You'll learn how to slow down the “react” impulse, understand what your body is telling you in real time, and make choices from clarity instead of old, unprocessed emotional patterns.Learn how to recognise and name what you're feeling so emotions stop staying vague, overwhelming, and controlling.Discover how breath and body awareness help you respond instead of react, especially in moments where you normally get carried away.Understand how unprocessed emotions shape your choices (often through fear and avoidance) and how to start clearing what's been stored so your decisions become freer and more aligned.Press play to learn a simple, practical way to work with emotions so you can make calmer, clearer decisions - even when life hits hard˚KEY POINTS AND TIMESTAMPS:00:02 - Introduction to Emotions as Messages01:32 - Understanding the Purpose and Nature of Emotions05:13 - Reacting vs Responding: Using Breath and Awareness12:13 - Personal Story of Anger and Conscious Emotional Response18:53 - Exploring Emotional Stories and Self-Inquiry21:51 - How Unprocessed Emotions Affect Decisions25:10 - Processing Fear Through Personal Reflection29:32 - Practical Daily Techniques: Mindfulness and Journaling33:21 - Where to Find Sophie's Work and Final Reflections˚MEMORABLE QUOTE:"Every time we react, we can choose to respond instead."˚VALUABLE RESOURCES:Sophie's website: https://www.ayuryogawithsophie.com/˚Coaching with Agi: https://personaldevelopmentmasterypodcast.com/mentor˚

Episode #1109 A common struggle for married businessmen is the feeling of walking on eggshells. You want to lead your family, but instead, you find yourself reacting to your wife's moods or constantly explaining your actions in hopes of avoiding conflict. This cycle creates a household where passion is replaced by the sterile relationship of roommates, and emotional safety the foundation of any thriving marriage is lost. In this episode, Doug Holt is joined by TPM advisor Chris to break down the "Triad of Connection," a fundamental methodology for moving a marriage out of neutral and back into a state of desire and respect . They explore why a woman needs to feel seen and heard before she can truly feel safe, and how most men accidentally sabotage this by falling into the "DEER" trap: Defending, Excusing, Explaining, and Reacting . Beyond the home, the conversation shifts to the weight of leadership. When you start showing up as a grounded man, others friends, family, and colleagues will naturally begin to look to you for guidance . Doug explains how to set firm boundaries to avoid burnout and why "pouring from a full cup" is not just a cliché, but a requirement for any man who wants to be a hero to his family without resenting them in the process . Listeners will also get practical advice on crowdsourcing new date night inspirations and the importance of taking leadership in planning adventures that actually interest them, rather than just guessing what their wife wants. If you are ready to stop walking on eggshells and want to see the specific methodology for fixing what is broken in your relationship, I have a free training that shows you exactly how the scales in your marriage tipped and how to bring them back in your favor. You can access this training and take the next step toward reclaiming your marriage at  https://fixmarriage.thepowerfulman.com/scales .

Chelsea were the better team for 75 minutes in Paris and somehow contrived to lose 5-2 in one of the most catastrophic second-half collapses this club has ever produced in European football. Filip Jorgensen was an absolute disaster between the sticks, and the decision to make him first-choice goalkeeper now looks not just questionable but potentially season-defining in the worst possible way.Manny is back and both hosts come out swinging in what is one of the most explosive episodes in Chelsea Against The World history. Simon and Manny do not hold back on Jorgensen, on Liam Rosenior's baffling goalkeeping decision, on a defensive unit that fell apart completely, and on a club that somehow managed to be embarrassing whilst being the better side for three quarters of a Champions League tie. How does that even happen? The hosts take a hard look at the bigger picture — this is not just about one goalkeeper or one bad half. This is about a pattern of catastrophic decision-making at Chelsea that runs from the dugout upward. Rosenior's insistence on Jorgensen as number one has been questioned all season, and Paris may well be the moment that defines his tenure at the club in the most painful way imaginable. Is the Champions League over? Almost certainly. But more urgently — what does this collapse say about where Chelsea truly are as a club, and who is actually accountable when it all falls apart so spectacularly and so repeatedly?

This episode is a re-air of one of our most popular conversations, featuring insights worth revisiting. This week on The Data Stack Show, John and Matt bring you another edition of the Cynical Data Guy. John and Matt dive into the evolution of customer data infrastructure, the growing influence of low-code tools like Clay, and the blurred lines around the “engineer” title in modern data roles. They also discuss the trade-offs between SaaS adoption and building custom solutions, the pitfalls of enterprise software buying, and the realities of platform lock-in—using Palantir's unique business model as a case study. Key takeaways include the importance of simplicity and scalability in data engineering, the need for clear requirements when evaluating tools, and a healthy skepticism toward sales pitches and “art of the possible” features. Prosperity Pep Talk: My Non-Negotiables In Spiritual Leadership {What I look for in a mentor, and the standards I hold myself to.}I saw a big-name spiritual leader say “don't talk politics, it might cost you followers” — and I have thoughts. Here's the truth: some things aren't politics. They're human rights, dignity, and liberation. And as spiritual leaders, we cannot stay silent. In today's Pep Talk, I dive deep into what it truly means to lead with integrity, reverence, and courage as a spiritual leader and why naming systemic harm isn't “politics,” it's part of the healing work. Here's what you'll get from this episode:Standards I hold as a leader – what I expect from myself and the mentors I choose.Mentorship insights – why the right mentor helps you expand your capacity for discomfort, release old stories, and step fully into your magic.Healing is systemic – why personal empowerment alone isn't enough if we ignore the patriarchal and oppressive systems that shape our lives.Values over profit – how spiritual leaders can speak up for human rights, environmental reverence, and dignity without fear of “losing followers.”Practical inspiration – what it looks like to navigate discomfort, cultivate resilience, and show up for collective liberation.I have more to say on this soooo - I'll do Part Two TOMORROW! We'll go even deeper into mentorship, leadership, and how to navigate these conversations in your own work.✨ Explore the Priestess Path to Liberation and do your own deep inner work: live.theselflovelifestyle.com/liberation

Departures define Day 1 One day into the NFL legal tampering period, the Detroit Lions saw exits, not arrivals. Four Lions agreed to terms elsewhere. Those agreements are not official until the league year opens Wednesday. Nothing meaningful has landed on the incoming side yet, especially on defense. It is early. Less than 24 hours in. But the shape of the roster is shifting. Alex Anzalone to Tampa Bay Linebacker Alex Anzalone is headed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The reported deal is two years for $17 million. He is 32. He has an injury history, though he has been largely durable in Detroit outside of a broken forearm. Tampa Bay gets help. Detroit loses a starting linebacker. Taylor Decker was released. He is no longer with the Detroit Lions. That move stood out as the only fully completed transaction on Day 1. Cap math squeezes the middle This is the cost of a top-heavy roster. Big deals for core stars like Jared Goff, Penei Sewell, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Aidan Hutchinson, and Kirby Joseph crowd the middle tier. The Lions also chose to pay Derrick Barnes on a three-year, $24 million deal. You cannot carry that many linebackers at premium rates. Paying a third linebacker $8.5 million per year does not fit when the top of the pyramid is that heavy. Decisions have consequences. Scheme pivots and the RB plan Detroit leaned on three-linebacker packages more than any other team last season. With Anzalone gone, a pivot makes sense. A 4-2-5 structure is on the table. Two linebackers with five defensive linemen in certain fronts. A full-time slot defender. More snaps for a hybrid linebacker-safety type. That path matches the personnel pressures and modern NFL spacing. The backfield changes too with David Montgomery departing. Late last season, once Dan Campbell took over the offense, the second back settled into 8–12 touches per game. That should hold. Feature Jameer Gibbs. Keep the ball with Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and Sam LaPorta. The No. 2 running back should complement, not command, the attack. He will not be the reason you win many games. Day 1 brought more subtraction than addition for the Detroit Lions. The next moves will signal whether this front office leans into lighter boxes, faster coverage, and a clearer pecking order at running back. The window just opened. The blueprint is already visible. #detroitlions #lions #detroitlionspodcast #nflfreeagency #taylordecker #cademays #alexanzalone #bradholmes #larryborom Learn more about your ad choices.
