Yeti, nessi, kraken... La criptozoología es uno de los temas clásicos del mundo del misterio. Para hablar de este asunto hemos ido en busca de Javier Linares, autor, hace tres años, del último libro que se ha publicado sobre el tema.
Can everyone hear me? Great, welcome to The Yeti is Still Broken. Soon, you're gonna have a chance to undertake an amazing Na'vi rite of passage: listening to 4 white men talk, or as we call it, podcasting. Okay, um, first we need to find a compatible match of where you listen to podcasts. Once we do that, you'll be able to hear us talk about the ride Flight of Passage at Disney's Animal Kingdom, and, uh, enjoy!

Tonight's guest, Jonathan Downes, is the Director of The Center for Fortean Zoology, in Scottland. Jonathan founded The Center for Fortean Zoology 32 years ago, so this isn't a new venture for him. When you consider all of the experience he has researching sightings and legends of unclassified creatures, how could there be a better eyewitness to come on the show to talk about a cryptid sighting he had? What Jonathan saw is called a woodwose. The term woodwose is in reference to what is believed to be a mythological being that is characterized by an untamed, wild, and hairy appearance. To some, they're known as wild men. Others consider them to be the British equivalent to bigfoot. Nevertheless, in January of 2003, Jonathan saw a woodwose, and that experience is what Jonathan is going to be talking about on tonight's show. We hope you'll tune in and listen to him do that.If you'd like to visit the Center for Fortean Zoology's website, please go to…CFZ.org.ukIf you'd like to visit the Center for Fortean Zoology's YouTube Channel, please go to… https://www.youtube.com/@cfztvIf you've had a Sasquatch sighting and would like to be a guest on the show, please go to BigfootEyewitness.com and let me know.

A Monster Took Her Away From HImRobin, born in the late 1950s to hippie parents, grew up on a communal farm in California. Facing frequent police scrutiny and societal rejection due to his unconventional upbringing, he found solace in his relationship with Sky, a girl from a prominent local family. Despite her father's disapproval, they spent their teenage years together, culminating in a camping trip in the mountains after high school graduation in the early 1970s. During the trip, their camp was disturbed by strange noises and missing food, and on the third night, a large, ape-like creature attacked, knocking Robin aside and abducting Sky. Despite his efforts to chase them, Robin lost her trail and was later found by police. Charged with Sky's kidnapping and murder due to lack of evidence supporting his Bigfoot encounter, he was convicted after a brief trial where he defended himself, leading to 48 years in prison. Haunted by Sky's memory, Robin endured isolation, sedated stints in a mental health facility, and ongoing grief, maintaining her image through his artwork and tattoos for fellow inmates. He remains incarcerated, yearning for Sky and hoping she did not suffer.Join my Supporters Club for $4.99 per month for exclusive stories:https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/what-if-it-s-true-podcast--5445587/support
Tonight's guest, Kirk Brandenburg, is a Sasquatch investigator who is based in Washington State. Kirk does most of his investigating in the Cascade Mountains but occasionally heads over to the Olympics or North Central Washington to look for evidence. Kirk has been interested in Sasquatch for as long as he can remember but what really set the hook in him was a conversation he had with a coworker, at a work-related party. You see, at that party, one of Kirk's coworkers told him about a Sasquatch encounter he'd had. After listening to that coworker talk about his experience, Kirk had officially caught the Bigfoot bug. Never in his wildest dreams did Kirk ever think he'd go on to have his own experiences with Sasquatch but that's exactly what happened. He also never would have thought he'd be responsible for helping to develop a new technology for more effective thermal vision technology but that's exactly what he went on to do. On tonight's show, he's going to share some of his experiences with you and talk about that new thermal vision technology. We hope you'll tune in, so you can listen to him do that.Kirk has a YouTube channel called “Study Sasquatch.” If you'd like to check it out his Study Sasquatch YouTube Channel, which we hope you will, please visit…https://www.youtube.com/@studysasquatchHere's a link to part 1 of the New Mexico video Kirk mentioned…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XQmXqMqELMHere's a link to part 2 of the New Mexico video Kirk mentioned…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zP4EbmWwfqUHere's a link to the Log Peeker Video Kirk mentioned filming in the Blue Mountains…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANf3UoovssMHere's a link to the video where Kirk, Doug Howe, and Boyd Omer went back to the North Cascades to revisit the place where Kirk had his sighting…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxgjgBV9YIEIf you've had a Sasquatch sighting and would like to be a guest on the show, please go to BigfootEyewitness.com and let me know. This week on Cowboy Shit, we sit down with Shawn Wiese, a cowboy whose story runs deeper than the rodeo arena. Growing up in a farming and ranching family in Southeast Texas, Shawn carried his roots into a 15-year bull riding career, with 12 years spent in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. But his legacy didn't stop there. Shawn became a trailblazer in the business side of Western sports, founding XD Sports, where he pioneered corporate partnerships that brought household names like Monster Energy, Yeti, and Levi's into bull riding. He later launched Vexil Brand, a Western lifestyle clothing company that embodies grit, authenticity, and the cowboy way of life. Alongside his ventures, he raises registered Brahman cattle through Vexil Cattle Co., continuing his deep connection to ranching heritage. Tune in as Shawn shares stories from the rodeo road, lessons from building two successful brands, and his vision for keeping the Western lifestyle alive for generations to come.

This one is for the diehards. On Friday, August 29th, 2025 we held a Launch Party for Episode 500 in the NoPro Discord. We had no idea who would show up.To our delight Jacob Patterson, who you had a chance to hear in the last part of the marathon, ARGN's Michael Anderson — who gives us a spoiler-free expectation set on Masquerade, the immersive Phantom currently in previews in New York City, NoPro correspondent Briana Roecks who shares some Spooky Season anticipation for both LA and Las Vegas, and drop-ins from Laura Hall and Cameo Wood as well. It's a hangout episode and fair warning: the audio quality is sub-par in the extreme! I'm even on my Airpods because I was so exhausted from editing and being on the Yeti for hours on end that I just jammed the Pods in my ears and forgot how bad they would sound. So if you skip this because it sounds mid, I won't take offense. This one, as they say, is for the sickos. But if you do stick around, well: you're a real one, and all the copious links in the show notes below are going to make sense.SHOW NOTESTammany Hall is a Petco: Zohran's Summer Scavenger HuntMasqueradeMajestic Rep Las VegasPeople In the Dark: An Immersive Ghost StoryThe WillowsThe Haunted SoireeThe Wild, Citywide Scavenger Hunt That Ate San Francisco (Wired)Santa's Village Where Dark Things DwellJunior's at Resorts WorldThe Beast @ Area 15DASH – Different Area, Same Hunt‘The Long Walk' Turns Screening Into Endurance Test With 3 MPH Treadmill Rule (The Wrap)'What the f--- is this?': What Darren Aronofsky has to do with new payphones in NYC (Gothamist)Why Did the Indie Film Studio A24 Buy an Off Broadway Theater? EPISODE 11: THE STAGES OF GRIEF: DAY DRINKING In this throwback episode, I'm taking you back to 2020, just weeks after my mom died. I recorded this in my sister's backyard with a Yeti cup full of red wine, a little weed, and a whole lot of shock and anger. I talk about what it felt like to face my mom's birthday after losing her, the fog of grief brain, how we distract ourselves from pain, and the strange mix of heartbreak and release that comes with loss. It's messy, unpolished, and painfully real but that's grief. And if you're in the thick of it, I hope this episode reminds you that you're not alone. Tonight's guest, Don Widner, has been hunting and tracking Sasquatch for 8 years now, in Western Kentucky. Due to his interest in Sasquatch, he is the founder and president of Western Kentucky Bigfoot and Paranormal Investigations LLC. That was his first experience with a Sasquatch, but it wasn't his last one. We hope you'll tune in and listen to him share the details of that experience and more. Hello my friends in Monsterland, join us tonight the 26th of August on The Untold Radio Networks "Real American Monsters" at 8 p.m. EST for another great guest. Tonight we will be talking to a man who lives a life few of us could ever imagine. He's Kain Michael, and for over a decade, he's been the founder of House of Enoch, a site dedicated to unraveling the Sasquatch phenomenon for more than a decade. But there's a twist in this story: He doesn't do this from a desk in a city. He does it from a remote, 750-acre property in the Hocking Hills of Ohio. He's not just a researcher; he's an explorer, having hiked over 3,000 miles off-trail across these United States. Get ready to step into the world of a modern-day woodland spirit , a man who lives off the grid to uncover the secrets from the past. You won't want to miss this." If you dont walk away with something new after this one I would be very suprised.
My story took place south of Bear Mountain in La Flore County. My husband and I had a three-year-old and were tired of the hustle and bustle. So, for my birthday, he surprised me with an empty shell cabin on the mountain. We both loved the outdoors. Even though I am a little lady, I still like to go hunting, hiking, and any other outdoor activity to prove I'm as good as the best of them. It was fitting that my husband moved me to this beautiful mountain. My husband drove a truck six months out of the ear, leaving me alone, but we both felt safe making the move. Our cabin was finished in time for winter, which was right around the corner. One day, my son and I were home alone. It was about dusk, but still nice and warm outside. While my son played in the baby pool, I sat on the porch with a cup of coffee and enjoyed myself. He and I always heard things like knocking when we were outside, but we were in the woods after all, and I have always been open to anything new out there. As we were sitting there, we heard growling and laughter. That was no ordinary forest noise, so I went and got my Ruger. When I came back, my son was pointing to the burn pile, saying, “Boogie Man!”I froze. There at the burn pile stood four Bigfoots. The male was at least eight feet tall. Next to him was a mother and two younger ones. She was holding one of them as she squatted next to the pile and gnawed on an old ham bone. The other young one had his hand on his mother's shoulder, staring at us in disbelief, just like we were staring at him. The stench coming from them was so strong that I almost lost my cookies. “They need a bath,” my son blurted out. I burst out laughing—out the mouth of babes, as they say. I never did raise my pistol, but the big guy kept his eye on it, so he must have known what it was. After that experience, I started leaving more food out by the burn pile. Nothing much, just scraps from a hunt or apples and things. We never saw them again, but we could hear them in the woods still and knew they got our gifts. Oddly enough, they would leave us gifts in return. A stack of rocks they built for us was still there when we left the cabin years later. My son is thirty now, and my husband is gone, but I will never forget my time on that enchanting mountain. Even though my son says he doesn't remember, I'm glad for the time we had with our forest neighbors.Join my Supporters Club for $4.99 per month for exclusive stories:https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/what-if-it-s-true-podcast--5445587/support

Tonight's guest, Karl Sieling, had his Bigfoot sighting in 1976 while he was walking down a set of railroad tracks, in a heavily forested area, near Newtown, Connecticut. When his sighting happened, he was on the way to his buddy's house. Sometimes, he would walk or bike about a mile and a half to his buddy's house, using roads in the area. This day, he decided to walk on a set of train tracks that ran right past his house, through a forest and then right past his buddy's house. If he walked the tracks, instead of taking roads in the area, he'd save himself about a half mile on the trip. He had walked those tracks, to his buddy's house, numerous times before without any incident. This time, however, his walk would be anything but uneventful. If you've had a Sasquatch sighting in Kentucky that you'd like to share with Karl, please go the Connecticut Bigfoot Research Facebook Page, at https://www.facebook.com/groups/582437174638861/ or contact him via email, at CTBigfootResearch@gmail.comIf you've had a Sasquatch sighting and would like to be a guest on the show, please go to BigfootEyewitness.com and let me know. Bigfoot and BoogaladamooshIn the early 1980s, my family and I lived in a big old house in the little town of Saint Leonard, New Brunswick, Canada. It was a two-story home built in the early 1900s. My father bought it from a man who was reluctant to sell it, but had no choice. My father had done some renovations on the house, but mainly on the first floor. The second floor he had left as it was. At the top of the stairs, there was a full bathroom, and left of the bathroom was my parents' room. Down the hall was my bedroom, and beyond that was my little brother's room. I was a bit of a scaredy cat. Being young, I was unable to sleep in the dark. So my mother would leave the bathroom light on and my bedroom door open. One night, I had awoken from a deep sleep. I wasn't prone to waking up in the middle of the night at that age; it was more like something woke me up. I looked down at my feet, and sitting on the footboard of my bed was a hideous creature. It had white horns and large, yellow, bulging eyes. Long fangs protruded from its mouth, and its small hand had claws that seemed to be digging into my footboard. I screamed, jumped out of my bed, and ran to my parents' room, completely hysterical. My father was a man's man and didn't care for this sort of behavior from his son, but when I described what I saw, he seemed concerned. My parents turned on the light in my room and looked around. My mother checked on my little brother, who was fine. And I got to sleep with my parents that night, something my father didn't really usually permit.I was wary of going to bed for a while, but I never saw it again. Years later, my parents told me they were concerned when I described my nocturnal visitor, because one of my father's uncles described seeing the exact same thing out in the woods a couple of months earlier. Apparently, there was a group of these sorts of creatures that chased my great-uncle out of the woods. They terrified him, and he died not long after that event. Fast forward to 1994. I was attending the University of Maine at Fort Kent, and I had the honor of knowing a man named Guy Frigon. He was a shaman of the local First Nation tribe of Maliseets. Considering that some members of my family are of First Nations descent, I decided to ask him about what my great-uncle and I saw. Mr. Frigon listened to my story as we sat in the student lounge at UMFK. He said, “Well, you saw a Boogaladamoosh.” Mr. Frigon went on to tell me that my great-uncle had somehow offended them, and that's why they chased him out of the woods. He went on to explain that they were similar to what Europeans would call elves or gnomes. He was uncertain as to why one would have visited me, since I had nothing to do with the offence my uncle committed. Mr. Frigon guessed that it may have sensed I had shamanic abilities. He went on to invite me to a sweat lodge, and that I would possibly get the chance to see them again. I assured Mr. Frigon that though his invitation was generous, my faith wouldn't allow any such thing. I thanked him for the invitation, though, and for the wisdom he imparted. I, nor anyone else in my family, has ever encountered this sort of being ever again.
