to Episode 1 of Boozy Business, featuring Peloton. On this episode, we discuss the marketing snafu that Peloton recently found themselves in, how they managed to bounce back, and what we can learn from it all. As with all new things, the format takes us a little while to completely nail down, so bear with us!
