Nightfall With a DogmanAfter fifteen years as a patrol officer and SWAT operator, a veteran responds to a frantic 911 call on a stormy October night: an elderly rancher reports a monstrous black creature—tall, fast, with eyes like fire—mauling his livestock. Arriving at the isolated property, the officer finds the chicken coop and lamb pen in savage ruin: birds shredded beyond recognition, six lambs mangled with impossible force, their bodies twisted and torn. Massive bipedal tracks, nearly seventeen inches long with clawed toes, confirm something unnatural walked upright through the mud. Drawn into the black pines by the old man's terrified warning that “it watches,” the officer confronts the entity: a hulking shadow with glowing red eyes seven feet high, radiating pure hate. A deep growl vibrates through his chest, followed by an inhuman shriek that silences the storm; the creature vanishes as quickly as it appeared. Backup searches yield nothing more, and the incident is logged as a routine “suspicious circumstance / possible livestock mauling.” The old man flees, abandoning the cursed ranch to rot. Tonight's guest, Monty, has had two cryptid encounters. He's only going to share the first one on tonight's show, because that was his only Sasquatch encounter. The second encounter was with a Dogman. When Monty had his Sasquatch encounter, he was only 16 years old. He had his little brother Robbie and a good friend, John, with him when it happened. What started out as a fun camping trip, up on the mountain behind Monty and Robbie's home turned out to be the most frightening experience either of them had had, until that point. That night, one thing led to another and the next thing the boys knew, they were all  running for their lives down the mountain, trying to make it to the relative safety of their home. What happened? Sasquatch Terror for HikersIn 2016, while driving from Los Angeles to Portland with his girlfriend and detouring for off-roading in his new Jeep, the narrator and his partner heard repeated blood-curdling screams echoing through remote mountain roads, sounding like a woman in distress. They dismissed it at the time, but later at a tourist spot they discovered a guest book filled with locals' Bigfoot sightings, planting the first seed of curiosity in his mind. Four years later, now a committed Bigfoot believer with a new Jeep Rubicon, a massive Mastiff, and a new girlfriend, he set out on what seemed like a routine hike in the mountains near central LA County. As they descended into a bowl-shaped valley, they encountered a series of increasingly large piles of freshly uprooted shrubs and bushes deliberately blocking the narrow trail—plants too tough for any human to pull bare-handed—followed by twisted and braided tree branches high overhead. The climax came at a massive 9-foot-wide, 6-foot-tall wall of freshly torn trees and debris that completely sealed the path; after pushing through, they felt intensely watched, heard sprinting footsteps, and glimpsed a large figure scrambling up a steep cliff and hiding behind bushes, rocks tumbling in its wake. Years afterward, while camping with a friend in a Sequoia grove in Yosemite's Sierra National Forest, the narrator heard slow, deliberate knocking sounds coming from the tree line across a clearing—sounds that ceased whenever anyone approached within 25 feet and resumed once they retreated, as if something were playfully interacting with them. Today we are asking the question: Why did Paul write this letter? First, it isvery obvious that Paul wrote this letter because the Holy Spirit of the livingGod inspired him to write it. God wanted this letter to become part of thecanon of Scripture—the Word of God that we have for us today.  God'splan was that this book—written to encourage believers during a difficult timein history—would also be a book that we would need today. It is part of theeternal Word of God. How about that? That is the number one reason Paul wrotethis book. Likemany of Paul's letters in the New Testament, Philippians was written to addresscertain needs and situations within the church. However, unlike some otherletters such as 1 Corinthians, there were very few serious problems in thiscongregation. Here are several reasons we find inthe letter itself for why Paul wrote it. First,Paul wanted to thank them for the generous gift they had sent to him. Philippians4:18 says: “But I have all and abound. I am full, having received fromEpaphroditus the things which were sent from you.” Epaphroditus had beensent from the church at Philippi to Rome to deliver this gift to the ApostlePaul while he was in prison. That gift helped meet Paul's needs while he wasunder house arrest there in Rome. Second,Paul wanted to update them about his circumstances. In Philippians 1:12 Paulwrites: “But I want you to know, brethren, that the things whichhappened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel”. Eventhough he was a prisoner—often chained between Roman guards—Paul explains thatthose very circumstances were helping the gospel spread. The guards werehearing the message of Jesus Christ, and other believers were becoming morebold as they saw what God was doing through Paul. So Paul writes to describehis situation and update them, because no doubt they loved him deeply andwanted to know how he was doing. Third,Paul was sending Epaphroditus back to them. In Philippians 2:25, Paul writes: “YetI considered it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellowworker, and fellow soldier, but your messenger and the one who ministered to myneed.” Paul goes on to explain that Epaphroditus had been very sick—almostto the point of death—and the believers in Philippi had heard about it and wereconcerned. Paul wanted them to know that he had recovered and was doing well.So Epaphroditus would carry this letter back to the church when he returned. Fourth,Paul wanted to encourage unity within the church. In Philippians 4:2, Paulwrites: “I implore Euodia and I implore Syntyche to be of the same mind inthe Lord.” Even though this church was strong and faithful, there had beensome disagreement between two women in the congregation—Euodia and Syntyche.Paul gently encourages them to be reconciled and to have the same mind in theLord. Of course, earlier in chapter 2 he had already pointed them to theultimate example—the mind of Jesus Christ. Finally,Paul wanted to warn the believers about false teachers and encourage them tocontinue growing in their faith. In Philippians 3:2 he writes: “Beware ofdogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the mutilation.” Paul is referringto those who were known as Judaizers—teachers who tried to insist that Gentilebelievers must also be circumcised and follow Jewish law in order to be trulysaved. Paul strongly warned against anyone who tried to add anything to salvationthrough Jesus Christ. He was very aware that after he planted churches, otherssometimes followed behind him spreading false doctrine and confusing newbelievers. Aswe study this book, we will discover that it is a letter filled withgratitude, encouragement, instruction, and love. It reveals the heart of Paul who deeply loved his people and wanted them to continue growing in thegrace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Today, the Lord wants you to also beencouraged and strengthened by these same eternal Words!

Bigfoot Pie ThiefA 12-year-old boy finishing lunch at his grandparents' farm watched in shock as a furry hand reached through the open kitchen window and snatched one of Grandma's freshly baked apple pies from the sill. Grandma charged in swinging her hickory switch like a sword, cracking the knuckles of the thief and sending both hand and pie flying out the window. Racing to look outside, the boy saw a six-foot-tall, hairy creature sprinting toward the woods with the pie in its grip, grunting and laughing the whole way. Grandpa arrived just in time to see it vanish into the trees, then calmly sat the boy down on the porch and explained that the creature was a “Booger”—one of a small family living several miles over the ridge. The young male thief had been bold enough to test Grandma's cooking before, but the clan generally kept its distance and meant no real harm. Over the years the now-57-year-old narrator had many more encounters with the Boogers, some face-to-face, yet he always remembered Grandpa's advice: lower any weapon, raise empty hands, smile, and back away slowly. Treating them with the same respect given to any wild predator—giving them room and never crowding them—kept every meeting peaceful. The creatures sometimes passed through at night or watched from the woods, but they could also be surprisingly considerate; the morning after the pie theft, six fresh apples appeared on Grandma's windowsill as repayment. A casa onde morava foi a segunda da Barra da Tijuca. Cresceu entre a praia e a lagoa. Aprendeu a nadar cedo, foi um dos primeiros a surfar no Quebra-Mar e bateu muita bola na areia. Levou o surfe a sério e viveu no Havaí por um ano, onde disputou competições e realizou um curso de guarda-vidas. Também praticou judô, karatê e jiu-jitsu. Em um teste para ingressar na natação do Fluminense, se envolveu em uma discussão que despertou no treinador da equipe de polo aquático o interesse por ele. Durante mais de dez anos foi jogador, representando também o Flamengo. Chegou a ministrar treinos e viveu intensamente o ambiente competitivo das piscinas. Ingressou inicialmente na Engenharia, mas acabou se formando em Educação Física, conciliando estudos, treinos e trabalho. Em 1982, iniciou no triathlon, junto com as primeiras competições da modalidade no Brasil. Seu excelente condicionamento físico fez com que se destacasse rapidamente em um cenário que já se mostrava bastante competitivo. Ainda no primeiro ano, participou do Ironman do Havaí ao lado de Beto Dolabella e Ronaldo Borges, cruzando a linha de chegada como o melhor atleta sul-americano, com o tempo de 12h00'50". Sua trajetória evoluiu em paralelo ao crescimento do esporte no país, com pódios em diversas provas. Além de competir no Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo e Brasília, correu na Argentina, Suíça e até no Suriname. Retornou ao Havaí outras três vezes até 1987 e mostrou, em uma época ainda resistente a essa ideia, que atletas acima dos 30 anos podiam alcançar um alto rendimento. Acostumado a treinar sozinho, competiu também no ciclismo de estrada e em provas de mountain bike. O destaque nas competições o levou a ser eleito interventor e, posteriormente, presidente da Federação de Triathlon do Rio de Janeiro. Fundou uma empresa organizadora de eventos esportivos que, além do triathlon, promoveu provas de mountain bike. Paralelamente ao esporte, construiu sua carreira profissional primeiro como guarda-vidas e depois como policial civil. Participou da criação do centro de instrução do grupamento marítimo no Rio de Janeiro e contribuiu para a formação de gerações de profissionais. Mesmo aposentado, nunca se afastou do esporte, que define como seu vício. Quarter Madness is set to ignite Kewanee with excitement on March 13th, 2026. The Rotary Club of Kewanee and Prairie Chicken Arts Festival are joining forces, hosting their signature auction night at the Elks Lodge. Jon Looney and Dianne Packee joined Wake Up Tri-Counties to reveal the big prize for the night from Martin Engineering. You can watch the video below on our YouTube channel. The Yeti cooler full of goodies will be the last item of the night and is valued at $1,500! Regional Media's COO, Darren Brown, surprised Jon and Dianne with a donation of tickets to the Chicago Bulls game on April 10, 2026, to add to the prize list. What if one of the strangest mountains in Europe wasn't just a mountain?This week, we head to the border of Germany and Austria to explore the mystery of Untersberg - a massive limestone mountain looming over the city of Salzburg that has been surrounded by strange stories for centuries.At first glance, Untersberg looks like any other peak in the Alps. But beneath the cliffs and forests lies a vast underground labyrinth. More than 400 caves have been discovered inside the mountain, some plunging over a kilometer into the earth, and even today large portions of the cave system remain unexplored.And that's where the stories begin.Local folklore claims a powerful emperor sleeps somewhere inside the mountain - waiting for the day he will awaken and lead one final battle. Tonight's guest, Stan, had his first Bigfoot sighting a year ago, almost to the day. You see, on March 1st, 2025, one of Stan's friends, Ed, who is a member of the B.F.R.O, called Stan and asked him if he'd like to go out looking for Bigfoot. Stan said, “sure,” so his friend took him out to a reservoir close to Stan's home, in Oregon, that has Bureau of Land Management land around it. After they made it to the reservoir, they drove the mountain roads in that area. The two men were drinking iced tea as they drove up and down the roads, so eventually, Stan wound up needing to relieve himself, so he asked his friend to pull over. The decision to get out for that nature call was the genesis of what became an obsession for Stan when it comes to investigating Sasquatch. Here we are, one year later, and he's had 5 sightings and numerous other experiences with them. Bigfoot and Mountain MenWhile listening to a Bigfoot podcast on the porch, the narrator's 94-year-old great-granddad Elijah shared a secret from his youth. As a teen in early-1900s Tennessee, Elijah and his two best friends were close to a hermit called Crazy Joe, who taught them wilderness skills. When Joe vanished, his shack was wrecked; weeks later he returned wealthy, clean-shaven, and driving fine horses. He revealed he had once struck gold in a hidden Idaho valley guarded by giant, hairy “Ancient Ones.” Joe invited the boys west. They reached the remote Valley of the Ancients, lived with a Shoshone friend called Long Tooth, and learned the creatures' rules: leave food on a sacred rock and never chase them. In return, the gentle but towering Ancient Ones left gold nuggets almost daily. During three winters the boys glimpsed the hairy beings, hunted alongside them, and filled a wagon with wealth before returning to Tennessee as wealthy young men. Elijah used his share to buy the family farm that still stands today. When the narrator doubted the tale, Elijah produced a worn journal and a bag of gold nuggets matching every detail. Na escola em que estudou, foi incentivada a ter contato com diferentes modalidades esportivas, como atletismo e ginástica artística. Aprendeu a nadar ainda criança, porém apenas o suficiente para se virar nas viagens à praia. A primeira modalidade pela qual se encantou foi o handebol, que lhe ensinou o conceito de equipe e aflorou sua competitividade. Contudo, algo improvável aconteceu quando tinha 16 anos e foi, com algumas amigas, integrar o time em formação de polo aquático na atlética da Faculdade de Medicina da USP. Durante dois anos, conciliou os treinos na piscina com o handebol, até que chegou a um ponto em que teve de escolher e optou pelo segundo. Em 1998, foi convocada para a seleção brasileira júnior. O início tardio não impediu uma evolução rápida e, dois anos depois, passou a integrar também a seleção adulta. Representou o Club Athletico Paulistano e, posteriormente, passou a defender o Esporte Clube Pinheiros. Integrou a Seleção Brasileira feminina de polo aquático até 2012. Ao longo desse período, participou de cinco Campeonatos Mundiais de Esportes Aquáticos e de dois Jogos Pan-Americanos, encerrando a participação em Guadalajara, em 2011, com a medalha de bronze, após uma estreia pan-americana em 2007, no Rio de Janeiro, com a quarta colocação. Pela seleção, conquistou cinco títulos sul-americanos e foi campeã brasileira interclubes por dezesseis vezes, consolidando uma trajetória marcada por longevidade, regularidade e alto rendimento. Paralelamente à carreira esportiva, escolheu o curso de Nutrição, conciliando os estudos e, depois, o trabalho com os treinos. A decisão de parar com o polo aquático abriu uma oportunidade há tempos aguardada pelo marido: a de ingressar no triathlon. A partir de 2016, a modalidade passou a ocupar o centro da sua vida pessoal e esportiva. A adaptação foi rápida. Em 2017, conquistou o título do Circuito do Troféu Brasil de Triathlon. Fast forward to the year 2000. One day in the year 2000, D'von had gone on a camping trip with a group of his friends and their families at Lake Arcadia, which is northeast of Oklahoma City. The night they got there, D'von decided to explore the area around the lake, to see what was out there. He was hoping to find something interesting on that walk. It's a gross understatement to say that he did. Panning for Gold in Bigfoot CountryA lifelong outdoorsman from a Texas cattle-ranch background (former pro rodeo rider, music teacher, avid camper, fisherman, hiker, and fossil/rock collector) recounts two eerie, unexplained experiences that ultimately convinced him Bigfoot is real. While renting a remote 26-acre cabin outside Kerrville, Texas, he regularly fed local wildlife. For several nights he heard loud slapping/banging on the cabin walls; one night the impact was so violent it shook pictures on the wall beside his bed. His dogs were terrified. A trail camera later captured a large, shadowy face peering through the brush exactly where the noises occurred. Around the same time, a reported Bigfoot sighting happened just eight miles away. After moving to Santa Fe, New Mexico, he had a similar feeling of being watched while alone with his dogs on the remote Holy Ghost Trail (an area locals call haunted); the dogs bolted back to the Jeep in fear. In March 2021, during a solo gold-panning trip to Willow Creek in the Santa Fe National Forest, he discovered a set of enormous fresh footprints paralleling the creek—16 inches long, 5 inches wide, with a 4.5-foot stride. His dogs froze, staring into the brush; he felt intensely watched. He measured and photographed the prints (with his foot for scale) before racing back to his truck. Subsequent research revealed dozens of Bigfoot reports in both the Texas Hill Country and northern New Mexico locations where he had lived and hiked, including one near his old cabin on the exact night of the slapping incident. A hunter had also gone missing in the Willow Creek area, later featured on a TV show. Now living on the Texas coast (where sightings are also reported), he remains an enthusiastic outdoorsman but never hikes or camps without a firearm and keeps a close eye on his dogs. The Worst Bigfoot EncounterA lifelong hunter with over 45 years of experience—successful with everything from coyotes and deer to bear and turkey—announces he is selling all his firearms, gear, and donating his camo after a nightmarish solo turkey hunt in late April near Cave Run Lake, Kentucky. Traumatized beyond words, he has been unable to confide in family, friends, or doctors for fear of being institutionalized, and now reaches out anonymously with his story. While set up motionless against a massive black oak on a ridge, calling in a hot gobbler, he is suddenly seized from behind by a huge, dark-brown, hairy Bigfoot-like creature. Its thick, callused gray-skinned, gorilla-like hands clamp over his mouth/neck and around his waist, pinning him helplessly to the tree and neutralizing his shotgun. He watches in frozen terror as two sleek black, dog-headed “werewolf” or Dogman creatures—complete with erect ears and three-inch fangs—ambush and devour a doe in the clearing just yards away, ripping through meat and bone in minutes with clicking sounds and howls. When the pair turns toward his hiding spot, the creature holding him unleashes a deafening roar that summons a group of 4–5 more Bigfoot-type beings. They explode from the woods in pursuit, chasing the predators away. The Bigfoot then snatches his gun, hurls it into the brush, blocks his attempt to retrieve it, and finally releases him. The hunter sprints ten frantic minutes back to his truck (a trek that normally takes 45), abandons the shotgun on the ridge forever, and speeds away in panic. In the weeks since, he suffers crushing PTSD: insomnia, uncontrollable crying jags at work, paralyzing fear of any woods or even his own yard. He now drives extra miles on highways to avoid wooded county roads, refuses to sit on the porch with his wife, hires a neighbor kid to mow the lawn, and has called off or been sent home from work multiple times.
